This is our families cheat trip and we always stop in when we can. We knew of them for their cupcakes but they saved me when I needed a birthday cake in February and the other "baker" cancelled. I called here and they didn't see an issue of a complicated last minute cake. It was ALL and more that my daughter wanted. Great customer service and a yummy cake! We've gotten several other cakes since then and look forward every time to see what they create. read more

Cupcrazed sells exceptional cupcakes. I've been going here for several years whenever I need a special treat. I've also ordered them for work and they were a huge hit. While cupcakes are the star, they also have cookies and other sweets. And with decadent, fun flavors, it's no wonder Cupcrazed won on Cupcake Wars. When you walk into the store, the display case showcases the daily flavors. They also post the flavors to Facebook daily. Choosing a flavor is like being a kid in a candy shop again. From candy inspired to bacon to classics like carrot cake, there is something for everyone. Don't forget to look it the cold case which contains the cupcakes with cream cheese frosting. On my most recent visit for my birthday (my husband takes me to pick out what I want), I got a chocolate covered cherry, cranberry orange and Three Musketeers. The cherry was my favorite of the bunch. The chocolate frosting was rich and tasted like the Marachino cherry juice was mixed in. And in the center was another sweet Marachino cherry. The chocolate cake was moist. The combination of cherry and chocolate was perfection. All are really rich and sweet. You can't go wrong with any flavor. read more

Valentine's Day cupcakes? Nope... go to Publix or Food Lion before this. Mold on the strawberries (which could have easily been noticed by the server if she had taken any care at all), cupcakes are a day old, stale and dry - they fell to crumbs while being eaten. This is the opposite of my last review of this establishment several years ago. read more

The cupcakes were delicious and the woman who served us was very nice. I look forward to going back soon!

Back home in CT we had an amazing cupcake place so moving down here we wanted to find another gem. I stopped here with my children this week for the first time. The place is very cute! The displays had many options of cupcakes. The woman helping us says they were running a special of a dozen for $25. We picked our dozen pretty quick with the delicious choices. A couple cupcakes seemed a little dry when we got home to try, but I overall they were great! Will definitely go back and I think we found our new cupcake place! read more

This location almost never has any cheesecakes. I have visited this location 3 times recently early and mid day, no later than 12:30 and never any cheesecakes. I was told one day they would be ready by 2pm, returned at 3pm and no cheesecakes. read more

This place is adorable. The décor is very welcoming and though it's not a large place, they fit a decent amount of seating inside. It's a great place to sit with a friend and have some yummy treats but I would get milk or water because the coffee is just average. My daughter's went over to Starbucks grabbed drinks and brought them over. The first time we came, six months ago, the cupcakes were to die for! I had the salted caramel bacon, filled with bacon and had the perfect balance of salty and sweet. My daughter had the Reese's which was moist and just plain luscious. We returned again earlier this year but they were closed through the New Year and finally we made it back this week for $2.00 Tuesday. We ordered a cocoa pebbles, Reese's, 2 S'mores Cupcakes and a cake pop. We sat down to eat them and lo and behold, the magic was gone. The Cocoa Pebbles one was dry inside and the cereal on top was so stale, The Reese's was just okay and lacked filling and seemed to be a tad bit overcooked and the S'mores, while rich, was kind of meh! We got a box to go and left without even finishing them. We were all underwhelmed by our last visit and my daughter even said that she was bummed she'd spent 2 bucks on it. On the other hand, she thoroughly enjoyed the cake pop. Now, don't get me wrong, they were good cupcakes but I was comparing them to my initial visit and had even, at that point, put them up there with Sprinkles in NY. No joke! I guess I just expected that same rich, moist, perfectly balanced cupcake and I just didn't get it this time. We gave the leftovers to hubby and he thought they were good but a little heavy on the frosting and said that it seemed too thick/dense for the cupcake. I am still a fan and will certainly return to try some of the other flavors but maybe not on Tuesday. I'll pay regular price like I did on my first visit but I would guess they are still making them fresh on Tuesdays, right? We'll see. and maybe it will be just as amazing as the first time. This place is lovely, the flavor selection is great and the people who work there are kind, efficient and patient as people mull over their choices. I just hope that the person who baked those cupcakes 6 months ago is back in the kitchen, otherwise my cupcake Nirvana search will continue. That is all! read more

