Let's break down the details: 1. Not a first timer. 2. Service- okay. 3. Food- tasted like they added tons of chicken bouillon, 4. Kids found the chicken hard. Well I tried and had the same experience. 5. Biryani lacked flavors. 6. Ambiance - okay. Haven't changed inside for years. Overall - experience meh. read more

Found this place thru Yelp and have pass a couple times by but always looks like closed during the day , so I decided to give it a try , specially haven't seen another Indian cuisine restaurant in winter haven, This definitely a mom and pops type of restaurant and right of I have to start by staff here is graceful but still needs that personally touch with clientele, we were new to this place and we ask for recommendations but we didn't got that many recommendations from our server . Now menu can be little complicated if you haven't try Indian cuisine , which brings back the important part of staff be more engaging with customers to get a great sense of what you serving , maybe any specialties of the chef ? . But food was great , was brought up very fast and it was great flavor and presentation. Place has plenty of seating space but I think been this place so inside in the shopping center is really hide out , if you can show more from street that you are there I'm sure people will try your business more ... So overall great food , great prices and great inside ... little work to been seen from street and staff to be more engaging and you could be 5 stars.... Btw restaurant name now is red chilly's read more

Why all the good reviews? Place looks sterile no character. The service was mediocre. The butter chicken had a weird sweet taste and no spice even though we ordered medium spice, but worst of all the chicken was hard and dry. Naan was good (hard to mess that up). The chilly paneer was pretty good, but again sauce tasted sweet and no spice. read more

ANNIVERSARY, ADULT FOOD ADVENTURE!!! We have eaten at this establishment a few times. The food has been great every time so far. We have been here about 5 times in almost 2 years, in total. The servers are very nice, but unless you are a larger party they seem to forget to check back. You will have to get their attention for assistance. This has happened a couple of the times we have been here. I am leaving this review now b/c I remembered to take pics of the food. (Menu is already posted) We ordered the chat samosa appetizer, it's my wifes favorite!!! Then of course, 2 orders of Garlic Naan, SOOOOOOO, YUMMY!!! The chicken biryani was flavorful and the white sauce reminds me of a tzatziki. It's really good!!! The lamb korma is my favorite and it did not disappoint!!! We did have to bring our drinks up for a refill as I could not get our waiters attention. And be warned they like cash tips at this establishment and will ask for it, even when using a card/phone to pay. My wife also had a glass of Rose and stated it tasted like low quality wine, she knows her wines!!! All and all it's a great place to go to get Indian cuisine without driving 40 mins from our area. As long as the food stays consistent we can deal with the couple of cons in service. AS ALWAYS, TRY IT FOR YOURSELF!!! read more

Amazing food, good beer, and welcoming atmosphere! I could eat the cheese naan every day. Don't miss this place if you like Indian food!

Absolutely amazing food!! Our waitress, Elizabeth was awesome at recommending drinks and food and it was only her 3rd day there. Ambiance is casual but very nice. We will definitely be back! read more

Red Chillys - Indian Near Me - Winter Haven, Florida

This was my first introduction to InDian food and I'm so glad it was here. The staff and owner were very welcoming and helpful with the menu. It's not much to look at from the outside. Found in a tiny strip mall, not the nicest looking but I side the restaurant was clean. Decor was minimal, nothing really memorable. But the food was delicious. The shrimp curry was bright and so good. You could tell all the ingredients were fresh. The naan came in several flavors, our favorite was the garlic and the chive. read more

I absolutely loved the low light and quiet background music. It was very relaxing to sit and eat with my girlfriend in peace. The food presentation is wonderful and made it feel more like an experience than just another dinner. Also the food was so flavorful, I didn't want to stop eating. Service was quick, attentive and very kind. read more

Red Chillys - Chillys Chicken Curry Coconut Curry Salmon Butter Naan Garlic Naan - Indian Near Me - Winter Haven, Florida

Excellent High End Indian Cuisine in Winter Haven. We've been to Chilly Masala Indian Cuisine twice in the last two weeks. The food is so authentic and comes in massive portions. Across two visits, we started with Simosas and Simosas Chat. Both of which could be entrees by themselves. Filled with ground meat, peas, potatoes and spices served with crazy good homemade chutneys. The Simosa Chat was deconstructed with chutneys covered over the top and was really delicious and a must try dish. There were about 9 Naan choices. We had three: the Garlic Naan, the Chicken Tikka Naan and the Peshawari Naan. The garlic was great and inexpensive. The Chicken Tikka Naan could be a meal tasting like a stuffed Indian Chicken Pizza and the Peshawari Naan was a crazy good dessert which was like the best warm Coconut Macaroon with hints of baklava and honey (a must try dish). The Tandoori Chicken and Mixed Grill Dishes were as good as you will find in Indian restaurants. When the Tandoori Chicken arrived, our table gasped at how big and delicious it was. The entire chicken was marinated in pieces, grilled and reconstructed. The entire group could have eaten this as a single dish. Three of us ate it and I ate it two more times. The second time, I got the mixed grill which was slightly smaller but had four meats: Tandoori, Tikka and Malai Chickens and a minced lamb Shish Kabob sausage served with sautéed onions on a sizzling platter. All were excellent and worth a try. The Chicken Tikka Masala was my wife's and my favorite. A sweet and mildly spicy curry dish that was excellent and such a good sauce to spread over the various meats on the basmati rice. Sweet Lassi and Mango Lassi drinks were both great. I've also found that these yogurt drinks really help my digestion to cool off and tolerate all of the amazing spices without negative consequences. If you like exotic food, this is as good as it gets. The staff owns the restaurant, are friendly and will remember you and thank you for returning. We'll see you soon at our new Indian home. read more

