Lamb Vindaloo
Buse C.

WOW! I'll start by saying I only have Indian like once or twice a year because I'm never really craving it. It's generally heavier for me because I grew up on Mediterranean food. HOWEVER! I'd go here once a month just for the butter chicken rigatoni. It's like Italian meets Indian. It was SO good. I ordered it Indian spicy and it was perfect (if you like heat). My brother ordered the lamb vindaloo which was also delicious. His was definitely spicier because I think butter chicken is made with cream. The chicken tikka naanza is basically a pizza with seasoning lol. It's chicken tikka and the sauce is tikka too I think. It's not like regular pizza sauce. And then the crust is a thin naan bread style. AMAZING! Everything was cooked well and flavorful. The restaurant was very clean. Most of the employees were very friendly and attentive except ours. But the other employees made up for her lack of presence lol. I think one thing they could work on is timing. My meal came first. Then 5 minutes later the pizza app, then 12 minutes later, my brothers meal. He at some of my food and ate almost half the pizza before his food came. Just need to organize when food comes out. Our meals should have came together.

THANK YOU Curry Leaves for finding your way to Lakeland! How did you know we were in desperate need of another good Indian spot?! But really, there have been at least 2 Indian restaurants in Lakeland that have closed the past few years- I only know of one other still nearby. As someone who lovessss this type of food it was so sad. So thank goodness Curry Leaves decided to move here! If I remember right, they were in the Brandon area before and then came here. When you first come to Curry Leaves, don't mind that it's connected to a Quality Inn. This couldn't be more of an oxymoron as the restaurant itself is super nice, clean and honestly even a little fancy. It elevates the Quality Inn, if anything. This is on my top list of Indian places I've been to- and that's saying a lot because I've tried a lot of Indian places. Even a family member of mine who hasn't liked this kind of food preciously enjoyed what she had here. They cook the lamb just right so it's soft and juicy. The naan is thick but cooked through and they even have a naan that has coconut flakes baked inside that's surprisingly good. On the weekends they have a buffet that I am definitely going to come try at some point. I have thoroughly loved everything I've had here. They do even have a full bar here too, and they serve Indian beer which my friend and I were very curious about. Highly highly recommend!

Been wanting to come here for a minute. They have a sister location in Tampa but this is newer, prettier and easier to get to for me. They have a weekend buffet..I repeat weekend! Most Indian restaurants do buffet during weekday lunch hours so that's nice. I think I heard someone say the menu changes daily so it's always new and fresh items if you want to come in frequently. They have beautiful mural on the back wall near the dosa station. Mango lassi- 10/10. Perfect combo of mango and yogurt but the cherry on top was the cardamom and other spices that added to it. Gulab jamun- 10/10. Best I've had at any Indian restaurant hands down. Doesn't taste like it's out the box or freezer section. Also has spices and shaved almonds to add some flare. Key things from the buffet I loved- chicken 65, tandoori chicken, egg vindaloo, lamb curry. Only reason I gave it 4 stars is cause we weren't given a menu (I wanted to see what drinks or a la carte items they had) nor direction on if we close the bill at the table or up front. Return? Yes Recommend? Yes

Amazing Indian food, probably one of my top Indian restaurants so far. I really enjoyed my experience with this elevated Indian cuisine. From the outside, this place didn't look too promising since it was hidden by a hotel, but walking in the ambiance and interior felt "boujee" as my dad put it haha. The interior was classy and had a fine dining feel. I enjoyed every single dish we had! Firstly, we were given complimentary crispy appetizers (not sure what the name is) with three different dipping sauces. The crispy appetizers themselves were crispy and flavorful. My dad and I enjoyed all the sauces. I don't know the names of them, but one was yogurt, one was sweet, and one was savory and they were all yummy. Next we were given the mango lassi. It was delicious and refreshing! It was made with high quality mangoes blended with yogurt and spices and it wasn't too sweet. Next we were given the Chicken Tikka Naanza which was sort of like an Indian pizza. This was really good! The crust was naan and on top was the chicken tikka with stretchy cheese. Everything worked together, loved this fusion dish. Lastly, we got the lamb biryani and it was delicious. The rice was fluffy, flavorful, and had good heat. The lamb was also flavorful, juicy, and tender. I also loved the caramalized onions in the rice. The rice paired well with the side yogurt which helped render the spiciness. I wasn't the biggest fan of the side pickles though. The service was also great, efficient, and attentive. The servers made sure our waters were filled and they even replaced our plates after we finished our appetizer. I would highly recommend this Indian restaurant to anyone passing through the Lakeland area and I want to try the original location in Tampa one day.