Oh this day of thanks, I am thankful for many things - cupcakes included. However, I get pretty ornery when I nosh on a sub par cupcake. I am delighted to report that Cupcrazed did not disappoint in the least. I've been waiting for this Fort Mill cupcakery to open for months - and, I don't even live close to Fort Mill. Yup, I drove the distance to try some of Cupcrazed's delectable cup o cakes and here's the dish... The space: So freakin' cute. Seriously a ten on the precious scale. You'll see kitschy mix & match vintage dishes, reclaimed and painted furniture and a general adorableness throughout. Plus, free Wi-Fi! The staff: Super kind, funny & helpful. They give great suggestions and really ensure that you enjoy your cupcake & time at Cupcrazed. The staff is also super upfront and apologetic (during the first few days of business) as they work out the cupcake supply & demand kinks. A+ for honesty and service. The cupcakes: Best cupcakes around - and that includes Charlotte. No jok - Heather & the folks at Cupcrazed crank out some amazing flavors like Margarita, Reese's Peanut Butter, Sweet Potato, Chocolate Stout and the traditional chocolate/vanilla/sprinkled combos. There are so many tasty options, your head just might blow off. I kept my head securely screwed on and snarfed down a Reese's Peanut Butter cupcake (with chocolate ganache frosting) in about 30 seconds flat. Absolutely divine. The peanut butter cake portion was flavorful and well made. From my limited cooking experience, peanut butter cookies/cupcakes/etc. can be dry but this cup 'o cake was not. It wasn't oozing moisture but it was delightful nonetheless. And the frosting was perfection - sweet but not saccarine-y and the perfect amount to compliment the cupcake. The price: $2.50 each for standard cupcakes (vanilla, chocolate, and a few other flavors), $2.75 each for "crazy cupcakes" (Reese's, Margarita, etc.). And for the cupcake hoarders (or party people), you can nab 6 for $15 or a dozen for $30. This is pretty standard cupcake pricing IMO, especially for super creative and delicious flavors that Cupcrazed offers. So, part of me is really happy I don't live too close to Cupcrazed because I would probably be here "treating" myself every day. In the meantime, I'll just hope that work or errands take me down to Fort Mill more often so I can stock up on these incredible cupcakes! read more

Fantastic gluten free cupcakes. Moist, not dry. Great flavors. Had a couple of macarons. Macarons are my favorite treat of all time. I try macarons everywhere I go and am a bit of a Mac snob. The nice lady behind the counter was very helpful, she informed me that technically the macarons are not labeled gluten free. She pointed out which one may have gluten (cake batter or lime, she wasn't sure which one was there and knew cake batter had cake batter in it‍) I got the chocolate strawberry and espresso ones I live 2 hrs away and may consider driving here for a dozen or so of the espresso occasionally. They were perfect. read more

Wow! I'll say it backwards, WOW! This is a cool neighborhood place that is worth the drive if you don't live there. The decor is cool, kids will love hanging out and the adults too. The cupcakes arre delicious! My favorite so far is the Sweet Potato cupcake. Moist, with a marshmellow sweetness, crushed pecans on top. The kids loved the vanilla chocolate and M&M's cupcakes too. Get a dozen or half dozen, its the best value. read more

I had a chance to re-visit Cupcrazed while home recently, and I'm both glad and angry that I did - glad because the treats were delicious and angry because they are dangerously addicting :) I think I may be more of a fan of their cookie cups than the cupcakes. The s'more cookie cup was to die for. Staff is wonderful and the place itself is adorable. One downside is the weekend hours are limited - closed on Sundays and shortened on Saturdays. Disappointing, but not the end of the world. The treats are so good that it's worth the weekday trip. read more

Cupcrazed Cakery is just ok. One weekend the family and I decided to take a trip out to Cupcrazed, especially since they won Cupcake Wars a few years back. They are located in Baxter Village, which in itself the Village has a nice hometown, but shopping feel to it at the same time. It is almost set up as if you were on vacation somewhere and just checking out the local stores in close proximity. Nice touch! Ok, now onto the cupcakes, we got a total of 5 different ones(Red Velvet, Blue Raspberry, Birthday Cake, Double Chocolate and White Chocolate Mocha Frappuccino). They were out of all the other flavors they had listed, maybe because we got there at around 5pm on a Saturday. The best one was the White Chocolate Frappuccino, it had a bold and distinct coffee flavor but not overpowering. It was awesome...I probably could have eaten a couple more of those. The others were good but not outstanding, they tasted like average cupcakes. The cupcakes didn't seem stale but didn't seem like they were baked that day either. I don't know if it had anything to do with them being in the refrigerator or not but they weren't as moist and fluffy as I had expected them to be. The decor/setup inside is a little crammed. We were practically sitting on top of the garbage can. Ok that's stretching it some but we were very close to it and the cooler to grab a beverage if you wanted it. Every time someone came to get a drink we had to move so that they can open the door. They were having a special that Saturday so all cupcakes were $2. Hey, it's always a nice surprise to pay less then what you were expecting. It was a nice treat for the evening and maybe I will go again and try some other flavors but I am not going to purposely go out of my way to make a trip there. read more

