The food here is easily a "5" with some opening glitches in service. They're open 11-2:30 and 5 to 10 pm so be mindful of the break in hours. Lunch is buffet style ($10 weekdays, $12 weekends) and supper is off an extensive menu. We found north & south Indian dishes with several "Punjabi style". Everything on the lunch buffet was labeled by dish and two included "spicy" entrees. There were at least 10 entrée options plus salad with 2 nearby chutneys that made nice dressings on salad or meats (mint, tamarind) & watermelon. It's a one-sided buffet and those coming 12-1 were experiencing lines at the door and at the buffet. We loved EVERY entrée and found them perfectly and subtly spiced. It was a great opportunity to sample many new and varied dishes. We love the broccoli pakora (fried broccoli) and the mango spiced wings. The butter chicken had a tingly spice to it (like Café Roti's milder version better). The lentil/pea dal was great. There was a lovely cabbage dish and another with cauliflower in a white sauce. Enjoyed the tandoori chicken. Dessert was a decadent vermicelli milk hot pudding, We were nicely full in one pass through the buffet but did go back for some "last tastes". The naan was good but not fabulous. Our plates were removed and water glasses filled quickly initially but this waned toward noon and no one to be found to deliver our check. It would've been nice PR to have someone on the floor visiting tables and explaining dishes. Servers barely spoke. Café Roti has a nicer "old world" ambiance and some delicious classics (but too loud music and difficult close parking). This place seems to have a greater menu variety and excellent & varied flavors. I see from others that the buffet items were not the same daily. We will return again and again, and intend to support both Indian cuisine experiences in Lakeland! read more

Tried this place for the first time tonight and was not disappointed! They have a very large menu selection including many vegan options. We don't have many Indian cuisines around so I'm so happy we came across this one! They even have Indian beers, my bf got the Taj Mahal and it was a nice big beer. My only wish is that my food was spicier but I love spice so I'll be sure to say that next time! Overall service and food was great, we will be back! read more

I have to admit that my first reason for trying this place was the $10 lunch buffet. Thankfully, this was not your run-of-the-mill "get what you pay for" type of buffet. Everything was delicious and there was enough of a variety to suit different tastes. I've been trying to "eat clean" and not overindulge but Curry Mango made that impossible! How they are able to provide such quality and that price point is beyond me. I also must mention that the place is very clean and the staff is most gracious. We enjoy Curry Mango as a destination for Indian food. It is a large open restaurant. A pint of premium Indian beer, Taj Mahal is only $6. The hot garlic chicken wings are a very good appetizer. Spicy, crunchy and tasty. My wife ordered curry goat while I special ordered goat vindaloo. Both dishes were spicy and tasty. We did notice though that there were chunks of lamb in our our meal. We didn't mind and did not not complain. The servers are friendly but it does not appear organized as we had different people attending to our table. Our bill was presented to us without asking us about desert so we paid the bill and left. If they could ramp up the service this would be a 5-star rating. We have eaten here several times and enjoy Curry Mango. read more

After a few less than pleasing visits to Cafe Roti I gave up on eating some of my favorite dishes here I'm central florida but I'm happy to announce Mango Curry has changed all of that! After hearing nothing but great things about this place , we finally got the chance to try it! All I can say is WOW! I grew up eating Indian food( father is Pakistani) so was a bit skeptical because, well, my dad is an awesome cook! We were not disappointed! The portions are perfect, the presentation was beautiful and atmosphere relaxed. We had the mango wings and samosas for appetizers(YUM) My entree was the Mango curry chicken (medium heat)and it was spiced perfectly for my palate. Needless to say, my plate was clean! We had the Sunday buffet a few weeks ago. The service was good even though they were quite busy. The buffet had a pretty good selection, but nothing for those of us on restricted diets. The buffet was challenging since there weren't double lines and people were frequently reaching through rather than waiting their turn. The staff was amazing. Had the worst customer service experience here a few mins ago. Walked in and the guy in front said the buffet closes in 2 mins so I cannot do buffet. Said okay and opted to sit outside. After sitting outside he came to tell me that I need to come inside or else they would not able to serve me if someone comes to sit inside...huh? The kicker was as I followed him back inside he did not offer me the courtesy of holding the door open....he left it open and so the door hit me as I entered behind him. I've always wanted to try this place since the day I saw it driving by. We had our first dinner and it will not be our last. The place was clean, the food was amazing and the people were friendly. I enjoyed our curry dishes Fish Tikka Masala, Curry Mango Lamb Curry and Vegetarian samosas with our garlic naans. This has got to be one of the best restaurants in town. Definitely the best Indian. I have been multiple times and this last time I did the lunch buffet. I didn't even know they had one but they had such a great selection of curries, salads, pickles and desserts. The temperature was hot and the flavors were amazing. My wife got the Butter Chicken and I got the Kerala Chicken Curry and both were so flavorful and delicious. Garlic Naan was so fresh and flavorful. Also, we tried the Rasmalai for dessert, which was interesting with unexpected flavors and yet so good. We will definitely be back for authentic Indian food.
