I didn't actually end up eating here. Walked in and was instructed by the young man at the counter (whose heavily accented English I could barely understand) to order from the dishes posted on the wall. He said those were the combos that included rice, Nan, dessert, etc. I ordered and paid by credit card. Then he said I could also order off the menu and it would only include rice. But what I ordered would be the same price because it had tofu! I looked at the menu and realized there were dozens of other dishes -- I didn't HAVE to order the dishes on the wall. I ended up getting exasperated and cancelling my order. They didn't issue a refund on my credit card. I don't live in Boulder, so hopefully I'll be able to handle this by phone. read more

This place is delicious. Service is just fine. Portions are huge. I'm not an Indian food expert, but I gladly will give this place my money.

I order chicken saag every week, and the quality seems to have become quite inconsistent; moreover, I have bitten into large pits on several occasions and brought it to the owners attention each time. He offers nothing, accept promises to remove them. Why are there large, hard pits in a spinach dish?! The are dangerous to teeth, at the very least. Update: the owner sends me a response message, not only displacing responsibility for pits he admits can slip into this dish, but also telling me to take my business elsewhere in the future!!! Loved everything about Curry N Kebob. The people working there were really gracious, nice, and attentive. The prices are reasonable, which is a breath of fresh air after paying 50% more for less food at other Boulder Indian restaurants. And the food is leagues better than anything else I've tried here. So if you're surfing Yelp and getting frustrated that nobody seems to be able to agree who's the best between Clay Oven, Taj, Tandoori Grill, etc....give it up and go to Curry N Kebob. Oh. My. Guru. I was almost rendered speechless by the quality and authenticity of this place, but then I mustered myself to become un-speechless again so I could share the awesomeness of Curry N Kebob to the world! I have probably driven past this place over 100 times since I got my license about 5 years ago and never even noticed it. I would define it as a hole in the wall establisment, tucked inconspicuously between a Quiznos and a Little Ceasar's. I am so glad that someone recommended it to me and I doubt I will ever go anywhere else for my Indian food needs. My friend and I met for lunch and split the reasonably-priced lunch special. For a little over $7, we got mouth-watering chana masala, basmati, 3 hearty pieces of naan, rice pudding and a little appetizer whose name I don't remember. One thing I will say is that their spice level is not too intimidating- the employees warned us otherwise but I could barely detect any spice in the medium level. Anyhow, this place is fantastic, and clearly I recommend it, hence the five stars. read more

Absolute favorite! I love everything about Curry N Kebob! Their lunch and Dinner specials are great, Mushroom Mutter is my favorite and it's awesome that they're vegan friendly (anything can be made with coconut milk). Wish I could give it 4.5 stars - not 5 as my naan was slightly doughy, and I didn't have quite enough sauce in my jalfrezi. after living in London for 2 years we're always in search of great Indian food - this was it. flavors were excellent and I loved it. And my dish was the third best out of our the entrees! My daughter's mahkni was outstanding - very rich flavor. Their "hot" still only seemed medium to me, but maybe Colorado doesn't have the spicy genes as do many people farther west. read more

We have been eating at this place ever since it opened, since it is the closest place to our house that serves Indian food. Usually we get a vindaloo, makhani, or mushroom muttar. Typical of most restaurants, they seemed to put a lot of effort in at first to establish a clientele, but have slacked off quite a bit since then. We really liked the flavors and quality a lot initially, but the last 3-4 times we have been (we eat out a lot) we have asked ourselves why we spend so much on somewhat mediocre food. If you're looking for delicious Indian food for a reasonable price, you have found the place. My wife and I go here about once a week when we're too lazy to cook. The food is more authentic and less cream based than other Indian around town. Their Chai is delicious and they are fast and efficient. Awww man!! I've been waiting and waiting to be inspired enough to write a five-star review!!! This place is simply the best Indian food I've ever had. Basmati rice is perfectly delicious and the masala was out of this world good with the perfect amount of spice to give you that slightly 'high' feeling..you know what I'm talking about!! The chicken kebob was also perfectly seasoned and delightful. Ma and pa owned and both are extremely warm, welcoming and eager to please. Like others have noted, this is the Indian joint favored by natives themselves, always a great sign. Can't wait to try their other offerings. Everything is very reasonably priced (13$ was the high end) and so worth it for what seems to be homecooked food at it's very best. WINNER!! read more

My husband and I ordered take out from Curry n Kebob because of all the positive reviews here on Yelp. First, let me tell you that Indian cusine is a favorite of mine and my husbands and we have eaten great Indian food all around the country. How this place can get away with serving such garbage and passing it off as authentic Indian food is BEYOND! Every dish we ordered was watery, had a layer of oil pooling on the top and was completley lacking in flavor. Naan was soggy, the chicken pieces were odd, and the veggies were complete mush. This is by far my favorite Indian restaurant in Boulder. I lived in Delhi for three years and find this restaurant's food to be the closest to the North Indian food I grew to love with a passion there. The dinner special is a great deal ($9.95) for a choice from five entrees with rice, naan, a fried appetizer, dipping sauce and some pineapple. It's cooked fast, fresh and to your requested level of spiciness. The family owners are kind and the wait staff is fast and efficient. Their whole-wheat roti is superb (ask for it to replace the white-flour naan, which is also good). This is a casual restaurant where you order at the counter and then the staff deliver the freshly cooked food to your table. The food is always hot and perfectly cooked. My only complaint is that they rarely change the entrees available with the dinner special, but hey, the quality is always great, so why mess with success? They do have a separate menu you can choose from for a little more money. I can especially recommend the chicken kabob, which is served with bell peppers and spices (not on the actual kebab skewer), the saag paneer, the chicken vindaloo, and the lamb curry. Their mango lassi is great, too. They don't serve alcohol. In short, if you like truly authentic, fast, affordable Indian food cooked by a lovely family, don't miss this place! read more