We came to Cupcrazed for the first time after lunch today! I have been wanting to come here ever since I found out they won Cupcake Wars (kudos!). FINALLY! We walked in and were pleasantly greeted by a couple of staff members. We were also happy to find that it was $2 cupcake Tuesdays! Normally, (chocolate, vanilla, and red velvet are $2.75 and the other crazy flavors are $3). SCORE. We ended up purchasing a red velvet cupcake and a chocolate chip cookie for under $4. What a deal. My boyfriend is not a fan of sweets so we were happy to find that the frosting was not too sweet, it was just perfect. It also did not have an artificial texture like the store bought red velvet or the weirdly strong cream cheese after taste like some other cupcakery frostings ( Crave's is a bit much). It could have used a better garnish, but still a very good cupcake. The cookie was very chewy, just like I like em. We will be back for sure, yay for $2 Tuesdays! read more

We always seek out the local Sweet shops when we travel. Cupcrazed is, without a doubt, our No. 1 cupcake shop anywhere. The flavor combinations are always so creative and yet sensible. Cupcrazed has set the bar for my expectations of a cupcake. I'm not joking when I say that I think this was the best cupcake I've ever had. Start sending me your challengers and I would love to do some taste testing ;) A friend of mine had posted a pic on instagram and I clicked on over to Cupcrazed's Instagram and considered getting in the car immediately. Somehow I managed to wait a couple of weeks before finally making it to them. I'm a sucker for Salted Caramel so that stole my heart. My Mom's favorite candy bar is Snickers so she had to opt for that one. We both loved everything about the frosting, cake and overall flavor. Luckily, we're not in Baxter Village often so this will stay an every once in a while treat. Highly recommend giving it a try. * Doesn't hurt that they were featured on the Food Network for Cupcake Wars! read more

I heard about these somewhere, I wish I could remember where, because it was a great referral. I ordered a dozen before Christmas and I ordered a dozen after Christmas to use for Bunco. They are outstanding. They have all kinds of flavors from salted caramel, to milk chocolate, dark chocolate, white chocolate, and once with other flavors too. There was a little snag with the website because I live many hours from Fort Mill so they needed to be shipped. The first time worked out fine I just emailed them after I paid for the hot chocolate bombs and they arrived promptly. The second time it was even more challenging, but still worked out but I ended up paying $14 for shipping which was a bit steep but really only about a dollar and some change extra each. Since there's not really anywhere here in Wilmington North Carolina to buy this outstanding product it was worth the money. I think it's a message of how great the rest of their things must be as well. But if you've never tried a hot chocolate bomb, I'd tell you to try these guys version, they are good. read more

Place was very cute and very affordable. I personally felt the icing was to sweet and took away from the flavor, but I am probably alone in that respect. The place had a constant stream of customers just buying cupcakes. My big thing that gave me pause was the one guy who waited on customers just didn't seem to enjoy being there. Sullen and just not friendly, which surprised me for that area. He could have just been having an off day, but you know that vibe you get off people? Yeah. Selection wise, they had a ton of variety, including a couple 21+ options. They also had cookies and a couple vegan options. A great place to take a break and get a sweet treat. read more

Saw this shop while turning around in Baxter and decided to try it out. Grabbed half a dozen to take him to the kids. The only complaint was that the "Birthday Cake" flavor is way too sweet, but that is a preference issue anyways. My wife and I loved the chocolate based flavors and the Red Velvet was gone immediately. Will head back to try more! read more

These are some of the worst cupcakes I have had as they were extremely dry, not very moist cupcakes at all. Not sure if it was because it was the end of the day or if this is how they really are. I originally purchased a reeses cupcake, but I wanted a red velvet, and I thought they were out. I asked the worker if red velvet typically go quickly. She said they still had them and they were to my right. I was shocked that they were red velvet, as they did not appear to me to be red velvet, but I figured I'd give it a shot since red velvet is my favorite! The red velvet appeared no differently than it did in the store, not very red except for the center, actually appeared more like a brown color on the outside rims. This might mean it is overcooked? Or reason for the dryness? I don't know, either way, it was probably the worst red velvet cake/cupcake/cookie I have had because of the overall taste and dryness. I like a pretty cream cheesy icing when it comes to red velvet as well, and this icing just didn't taste that way. Very creamy and good, but not real cream cheesy. I did not come close to finishing this cupcake. I was looking forward to the reeses cupcake as that is my favorite candy! The reeses cupcake is just an overwhelming chocolate cupcake, with a tiny tiny bit of chocolate in between and a mini reeses on top. If you are a chocolate lover, this is for you. The reeses cup chocolate and peanut butter ratio just didn't match this chocolate and peanut butter cupcake ratio. Maybe think about having chocolate cupcake, peanut butter icing, top with a chocolate. This cupcake was also unfortunately very dry so I did not finish it as well. This shop looks like it has many interesting flavors and I would be interested in trying others, but if they fail with red velvet, I just can't see myself going back. :( read more

