Our waiter was able to speak English and that helped a lot. Menus was both German and English again making it easy for us. The special menu had tune tartare and it was very good. I added a combination of oysters that were delicious. Then main menu of salmon for my wife and lobster with spaghetti and lobster bisque sauce was wonderful. No room for desert but had caffeine free cappuccinos that were very good.

The bartender here can pretty much make any drink you want so my dirty martini and my friend's old fashioned were perfectly poured and presented. We started with a couple of the appetizers- the beef tartar is a little different than what I normally get as it is prepared table side and really had a wonderful flavor and texture. The other appetizer we had was the halibut ceviche and this too was very tasty and light. For my entree, I ordered the Sea breeze which was salmon, white fish and prawns and my dining companion went with the surf and turf. And for dessert we had the apple strudel (huge piece) and the creme brûlée which were both delicious. But what pushed this to a 5 star review for me was the level of service that we got from our server Armondo. He was attentive, pleasant and seemed to anticipate what we needed before we even knew we needed it. We actually went back another night just to sit in his section! And finally- the ambiance of this place is artsy and contemporary. A wonderful place to enjoy a nice dinner or even just to grab a drink at the bar.

The goose was so overcooked it was like goose jerky. The venison goulash was decent, but by no means exceptional. Service: rather mechanical and simply checking boxes instead of actually paying attention to customers. For example, we told her waiter we were ready to order. But instead of taking our order, he said wait I must first bring you bread. He disappeared, brought us bread, and then allowed us to order. Ambience: classy ands classic. Overall cleanliness: excellent Bathroom, cleanliness: below average, papers left all over the floor. Free Wi-Fi available

Our waiter was struggling to keep up. Drinks: ordered a beer because I don't like wine Food: we wanted to order but told wait till we get bread. Okay. I asked the waiter goose or wiener and before I finished the word, he said the goose for sure. I ordered the goose. The plate was lovely to look at. The goose was overcooked and so dry that it was so tough to cut it and eat, thank goodness for the sauce or it would have been inedible. The cabbage was the best part of the dish. The kale was overcooked mush. The puff of dough was interesting texture to the topping. Worse goose I have ever eaten. Bathroom: downstairs. Cool staircase. Clean until you went into the stall. The stall had toilet paper all over the floor. Restaurant: very clean

We arrived around 5:00 pm but since we had no reservation, the host informed us we would have only one hour to enjoy our meal before we had to leave. I speak only for myself as i was disappointed in my meal. I do not read German so had difficulty determining what I might want to eat. Our friend said no English menus were provided, so I decided on Vienna Breaded Chicken and salad with a lemon vinaigrette dressing (26,50 €). My plate arrived with three pieces of heavily breaded crispy chicken strips, a lemon wedge and a small bowl with butter lettuce coated with tasty dressing. The chicken, however, was dry and required a knife to cut through it. In the U.S., such chicken strips one might find at a fast-food restaurant like KFC and would come with a dipping sauce to heighten the taste. Fortunately my companions had no complaints about their food, so I'm supposing I simply ordered the wrong offering for my taste and the cost for such a simple meal.

The Brandenburg duck arrived looking like it knew exactly how good it was. Perfectly cooked, glistening, and confidently posed beside lush red cabbage, a tender dumpling, and a half caramelized apple that leaned in like it had a secret. One bite of the duck and--oh yes--succulent, rich, and finished with skin so perfectly crisp it crackled ever so slightly before melting away. Pure seduction on a plate. Our waiter was attentive in that smooth, unhurried way--patient and charming as I ordered in English, never rushing, always present at just the right moment. The kind of service that makes you linger longer than planned. The atmosphere? Romantic without trying too hard. Candlelit energy, soft murmurs, and the kind of elegance that invites close conversation and another glass of wine. Reservations after 6:00 pm are absolutely necessary--this place doesn't stay a secret for long. Lutter & Wegner doesn't just feed you... it flirts with you.
