Very deceptive and dishonest business practices! I used the drive up window and they tell me that they refuse to take cash. The next day after my credit card is processed, I find out that they automatically built in a 15% tip! This is all wrong. Brand new place just opened a few days ago. First try very good I love the spicy food that they have here. Quality is decent and you can tell that they really try to give you a good meal. They do have non spicy food if that is your thing. They have a lot of stuff that's not on the menu so ask. I'm not exactly sure what I got some kind of Korean name LOL. I think it's fantastic Cupbop is expanding so quickly, but they need to not lose site of their quality and consistency throughout the expansion. I went to the Draper drive-thru yesterday, and had to wait almost 10 mins for the girl to acknowledge I was there. I ordered two bowls, a hot bop L6 and a combo L7. Neither of them had pork like they should have, or enough sauce, and the sauce they did have was slopped all over the place, including down both bowls. The lack of sauce obviously affected the taste, and ordering a certain level of spice becomes a mute point when employees have not been trained properly. The food is definitely flavorful. My usual go-to is a combo, and the spice level I get it's 8. I would get a 10 (I can handle it), but the problem is consistency. Their levels are never consistent. So a 10 today would be closer to a 13 the next time, or an 8. I give them a 2 star also because they are inconsistent, and lately mostly on the shiesty side. The last time, I got literally 2 pieces of beef, about 5 pieces of chicken, and some shreds of pork. This is not hot this establishment started. Very good food for traditionally being a food truck and being fast food. The spice scale is neat and they offer a variety of "Bops", but enough to keep the menu simple. My favorite is the "B-Bop" The staff is always enthusiastic and sometimes throw in a few potstickers for free. Cupbop never disappoints! My fiancé and I eat here at least once, maybe twice, a week. Tonight after we had ordered our food, I used a lid to shake my bowl to mix everything together when the lid popped off and everything came flying out. I am not very creative when it comes to my order at this place because all I have is lettuce, noodles, pork and then their secret 5.5 spice level sauce mixture. Copbop just catered lunch at the office. The food is good, and I can see why my wife kept urging me to try it. I tried the pork, chicken, and beef and I believe the pork is my favorite so far. 5/5!! Here's why: I have been to many of the cupbop food trucks, I have been to their Daybreak & Draper locations. The Draper store is by far my absolute favorite! They are always extremely positive/polite/courteous & they care about my order, they have no issues with my special requests like most other places do & they always get it 100% right! If they were to mess up or I have an issue, they don't question me, this is not an investigation or a pointing fingers game!! They just simply take it back and fix it with a smile included! It's good to know they care about each and every customer & they treat them as well as they have me every single time I visit!! I should have wrote this review when they first opened up over here in Draper however, about a year ago.. My Wife & I & our children were here to eat and our car battery died, all I did was ask if anybody in the store had jumper cables since mine were at home in my truck.. One of the employees came out and helped us jump start our car! This same employee played rock, paper scissors with me in the drive thru one time for a chance to get my mandoo (potstickers) on him! I really don't get what the big deal is with this place. I've been here twice and each time ordered something different: first time the two meat bowl and the second time was the chicken bowl. Each one as disappointing as the other. Nothing more than an over priced bowl, or cup, of bland food consisting of rice (undercooked), noodles, lettuce, tons of sugary sauce, and the meat chopped into tiny unidentifiable pieces. Both dishes tasted identical even though there were two different meats used. I've had the real deal and this place doesn't even come close to Korean BBQ, it's obvious that their meat is not marinated and definitely not cooked in the sauce and what's up with the tiny pieces...looks like cat food. The meat isn't the best and I don't understand why people are always excited about this place. This was my second time eating at Cupbop in about a year, but it sure does fulfill your craving when you want some food with rice! If Panda Express or McDonalds would make Korean style food, it would be like what Cupbob is serving. The food is put together real quick and tastes rather dull. Ingredients are not really fresh and the meat they use is very average. You basically get a thick layer of rice in a bowl, some veggies and then some meat. On top of their dishes they add a heavy sauce that adds flavor and you can choose a spicy level. It seems both the meats and sauces have a lot of sugar added as everything tastes rather sweet. This is kind of Korean food but not really. If you are looking for a quick bite though it can be worth a try. Customer service is really great. read more
