The food is fresh and delicious, each dish I have tried is very good. Most recently I had the eggplant dish with beef, the flavor of the sauce was amazing! everything was cooked just right. Went tonight. I had the beef rendang it was all fat and tendons no meat. 4 bites into a napkin. Really not good.. The sauce was gritty like sand. The thai iced tea tasted like kimchi. Maybe the fridge needs a clean out. Nasilemak chicken curry coconut rice peanuts. Chicken seemed on the verge also tendon-y. The table that we sat at was very wobbly and the table top was gummy sticky. Disappointed. The waiter was very nice. I have never gotten a check right after the food was delivered but neither of us were going to eat or drink anything more go we got the check and left. Not going back. No thank you. Not delicious. Delicious Hidden gem of North Coast. Drove by this restaurant many times decided today to give it a try. The food DID NOT disappoint!!! Authentically made Roti Canai Malaysian adoption of Indian Roti with a side of curry dripping sauce in a beautifully fine sauce holder. The Ipoh Seafoods Curry noodle is wonderfully rich in broth filled with Fish cakes, shrimp and chicken. We had not been to Curry Leaf in years, we did not find it too exciting. But we heard it was under new ownership and a friend said that it was really good so we gave it a chance. It was excellent. The dishes now are bold and flavorful. We shared the Basil Eggplant and the Pad Kra Pao. Both fantastic. We can't wait to go back and try other menu items. Honestly this place is such a hidden gem in humboldt and is sooooo good. I've never had a bad meal here or bad service. Food comes out quick. Staff is good with suggestions for trying new things. Food is great and so flavorful and has such a good variety of different Asian cuisines that this area has been starved for. Fantastic! Under new ownership with new chef and Thai menu. We were very unimpressed with the previous iteration .. but heard great things about this new place and decided to give it a try. So glad we did! Excellent in every way! The new owner Alex is so warm and inviting, making it a point to visit with all his guests. It's a family affair, with Auntie, a long time chef, in the kitchen and cousins on the wait staff. Produce is freshly sourced from their family farm. The food was perfectly prepared and so tasty. Curry Leaf is now under new management and switched its cuisine to Thai. It's a huge improvement. The staff were friendly and responsive to our table. The food was great. I have zero clue how this is only 3.7! The service was PHENOMENAL! They kept checking on us and making sure we were okay. As soon as we entered the restaurant, it was freezing inside. Outside was 37 degrees and we thought it just be cozy inside. The guy said heaters were not working. We choose a warm spot got our jackets and ordered ramen, Indian noodles and tempura. Tempura was soggy with lot of oil in it. There was a hair in the ramen soup we ordered. It felt disgusted. While visiting family near Eureka, we drove past the Curry Leaf restaurant sign N/B on 101 coming into Eureka. Liking Asian and Indian cuisine, I had to give it a try. The interior and exterior look recently remodeled, clean and orderly. The three of us ordered off the menu (see pictures). Our order took about 15-20 minutes. When it arrived (see pictures) the dishes looked and smelled as we hoped. I ordered the chicken curry. My wife and sister order the Pad Thai and Hometown Beef Chow Fun. All dishes were delicious. The service was polite and prompt. After dinner I ordered the tempura banana dessert. It was tempura banana split lengthways, with ice cream and whipping cream with chocolate drizzle. Awesome! Overall, we were very glad we stopped by, we will come back, and hope others enjoy the food and service. This place is a keeper! read more

I'm feeling nice today, so I am going to give a three star rating. To start off, correct me if I am wrong but soup dumplings are supposed to have actual soup broth inside and the skin shouldn't be as thick as it is. It didn't even have any taste to it and the skin was gummy. The kimchi fried rice comes with carrots and corn and edamame and just wtf? This was the reason I ordered from this restaurant because my daughter loves kimchi fried rice, this was inedible. Just unbelievable, I want to go into the restaurant kitchen and zhow them how simple and easy a good kimchi fried rice is to make. The fried dumplings were ok. They were edible st least. The one good positive thing was the beef satay. Just wow! Not dry, they were tender and flavorful and if I knew I would have just ordered 4 of those and called it good. So sad that I have to come up to Eureka once a month and there isn't a single decent Asian restaurant in the area. Do the residents here just not like Asian cuisine? Oh well. I wouldn't order from here again. Except I might swing by for some beef satay. Oh and the scallion pancakes...hardly any scallions at all, but they were flaky, though a bit tough. At least it was edible. Way too pricey for the quality you get! I was excited that there may actually be a halfway decent Asian restaurant, but was majorly disappointed. read more

8 mos. ago I had the S1 on the menu. It was well worth it in a thick brown tasty chili sauce with lots of veggies and it was enough to bring home and have for 3 meals. I finally made it back all this time later and ordered the same thing to go. When I got home I opened what looked like a bowl of soup, no thick brown tasty chili sauce. It was like a bland Ramen broth with only one slice of red pepper (lots of onions and celery) no baby corn..but the chicken was tender. It is very bland and has no flavor and disappointing for 20 dollars. It looked like 1/3 of the amount I received before. I waited months to make it back to what I thought was one of the best tasting dishes and just have a bowl half filled with broth and chicken, onion and celery and no flavor. I didn't want to call them or make anyone feel bad, yet, I won't be going back. The egg rolls were so tasty mos ago also but these had no pork at all that I could see and just didn't have the flavor they did before. The bowl of broth (it was like chicken soup with no flavor)made the cashews somewhat soggy,also. I wonder if they have a new cook, yet, someone should do something to make sure customers receive what they order :) The service was great, she was a sweet girl. I do not recommend the kung pao beef at all but I will saw their fried rice is super good. They also have decent thai tea and a very sweet plum wine. There's usually not much of a crowd so the food comes out quickly. read more

The first restaurant I wanted to go to was full, but I had passed Curry Leaf on my way there. So I came back. And I really enjoyed my meal. I got their Malaysian Curry Noodle dish. Not Authentic At All! Was hoping for some genuine and authentic Malaysian food, but quite disappointed. Being born, raised in Asia, and having visited SE Asia numerous times including Singapore & Malaysia, I found the food in this place totally lack authenticity. One of the dishes, Hainan Chicken Rice, which is considered signature and a gold standard of Malaysian food, came out absolutely wrong. The piece of chicken was deep fried chicken and badly burned at that. Half of the chopped pieces were not edible due to the over fried. When it came out I couldn't even believe my eyes. Anyone who has tasted or even seen Hainan Chicken Rice knows that the chicken is NEVER deep fried. The Nasi Lemak was lacking favor, not fresh, and generally inauthentic. And the rest of the stuffs they served were equally unremarkable and forgettable. Will not repeat and do not recommended. read more

Each dish was pretty good, not the best compared to other Asian restaurants but overall a nice meal. Lots of different options you don't find elsewhere in Eureka. The inside decor needs an upgrade, old furniture and carpet. And the music didn't fit the atmosphere. Loud pop music with a lot of base. The server was very friendly and had great suggestions.