I didn't like the way he asked us we cannot have our water. Which is so rude. Food is also not so great. Added so much color to the food. I don't recommend to anyone. read more

Updating 10/15/2025 We visited this amazing restaurant twice in the past two weeks. A family member of the original owner now owns the restaurant and changed its name to Red Chillys. You will see on Google that together, they have over 566 reviews and the average is 4.6 /5 star rating which is astounding. The best in the WH area and the flavors and spices are fantastic. Portions are huge. Our parties had mixed grill, Chicken Saag, Lamb Saag, Lamb Neelgiri korma, Chettinad chicken, Mango Chicken, and garlic naan. The naan is out of this world as are the other dishes. Winter Haven is SO lucky to have an Indian Restaurant of this high calibre! Service is always amazing: our waitress both times was attentive yet never obtrusive, and always accurate. Bathroom is clean, parking extensive and free. Tables and utensils are clean. Sidewalk has a ramp to accommodate walkers and wheelchairs. The new buffet looks enticing, but so is almost every meal and on the menu! There are also ample options for vegetarians. read more

My husband and I aren't new to Indian cuisine, but we were new to this restaurant, and we LOVED IT!!! We had the chilly's gobi manchrian for appetizer--10/10! I had Kadai chicken and hub had **chicken vindaloo. Both of those 10/10!!! **my hubby loves spice, but this was a little too much for him; he still said it was delicious** We also ordered the garlic cheese and peshawari (sweet and fruity) naan--both 10/10!! We will definitely be back! read more

Passing through on a roadtrip to Disney, we were craving Indian food and did a quick search to find Chilly Masala. What a GEM of a find! Everything we had was excellent. I wish this restaurant was closer to our home but I definitely have a reason to stop here every chance we can get. The Lamb Rogan Josh was so flavorful. The tandoori mixed grill easily feeds two hungry people. Staff were friendly and prompt but we also never felt rushed which is important when you want to truly savor allllll of these flavors. read more

This place is one of the most racially discriminated places I've eaten at. I have watched my parents who are (white in color) asked for extra spicy food to which they brought it mild and said I don't think you can handle the spice. They continued to look at my parents and constantly say you dont seem to eat a lot probably this is too hot for you too. Very dissatisfied never going there again. read more

THIS RESTAURANT HAS CURED MY DEPRESSION . I will be letting my therapist know that I no longer need her services since this food has fixed all of my problems in life. YALL HAVE TO COME TRY THEIR FOOD OUT. I swear, this Tikka Masala has completely turned my life around. If you're in Winter Haven, this place is a must . I'm only sad that they ran out of Mango Lassi before I got there . It must have been good . P.S. they are also next to a liquor store . What is there not to love??? read more

Horrible experience 40 minutes to get the food the food was an edible. The service was astonishingly horrible. When I went to talk to the manager about problems he just looked at me with a blank stare. My friend could not eat his dish, so that money was refunded but since I ate part of my chicken tikka masala, I was not reimburse, but this is the worst Indian restaurant that could ever be in the Central Florida area read more

Great food and service. Will be going back whenever I'm in town!. We shared 5 dishes and loved them all. Naan was yummy too.

We met a friend at this amazing little restaurant per her recommendation. Every time that I have had Indian food I was never impressed but Chilly Masala changed all of that. I ordered the Vindaloo Shrimp. Spicy Shrimp cooked with potatoes and malt vinegar. I ordered this dish with a medium spicy level and it came out perfect. The shrimp were large and there was lots of them. I also ordered Garlic Naan. My wife had Chilly's Mango Chicken. Maharashtrian style curry, chicken cooked in a Chef's special mango sauce. The Mango curry was amazing. So amazing that I ordered a side of the curry to dip my naan into. This was my second visit and I can't wait to go back. I gave it four stars only because of the tipping situation. Both times the server asked that we pay the tip in cash however they allowed us to pay the tab with a card. read more

There is curry mantra in Orlando and curry mango in Lakeland Highlands. Then there are other Indian cuisine restaurants in the area. This one comes in the other category. Since they have just started, I may give it another try. Doubt it. The food lacks Indian flavor. Raita was watery. I asked for a toothpick and the waitress ask to self serve from the front of the restaurant. Bad service. Madras coffee is good. read more

Second time eating their food. First time (eat in) was good. Second time (take away) two of the three dishes were fine (nothing better than fine) but the third dish (junglee Lal mas) was so incredibly salty as to be virtually inedible. There was no flavor to be tasted EXCEPT salt. I hate leaving bad reviews, so I messaged the restaurant TWICE through their website abs have not had a response, hence leaving this review now. read more
