I've always loved Nothing Bundt Cakes. I've had a chance to taste their product at many different events/celebrations but never went to an actual location myself. I wanted to get out with my mini me and get something sweet to go. Since NBC cakes was close enough,I went with it. Initially I tried ordering curbside online because ya know...covid. However, I wasn't able to specify curbside. I gave the Tega Cay location a call and spoke with CiCi/Cee Cee (unsure of the correct spelling). She was so pleasant. I explained what I wanted to do and also that I had a B1G1 coupon. While that particular location wasn't "really" doing curbside, she allowed me to place my order with her, honored my coupon (and also told me what to do next time I have one and want to order online) and also said she would accommodate my son and I by bringing the order outside when we got there. Sure enough easy as a piece of pie. I showed up 30-45 minutes later gave me a call and she came out with our order. I also saw how busy they were from out and was extremely thankful for her gesture. I'm not sure how they manage to cram so much tasty goodness into such a small Bundt cake, but they always succeed. I have a problem and I'm admitting it. If I am in Tega Cay I have to swing by and pickup a bundt. Yes it's that serious. I have visited several locations here in Charlotte and surrounding and the bundts are consistently great everywhere. Some of my favorite flavors include lemon, raspberry, strawberry, and last but not least the confetti. Seasonality determines the availability of certain flavors but moreover they are all delicious. I had my first but several years ago and have been loyal ever since. There is plenty of parking in the shopping center and the staff has always been the nicest. There is a loyalty club that leads to free bundts and not to mention a free bundtlet for my birthday. read more

I ordered the special graduation cake on line and paid $55 for it. For the bow on top you could pick 2 colors from their list, which I did, a red and a specific Columbia blue for the school colors. When I picked it up the bow was Columbia blue only, no red. I told the employee it was supposed to be two colors, he checked the order, apologized and said they could remake the bow if I wanted to wait. After waiting 20 minutes he brought the cake out with a bow which was red and a totally different dark navy blue. When I expressed shock that they had changed to a different blue he just turned around and walked out of the room. I took my cake with the ugly bow and left. I do like Nothing Bundt Cakes, I really do, and still stand by my 5 star review for the Huntersville location. These are my issues with this location and why I dropped it down to a 3... 1. So apparently NBC listened to me and brought us peppermint chocolate bundt cakes in December of 2016. This is by far my favorite flavor! I love chocolate mint and wish they would keep it year round. Well because I love it so much, I end up going to NBC multiple times in December. Well in 2016, this location ran out early of the peppermint bundlets. I left with nothing and went to the Huntersville location instead as they still had it. Last year, again, I go about a week before the month ends, they were out and already starting to serve the January flavor - turtle. Later on in the week, we happened to be nearby the one in Marvin. I called them, and they still had the peppermint in stock, the last day of the month. Not sure why Tega Cay can't order/make enough of the peppermint, I mean it's not like they are off by a day, it has been by a week(+) early. 2. This location doesn't seem to ice their bundlets as well as other locations - specifically Huntersville. I was originally introduced to NBC in Huntersville as they were the first one in the Charlotte area. I have to say, I love icing!! I'm the one that wants the corner piece! When I go to Huntersville, the icing lines down the bundlets are nice and plump! Here, they just seem to be flat down the side. Again, I just love icing, so I prefer how it used to be done. They were good here when they first opened! 3. I used to come here often, like 1+ or more a month! Now, not so much, probably once a quarter. My waistline probably thanks me. I used to see in the mail, sometimes it was directly from them to my direct address, sometimes it was in the envelope full of coupons, and then other times it was in the magazine full of coupons for a buy one get one bundlet. They used to come in once a month to every other month, and it was specific to this location (or the one in Charlotte/Marvin since these 3 have the same owner). I guess now that they have been opened for a couple years and have a client base, they no longer feel the need to send out these coupons or be a part of these magazines. In turn, that just makes me go less. Customers love a good deal! 4. Lastly, service can be a hit or miss at this location. Sometimes the employees are happy and then other times seem to be just going through the process. Also, sometimes they don't have enough - like only one person (at least only one showing face up front). Then another time they have too much. I went in mother's day weekend, which I get will be a very busy time, but they had two people checking out and three people in front of the counter. When I walked in, the question I was asked was are you here for an order? No. Okay, then that lady is done talking to me starts talking to the next customer walking in asking again in for an order to that person. I feel like it would have been better to ask the usual what brings you in and the customer will let you know if they are in for an order or not. But then as I start to tell the girl behind the counter what I wanted, the original lady comes back to me and asks what I was in for and what they could get for me. I informed her I was just telling the girl behind the counter and she then realized oh okay, they are helping you. It was just too much, the back and forth and who am I supposed to be talking to? Note to self, just don't come around special days. On a side note, I e-mailed them from my work one time last year about ordering a cake for a company party and never received a response. 