As far as flavors Cupcrazed it killing it hands down. Far as the actual execution the cupcakes always taste like the flavor howeverrrrrrrr for my taste they are a bit on the dry side. I prefer my cupcakes moist & these cupcakes are a lot of things but moist is not one of them. I will say the Ironic part is that the other items that they sale taste better than the cupcakes for example the cookies & cheesecake are amazing but the cupcakes I can definitely do without. read more

I HAD to come to this place. Being my birthday and all I NEEDED a cupcake to go with the ice cream I had in my freezer. There is a different selection of cupcakes every day. I think the pastry chef is like a Mad Scientist which I'm digging. I mean I like the regular red velvet and my fave yellow cake with chocolate icing (which were both great btw) I have to say at first I thought the Chicken and Waffles Cupcake would be a little weird. But that joint was sooooo good. I mean it literally tasted like I was eating Chicken and Waffles. No... forreal. Like Roscoes Chicken and Waffles... the one in the hood. haha. I just might consider ordering a selection of some cupcakes for my daughters birthday party. I got a while to decide. If anything maybe I'll get my baby a special cupcake for her day. read more

These are good cupcakes, and I truly mean oh so good! The flavors are just great. Their frosting isn't super sugary sweet yet it is the perfect ratio to cake. The cupcakes themselves are moist and hold up well for the frosting and any other fun toppings that may be added. They have a rotating menu as well as everyday flavors, like the standard ones- chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, red velvet, etc. I have yet to try a cupcake from here that I didn't like! Be sure to try their cake pops and cookies as well. They're just as delicious, but I am all about the cupcakes! read more

So I've been here twice now. Those two visits have yielded a total of four different cupcakes. I'm pleased to say that three of the four were awesome. The first two I tried was a chocolate kiss cupcake (yellow cake with chocolate icing, topped with a hershey's kiss). Even a day later, this was a tasty morsel. The other cupcake was a chocolate cupcake with a vanilla (?) buttercream icing. The cake was good, but the butter in the icing was a little too strong for my liking. The second trip, I grabbed a carrot cake and a Grand Marnier cupcake. The carrot cake was moist and the cream cheese icing was not too overpowering. The GM was the best of the four. I took the helpful hint and microwaved it for a few seconds and it was was fantastic. Chocolatey with just the right amount of orange flavor. Good good stuff. If you're looking for the best selection, stop by early in the day. Coming after work usually yields only three or four options. If you call or shoot them a tweet, they can let you know what flavors are available that day and they're more than willing to pull some aside for you. The interior of the bakery is bright coffeehouse chic, complete with free wifi and comfy seating. I'll be back! read more

After lunch, we couldn't help ourselves, and had to go to Cupcrazed Cakery in Baxter Village. They were on one of my favorite shows from the Foodnetwork, Cupcake Wars, and they won. The shop was so cute. If I were to ever open a bakery; I'd definitely do something like this. We chose the coconut macaroon cupcake, gluten free creme brûlée and vanilla. We also tried a chocolate cake pop and a peanut butter cookie cup filled with chocolate fudge ganache. It was a sugary afternoon but definitely worth it. Later that night, weI tried the coconut macaroon cupcake and holy moly! The frosting, the cake, the coconut, the filling, all of it was amazing! It didn't last long. We've also had their triple salted caramel cupcake which was good but a BIT too salty. The key lime pie was perfect and their frosting has the best consistency and sweetness. This has been one of my favorite cupcakes joints for a while. Especially when I get a sweet tooth! The best cupcake I have ever had came from here, "The Granny Smith", but they haven't made it in months. The only reason I gave them 4 stars & not 5 is because my wife had their Red Velvet the other day and it was dry with very little flavor. However, we both loved the Lemon Blueberry. I love that most of their cupcakes have a pleasant sweet surprise in the cake part as well! They are quite pricey, but you can catch a little break when they do their $2 Tuesdays. Tried their Sweet Tea, Hummingbird, and Red Velvet mini-cupcakes last night at the Brewer's Ball to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis foundation. Sadly, the cupcakes were a bit dry, but I am sure they had to bake in advance to be sure they would have enough for the event. (And as it turns out they did donate over 600 cupcakes to the event - kudos for supporting such a great cause! And, I do need to point out that, I have sampled some of their cupcakes before at another event & those were delicious and not at all dry! I think it was a mexican chocolate w/ a little bit of peppery kick -yummo! Of the cakes I tried last night, the Red Velvet was the worst - it was really dry and tasteless. The Sweet Tea was slightly dry but had excellent flavor. The Hummingbird was the best of the night - it definitely was the most flavorful and moist of those that I tried.
