Hello. My family and I drove from oaklawn il. To come to Currito tonight, and we brought my sister inlaw, and talked up how great currito is, Luke Chipotle but 100x better. Don't get me wrong. Food was great. But being asked to leave at 9 promptly is 1000% unacceptable for any restaurant establishment, we arrived at your restaurant at 8:28, by the time we ordered and checked out was 8:35. Ordered a Tikka burrito, a cheese wrap, and a side of rice, and i was gping to givey baby a bit of cheese quesidilla, and a little rice with a side of sweet pot, and 2 byob, and then 3 shakes. And tipped 15%, total was 80 dollars and some change. Took us about 20, 25 minutes to get our food, which was odd, since there was only 1 person in front of us at this point. But anyways. My wife and sister in law get their bowls first, I let em know go sit down eat, and start eating I'll be right there. So I thought. Another 5 minutes passes. Mind you I'm still waiting patiently. Then the same girl who was working register came up to me, and said so sorry we shut the grill off, can't do any more burritos. Like ok whatever just give me it as a bowl. Kinda wanted a burrito, but not a big deal, then she puts my food in a basket and gives me a Buffalo chicken bowl instead of a Tikka bowl, but again whatever. I eat it. Why did you shut off grill if you knew I had a burrito, but no worries somehow the girl who asked us to leave made a Tikka bowl, so I got a Tikka bowl after I began eating my Buffalo bowl, but never got my cheese wrap/quesidilla. So at this point, I'm sitting down, at the table with my wife and baby and sister in law. Young Hispanic girl comes up to pur table and says just so you know we close at 9, so you need to leave. To which my wife responded 100% appropriately, so we spend 80 dollars, and wait over 20 minutes for our food, and my son was in the middle of eating his food as well. I am not getting up and leaving. But my wife says this. Girl response was brilliant. Would you like some lids and a bag you can take it to go. Hahaha ok, not going anywhere I'm finishing my food. Normally don't make a stink about restaurants and bad customer service. As I work in a full service restaurant. The area director or the gm or someone who going to get a earful on this one. Oh and trust me well deserved. If my 1 year old son wasn't there I wouldn't care. Whatever just shitty team members. But no, I never get to.go out as my wife works full time. As do I. I work in a restaurant so most weekends I work. So let's go out on a wensday. Boom then get asked to leave. Really living up to your core values. In creating memories. Whether they be good or bad I guess read more

I really loved this place! I honestly was not sure what to expected but it's like a healthy chipotle. They have a parking lot shared with panera so during lunch hrs might be tight. That's probably why I chose to go around 130pm. I ordered the harvest bowl with chicken. It was real good! And filling! It's not too pricey and it's not far from work. So next time I go out for lunch I'm gonna make another go at it! read more

I saw the reviews before coming to this place and I decided to give it a shot. We parked right next door and it was free. Walked over and the place looks modern and clean. The menu is easy to understand and it was also easy to order. The lady at the register took my order and it didn't take long to get my order. Tried a bowl , salad and a shake. All were good to taste. I did have to go back and get the guacamole I ordered but did not get. The space is clean and spacious. A guy came over to take the plates away. We stayed for a while and was comfortable to be there. The seats are close to one another so not a lot of privacy but it's was fine with me. The washrooms were also clean. Will come again. read more

This is one of my favorite places to eat but I was disappointed the last time I went. It first started off and they failed to let me know they didn't have hummus for my bowl before ordering. Hummus is 1 of the ingredients but at the time I was like ok I get it since I work in the Food & Beverage Market and know sometimes you don't get something when ordering your food orders. But then we got our food and started to eat while mid way through our dinner they shut the lights off at 8:40pm. The restaurant closes at 9:00pm. It's 1 thing to lock the doors for new guest to come in but to shut the lights off on us was just so disappointing. I ended up not finishing my bowl because I felt rushed. Sadly I will have to rethink about returning. Also no thanks for coming on by. They were so worried about getting everything all cleaned up to leave quickly. read more