5. They got rid of one of my favorite flavors. This is not the fault of this location, as it is with all NBC's, but very disappointing that Cinnamon is no longer an option. I guess they replaced it to have confetti year round, which does nothing for me. I get it since it is so popular, but cinnamon and cream cheese goes hand and hand, one of the best there was. While it is similar to the pecan one, I don't like nuts in cakes. I still really like NBC and will continue to come here for the occasional sweet bundlets, but I just wish I could implant the Huntersville location here. The different ownership of the franchises obviously speaks to how things are done. read more

Omg how amazing is this. So fresh and in its own holder. When I first moved to Fort Mill I stopped at another establishment next door to this shop for an early breakfast and took note that I really wanted to check Nothing Bundt cakes out one of these days, and today was that day. I bought some for the crew I'm my apartment complex office and then one for myself. It was exactly what I had hoped for and then some. I really don't like overly sweet desserts and this was spot on. I had the pecan praline and even the icing was just the right touch of sweetness. Awesome not send me on a sugar rush and crash and Fresh is ABSOLUTELY what I hoped for. Not dried out for day taste. It's a good thing the cake was delicious because I was very disappointed with the service. For starters, I took the time to try and place the order online, thought all of the options to customize the cake were nice. It turned out to be wasted time as when I tried to checkout my card came back with an error, nothing wrong with the card but I tried a different one and still no success. At this point, I knew there was something wrong with their website and would need to call, oh the drag! So I called and already knew what I wanted, explained my wants in detail. I wanted the custom message to say "Happy 25th birthday Maricela!" Spelled out the name a few times to make sure it was correct. I let her know I needed five balloons, two white, two lavender and I mentioned how I had seen a pinkish color online but didn't remember the name of it, described it as a "rose gold." Well, I just got plain gold which threw off the color scheme. I'll take the blame for this as I wasn't specific with the name of the color, but why have all these customization options online and when I call no one knows what I am talking about since I wasn't even offered balloons or a custom message, I had to ask about it. Two days later I sent my bf to get the cake, he didn't know I ordered balloons so he didn't think anything of it when he didn't receive them! We were short on time that morning so the fact he had to go back to get the balloons was very inconvenient. But more than inconvenient it was upsetting how the balloons were paid for but not delivered at the time of pickup. If you are going to require payment in advance, you have to make sure people get what they ordered in one trip. Specially something like a cake / balloon order, I paid for the balloons because I thought it would be one less thing to worry about on the day of the birthday party, turned out to be a road bump instead. It was finally time to cut the cake and what do I find? Another surprise! My custom message was nowhere to be found! Why did I waste my time spelling things out if no one cares? I would've noticed all of these things and maybe gotten it fixed had I been the one to pick up the order. Truth be told, a reputable business will make sure an order is correct regardless of who picks it up, specially if it is already paid for. The fact that there are even pick up times is pretty absurd as my balloons were not even thought of when my bf showed up at the scheduled pickup time. The actual cake? It was good which is why three stars. The frosting was to die for and everyone loved it! Would I shop here again? I've read the reviews and I've heard the stories but Nothing Bundt Cakes is worth all the hype and adulation they receive. I was at a gathering of friends two weeks ago and someone brought some bundtinis, which are basically a smaller version of a bundt cake that looks like a cupcake. I tried one and it was heaven in the palm of my hands, I ate another and another and before you know it, I had had 5 bundtinis in 20 minutes. Yes, I was ashamed of myself. They were so moist and delicious and the buttercream is crazy good. I just couldn't believe that I was addicted to these little cupcakes just like that. I have definitely tried other places cupcake places in the Fort Mill area, so my review is definitely not biased. I ask the host where she got them from, and she said Nothing Bundt Cakes...Nothing Bundt cakes? Next, I come to Yelp and read the reviews, nothing but glowing reviews. So, I take a trip to Nothing Bundt Cakes in Tega Cay and it's a quaint shop that is well laid out and everything is displayed nicely. They have everything you can imagine from Special order cakes, regular bundt cakes, accessories and so on. They also deliver but there is a delivery charge. The customer service is the best I've experienced from any cupcake place in the Tega Cay/Fort Mill area. Some of you may be wondering is this place better than a competitor in Baxter village and my answer is YES, hands down. Yummy! So glad this location is opening. I've tried their stuff before but at different locations. A worker of theirs dropped off their 12 mini bunditinis. They are delicious and very moist.