Incredible Indian restaurant attached to a Quality Inn hotel located in Lakeland FL!!! A must try; especially for the weekday lunch special! For $14 you have the option of protein, sauce, naan, lentils, rice, and a small fresh salad. Incredible deal for the amount and quality of food! While the location in a Quality Inn does seem odd, their Tampa location (also great!) is located adjacent to a gas station. Must be their thing lol. The restaurant itself is super clean, up to date, and has a nice ambiance to it. When I went it was a little busy during the lunch hour, but I overheard a waiter saying how it gets packed on the weekends. They do a buffet F-S and I could definitely see the appeal. Service was great too! Food: It was a pleasant surprise to get a complimentary snack when I first sat down. I believe it was papadum (a sort of Indian cumin cracker) served with 3 different types of sauces. For the lunch special I ordered the chicken masala and this came with basmati rice, sal tadka lentils, butter naan and a kachumber salad. The naan was perfectly crisp!! Everything was exceptionally flavored and perfectly aromatic. The chicken was not overcooked and the salad was a refreshing addition to the meal. I was shocked at the value of the lunch special, and definitely took leftovers home! Recommend this Indian restaurant to anyone!

Best Indian food in Lakeland. We are lucky to have this highly successful Tampa restaurant come to north Lakeland! It is a beautiful space with an excellent chef. Waiter service was exemplary & professional. Dishes were presented beautifully. I love that it is NOT buffet all the time but that option is available on weekends. It was a quieter venue. I enjoyed seeing a meeting between the restaurant and a family using them for catering a large family celebration. The location is immediately off I4 to the south and tucked inside a hotel. I cannot wait to return and try some other goodies with the gentle but unique flavors of India!

Karahi Vegetables, added chicken (Medium Spice)

We went to Curry Leaves last night with 2 friends who have been there several times. Curry Leaves in Tampa is my fave Indian restaurant in Tampa so I was excited to eat at their Lakeland location. It's inside the Quality Inn, but the decor inside the restaurant is really nice! Service was fantastic. Everything that we had was delicious. We ordered garlic naan to share. I ordered Karahi Vegetables, and added chicken (Medium Spice)... LOVED IT! Hubby ordered Karahi Chicken (hot). Our friends ordered Chicken Korma & Chicken Varutharachathu, which they both loved. We also had this incredibly delicious dessert... Gulab Jamun Cheesecake. We were told the owner made it. Highly recommend making room for that after dinner!! We will definitely be back.

A quick stop for an impromptu lunch was rewarded with a surprisingly delicious Indian buffet. We only arrived 30 minutes before closing but the food was delicious! Had some doubts about the location (being located next to a hotel and right off the highway, behind a gas station), but the rich flavors and ample variety of popular dishes quickly put my doubts to rest. Overall the ambiance was good - plenty of natural light, clean, moderately spacious and an upscale bar area. Highly recommend checking out Curry Leaves!

What a wonderful experience! The food was absolutely fabulous. You have to get the bread basket with a variety of naan! I was so impressed with the flavors and service that I will make this a regular!

Sev Puri... Amazing!
Lynd C.

Let's start with the pleasant atmosphere and helpful staff. We started with Rupee beer - Mango which was refreshing. The Sev Puri appetizer is a must have. The light and crisp exterior with a delicious filling just melted in our mouth. The butter chicken is the best I've had. The Saag Paneer had the fresh spinach taste and the perfect med heat. I would give this an extra star if I could! Yum!!!

