Popped in for a first-time visit. Only open 11:00 to 2:30. We were the only patrons and received a prompt greeting. Upon recommendation, we ordered the Indian beer. Large bottle served two generously. Mild and refreshing taste. Lamb samosa appetizer was three big, tasty lamb, potato and pea deep fried pieces. Arrived nice and hot. Tamarind, onion, and mint sauces added to different taste preferences. Lamb mango curry, medium, was just right choice of spicy. Huge chunks of tender lamb had lovely flavor in the sauce. Chicken korma, mild, was also enjoyed. Again, large chunks of tender meat. Chicken broth yellow rice added good flavor. Ordered the garlic naan bread which arrived as three generous pieces...hot and crispy with just a hint of garlic. Service was attentive and helpful with our choices. I thought they were closed, didn't see a single car in the parking lot but as we walked in we were immediately greeted. There wasn't a single table in there, we were the only ones but we didn't mind. The service is very fast. They see your plate almost empty and they are ready to take it away. However, they also see you cup of water low and they are ready to fill it back up. Let me start off by saying, the food was very good. On a scale out of 10, I'd give it an 8.5 without hesitancy. The reason for the 3 star review is the poor service. This was a take out order, so no comments on servers, but from walking in the ambiance seems to very clean, inviting and open. Now to the service, I ordered over $100 in food, between appetizers, meal, dessert, sides. I signed my receipt, left my 15% tip, and walked out. However I started thinking something was off when I read through receipt, and saw they charged me for an adult order of kid's meal, which was okay, but it was listed as spicy. I went back in and asked a hostess if the dish was indeed spicy, and she confirmed she reviewed. I asked if I could please swap it out for a kids version, because my 3 yr old couldn't handle the spice. Instead of making it easy, the owner argued with me if I was sure I asked for a kids meal, which I confirmed yes, even told him the cost, and what sides I wanted with the kids meal. He then started disputing with the hostess about the order, whom I didn't even place the order with originally, and after 5-10 minutes of this, he says I can pay for the additional item I want. I was very confused, but agreed because at this point I just wanted to leave and bring my family dinner. read more

Great food! The weekend buffet has a great selection allowing someone not familiar with Indian food to try a number of dishes.

The food is really good. Have been there a few times and never disappointing. The food isn't exceptionally spicy.

Lots and lots of sauce , very little amount of actual food: (very little amount of vegetables, meat or chicken) . Despite asking for mild, the Biryani takeout was so spicy we couldn't eat it. Not even with a galón of water. We had to throw it out. The vegetable Korma was half a can of mixed vegetables ( you know the ones with small diced carrots, peas etc.) in a bucket of sauce. Very disappointing. Fresh vegetables like broccoli, carrots, mushrooms etc. are not that expensive. Even Chinese takeouts give you some! read more

I was looking forward to trying this Indian restaurant, as I am not a huge fan of Cafe Roti. I came here with my friend for lunch on a Saa. They told us that the buffet was the only option (no menu service). So, this is what we went for. The buffet was quite small, offering one choice of naan, butter chicken, tandoori chicken, fried cauliflower, a tofu dish, a vegetable curry, and a fish curry. There might have been a couple of other items that I can't recalll, but the rest of the buffet was flushed out with chutneys, sauces, rice, and the gulab jamun dessert. I was a little underwhelmed with my choices, as I got the feeling that much of the flavor was "dumbed down" - spices were quite muted, especially compared to the dishes I have had in NY and NJ. The gulab jamun, however, was the best I have ever had and I would come back just for that. I do want to give dinner a try, where I could try their chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, and samosas (by which I judge all Indian restaurants); but I won't be returning for the buffet (unless I want dessert). read more