I was looking for something delicious and healthy, and this place was perfect! I got the Bangkok Bowl and it was delicious, the perfect amount, and filling. Not only was the good great, but the service and atmosphere was nice as well. The staff was super helpful and friendly. The facility was clean, comfortable, and I really enjoyed listening to their music while I was getting some work done. If you're in the area and want something delicious and healthy, I highly recommend this place!!! read more

Good choice for Vegans and Vegetarians! Enjoyed the Tikka bowl a lot - the garbanzo beans were warm and tasty, tikka sauce very flavorful and cucumbers etc contributed a lot. Try it with arugula for added taste and nutrition! The 4 stars is for the Tikka Bowl. Also tried the Bangkok bowl and didn't enjoy that quite as much - the tofu was flavorless as many have already observed, and the flavors just weren't as compelling. Ordered for take out on Yelp and that worked great (timely and special instructions were followed) - highly recommend using that service. read more

This place is comparable to Chipotle but has many other ingredients if you're craving Indian, Thai, Mexican, Mediterranean, and/or everything. I built my own bowl and loved that they had quinoa and farro as grain options over rice. I filled my bowl with all the veggies possible, and I got to say, the caramelized onions are a game changer. Highly recommend, worth every buck. read more

Can't believe i never heard about this place before.. I found this restaurant when I was at my appointment for eyebrows across the street and checked on their reviews.. I decided to give a shot, wow glad I did! A lot better than chipotle because I feel like this restaurant is more healthier. I finished my bowl and didn't feel disgusted or regret for eating my food like now I did with chipotle! Definitely will be coming back anytime i go get my eyebrows done! read more

Amazing place. Sorry I don't have picture of my burrito because I ate it too fast. Ladies behind the counter are super friendly (if not considering the fact that they are beautiful). Had my food created top notch, steak done well, and I asked them to impress me with the burrito and they sure did. One thing that bothers me till this point is that they don't accept tips... any solid minded person understand that you can cook food professionally but if you didn't put heart into it, it won't be that good. All waitresses in the world deserve tips. So due to the will power given to me, I pronounce you their new tip jar. (BTW: Shoutout to these Elmhurst sidewalks, for keeping me off the streets!! read more

Please add a build your own option on GrubHub! I don't like to break my concentration and leave during the work day while working from home so I get ALOT of delivery. Currito is my go to quick carry out in the area and I'd be ordering nonstop from here on GH if I could do a build your own!!! read more

One of my coworkers told me about this place and I decided to give this place a try. I got the teriyaki rice bowl with chicken and I was worried because I've had something like this at a different place and it was dry and lacking flavor. When I took my first bite, I knew right away this was going to be different. While eating, I experience every taste bud firing (sweet, spicy, salty) and the amount of crunch in the rice bowl tells me how fresh the ingredients were! I cannot wait to eat there again! Very well done Currito! read more

I love the setup and they have sooo many options, the possibilities are endless! I love creating my own bowl. The sizes are great for the price! read more

Currito is one of my favorite places to get a salad. Think Chipotle style eating where you can pick your own ingredients or you can choose one of their options. Currito gives you a variety of salad (or bowl) options. Lots of healthy choices and a variety that you don't find elsewhere like the curried chickpeas which are one of my favorite choices. Enjoy! read more

Currito is one of my go-to lunch spots. I love their bowls, especially the Summer and the Harvest Farro, and their guac & chips. I use the app to order and I've never had any issues - it's super convenient and the added benefit is eventually you earn enough to get a free meal. read more

Excellent plant based options, nutritional food and tastes great . Great customer service. Clean! Also very affordable. All employees were very friendly and legitimately happy people. It was just so refreshing, great experience. Thank you Currito, we will be back soon read more

Horrible service. They failed to make a smoothie for 30 mins while we ate, so we asked for money back for smoothie and they refused to give me money back . I waited for 30 mins more and manager failed to come out to give me money. After 30 mins of waiting, I did get the 7 bucks back. My sister also failed to get her order fulfilled, and had to get her tofu to go as never came during the meal. We will never come back. read more