It's located in a busy plaza with Publix and other shops, so parking is easy and plentiful. The restaurant can get pretty packed, but unless you're coming in with a large group, reservations aren't really necessary. The buffet leans heavily Asian, offering sushi, a wide variety of seafood dishes, classic Chinese favorites, and a hibachi station. That said, if you're not big on seafood (like me), you'll still find some solid American options. Many Asian buffets tend to limit those choices to basics like pizza and chicken tenders, but Buffet City goes a bit further. I was pleasantly surprised to see pot roast, mashed and roasted potatoes, and even fried chicken. They also have soups, salads, and a dessert selection that's actually pretty good. Come prepared--this is definitely an "elastic waistband" kind of place because you're going to want to eat your money's worth. The restaurant is surprisingly clean and well-kept, and the food stays fresh. The hibachi station has a great selection, and the chef is quick and thorough. Service is decent. Staff come around to refill drinks and clear plates regularly--but be warned, if you're not finished, guard your plate like it's gold. Same goes for your utensils--leave them on a plate, and they're gone. Overall, we really enjoyed the experience--the food, the atmosphere, and the fun of loading up our plates with a little bit of everything. Hope you enjoy it just as much! Let me know what you think.

The restaurant has plenty of space-both the dining room and parking lot are large, making it easy to accommodate bigger groups. When you walk in, there is a medium-sized bar towards the back, and spacious dining area to the left with both booths and tables. Our group of eight chose to sit outside on the patio, which was comfortable even though it faces the parking lot. The atmosphere overall felt warm and welcoming. Our server, Emily, was wonderful- friendly, upbeat, and incredibly attentive. Even though she was new, she handled our table like a pro. The menu offers a solid selection at reasonable prices. We started with Fried Pickles and Chicken Wings, which the whole table enjoyed. For entrees, we ordered a variety of dishes; the Brisket Sandwich, Pulled Pork, Smokehouse Wrap, Smoked Chicken Plate, and the Baked Potato Bowl. Each meal came with a side dish, including Mac & Cheese, Fries, Collard Greens, Hushpuppies, and Cornbread. Everyone was happy with their food. Portions were generous, and the meats were smoked beautifully-tender, juicy, and full of flavor! We lingered at the table, enjoying both the food and the company. Low and Slow Smokehouse delivered a great experience with excellent food and friendly service. We'll definitely be back!

At first glance this place looks like a really cool hangout. The mix of metal roofing and American motif gives it a gritty look. Looks to have plenty of seating to include a covered outdoor area. Looked to be clean and organized. Service was spot on and our hostess/server was quick to provide menus and silverware. She immediately took drink orders and returned rather quickly. My friends and I chose the buffet as it was recommended by my friend's cohorts. According to them "they have the best beans and BBQ buffet". A Looking it over there were several meat choices. There was hamburger patties in a brown gravy, several flavors of chicken wings, pulled pork, meatballs, and burnt ends. Overall it was okay at best. Flavors weren't consistent. For example I had a meatball that was very spicy. But the other was bland. I thought the burnt ends were a bit dry as if they sat there all day. The problem with that is we went as they opened. The pulled pork was a bit mushy. The BBQ wings were pretty tasty. I also tried the garlic parmesan. I thought they were a bit salty. Now for the sides. I felt the macaroni was a bit overcooked as opposed to al dente. Hush puppies were okay. The beans were actually good in my opinion. A nice addition was pork rinds. I don't know if they were house made and I forgot to ask. I really didn't go up for seconds as nothing really impressed me. Afterwards I did try their peach cobbler. Mushy and lacking either ice cream or whipped cream. They did have a salad bar. It looked to be fairly fresh. And I wanted to also add, for an extra $5 you can have all you can eat sliced brisket. At $17 I wasn't going to tack another $5 for kess than impressive BBQ. Overall I'd have to say there are far better choices for BBQ in Lakeland. Would I go back? Maybe, but I'd express my opinion. For what I paid I could have gotten a far better meal at Mojo Federal in Downtown. Just saying.