I was really excited when I found this place. So my friend and I made a lunch date here. We both ordered the chicken tikka masala plate. I found the curry flavor to be okay and not very flavorful. The best thing was the chickpeas which were flavorful and spicy! I would like to try something else next time. read more

Currito is a Chipotle on steroids. To paraphrase Ralph Waldo Emerson, "If you build a better mousetrap than your neighbor (in this case a better fast food restaurant), the world will make a beaten path to your door." The path is being beaten! There's no need to describe how Chipotle works, unless you've been living under a rock, but Currito has double, or maybe triple, the options. Unlike Chipotle, the options span the globe, not just one region. I had a Tikka wrap. I loved the flavor, and they had a small burrito size, which was perfect for me. My friend had the teriyaki bowl, which he said he would definitely order again. So, with high regards, I recommend you check this place out. read more

See all

Oh my gosh, I have found my new go-to lunch spot. I work in the area so my friends have exhausted almost every casual dining option in the area. So when this came up on our radar and the work cafeteria had nothing good on the menu, we stopped by. We arrived shortly before noon on a Thursday and there was no line. Always something awesome when you're on a time crunch. I opted for a buffalo chicken bowl and my food was quickly made. The menu has preconceived options but it looked like you could customize your own bowl or burrito. Food was absolutely delicious. I love buffalo chicken and the rice bowl made it so much better. My friends also ordered bowls and were equally satisfied. Because I was feeling extra, I ordered the berry smoothie and oh my, that was so delicious and wonderful. Overall, I was definitely impressed with Currito. In fact, today I was complaining to my friend about how they need a location in Chicago. Needless to say, we are already planning to go out for lunch again. read more

Simply put, Currito is like Chipotle...only done better, much better. Similar set-up/biz model, but more variety and better quality food/ingredients. The service was right on par as well, albeit Curitto just opened with maximum staff on hand to ensure the operation was running timely and efficiently. My wife & I tried out this new Elmhurst addition for lunch today and we're both very satisified customers. She had the Tikka bowl and I the Bangkok bowl, with a side of chips & salsa. Oh, and we couldn't resist snagging a large homemade choc chip cookie. Everything was excellent and reasonably priced. Bravo and welcome to Elmhurst! We'll be back soon... read more

I ordered a build your own small whole wheat burrito.  Inside I had tofu, chickpeas, brown rice and black beans.  There are so many different options to put into a burrito or burrito bowl.  I prefer the options at Currito more than Chiptole's.  The burrito was very tasty!  I am still dreaming about the organic tofu.  I also ordered the chips and salsa.  They were pretty good; they remind me of a nacho chip.  I prefer Chiptole's chips more than Currito's chips.  If I could combine Currito's burrito and Chiptole's chips I would be one happy girl! I was very happy with my experience at Currito.  The staff was very friendly and helpful.  There were so many different and healthy options to put into the burrito.  It is both dairy free, vegan and vegetarian friendly!  I cannot wait to eat here again soon. read more

We had a really tasty dinner here! The staff was super friendly and the seating is set up to be convenient for 1-2 people or a small group. I had the superfood salad with grilled steak and I think it was filling and very fair with the price. Plus the dressing was really tasty to go with it! I would absolutely come back to try a couple more options. Everything was very fresh and tasted great together! read more

Currito is awesome! So many vegan ingredients, and it's all so good! Beans, rice, quinoa, hummus, kale, cabbage, all kinds of sauces and other toppings... they have a list of everything that's vegan. So many flavors that you can have a different bowl/burrito every time. Yeah I'm gonna go there right now, see ya pals. read more

I am very happy we have Currito in Elmhurst! The food was soooooo good, I ordered Mediterranean plate and it was delicious. They also have salads that I can't wait to try, for sure I am going there for lunch this Monday! The place itself is brand new and very well designed. The food was ready super fast. I definitely recommend this place! read more

The buffalo chicken burrito is one of the best burritos I've ever had. High quality food and friendly staff! They are not the biggest burritos in the world but filling for their size. read more

Top notch food. Great fast casual experience with fresh ingredients and innovative menu.

I really wanted to like this place and I might give it another shot, but our first experience was disappointing. It started with the music that was so loud we couldn't understand the server who was trying to explain how the menu worked. The second problem was that as vegetarians we wanted to have the tofu but in order to make a good flavor combination, we wanted to know how the tofu was flavored. The servers reply was "it's our signature spice" but couldn't elaborate. Well, that's not helpful. I settled on the tikka and my wife selected her own ingredients. What we didn't expect was that the tofu was really very spicy hot. That's fine for me, and my flavors were good (though the chickpeas and tofu were lukewarm, not hot), but my wife can't tolerate spice like that due to a medical condition and had an upset stomach after one bite. Why didn't the server say the "signature spice" was spicy hot?? When I told them about the issue, the prep cook kindly heated up some plain tofu for her but by then her stomach was in knots. The staff clearly need to be better educated and please, please turn down the blaring music. read more

I redownloaded this app just to give this review. WOW has this place gone downhill! I've been a server in the industry for over four years so I like to give businesses the benefit of the doubt, maybe cut the crabby employee some slack. I'm also a millennial so I'm never high-maintenance or rude to my fellow industry workers. But NOPE. This restaurant was so chaotic, messy, and awful that me and my friend left. My family's been going here ever since it opened but we will no longer be doing that; I've notified everyone I know if they mention going here not to. We were greeted by annoying hollering between the staff in the back and a very rude new worker who begrudgingly approached us without saying hi or anything standard for a restaurant worker. He oddly started cracking up by himself and bent over so we couldn't see him for a few seconds which was just awkward as we tried to place our order. His pal from the kitchen hollered at him to stop and "check out the girls." He was very indifferent and impatient to us; not helpful or professional. Kept mumbling the whole time and couldn't maintain eye contact. Whoever trained him... We nervously finished building our bowls because he was so impatient and was rushing us; we sat down and watched the pile up of a 20 person line as this team couldn't do anything fast or right. A guy who ordered ahead of time waited longer than everyone else who just walked in. The ONLY professional one who was the backbone of the entire establishment was the Hispanic gentleman with glasses who has worked there since the beginning- poor guy picking up everyone's slack. Never coming back, YIKES!!! read more

First time customer. One car in drive-thru and took 20 mins to get 2 shakes. Absolutely no care for service at Geneva, IL location

Great place for lunch, I ordered their tikka bowl with chicken and it satisfied my craving for Indian food in a chipotle style manner. I wish the servings were a bit bigger as I finished mine pretty quickly but aside from that, it's pretty great. read more

Awesome healthy food. Salads, bowls and smoothies are all excellent. Work staff is super friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back!!

Place is shit, I'm sure it's healthy but not very great tasting and the two male servers and both squares, wouldn't let me have the 4 little pieces of steak left in the bowl.. losers. Boring restaurant for stuck up vegans. read more

Went here for lunch. Best food ever. I had a make your own bowl. Great portion size enough for two meals. Lots of options for toppings. It was so good, I wanted to go back the next day for more. Can't wait to return. read more

This place is excellent. Meti bowl with steak. This place reminds me of Chipotle but better, fast casual place with fusion options.

So I have been going back to currito and believe that they got their stuff corrected.. the food quantity is more consistent. They don't have an app but the online ordering is very easy and it remembers my order for the future . The prices are a little high but the ~$9.75 chicken bowel I get usually lasts for two meals read more

I work right across the street from Chipotle, so dine there a lot. I love going to Currito to get something different. The variety is awesome and the quality of food is great. I lile ordering online, because you can take the time to think about what you really want instead of being rushed because the person in back of you is in a hurry to get back to work. Ordering online, I am granted the privilege of stepping to the end of the line to pick up my food as soon as it is ready. Except, you have to wait for anyone to acknowledge that you are actually standing there waiting for your food. Which should not be too hard at 1:30 pm when there was only one other person in the line. However, one person was busy folding towels and another walking back and forth from the kitchen. Finally, a third person came to the counter and handed me my bag. No "thank you for your business," "thanks for coming in," or even "have a nice day." Maybe next time I will take my business right back to Chipotle where they are courteous and appreciative of all the business that comes there way. read more
