This place is awful. We spent $40 on 4 items, that were all basically the same, flavorless mish-mash of luke-warm rice, iceberg lettuce, and noodles. I can't even think of anything sarcastic or witty to say about this straight-up godawful "restaurant". Goddamn...we just spent $40 to get sick to our stomachs. I could've just paid $10 to Taco Bell for this same feeling. read more

Poor imitation of Korean food. Not quite sure what the white sauce is, but seems either cream or mayonnaise based. Also, music is way to LOUD. AND WHAT IS WITH ALL THE SHOUTING??!?!! It's a gimmick that gets old after 1.5 seconds, and you're exposed to it while you're eating as other customers orders. I left with a mild headache. Just so that you can hear me:AVOID THIS PLACE!! read more

This is a must stop WHILE in SLC!!!! It's like heaven on earth! The ugly bop, bee-bop & pot stickers are incredible. This location has the best outside view. Careful on the heat, I stick with 4 or 5. A 7 will have your sweating & your nose running! read more

Cupbop - Love me some ugly bop! - Korean Near Me - Draper, Utah

I was really hesitant when it came to going here because all the bad reviews. I'm not sure where those bad reviewers ate but my experience WAS AWESOME! They were fast, friendly and the price was appropriate. Food was great! I had the combo with a side order of potstickers with a 7 on the spicy scale. It was the perfect blend of spice and flavor. Keep up the good work! read more

the draper cupbop is the best staff ever. also make the best food absolute pimps love them

This place is basically the McDonalds of fake Korean food. I've literally gotten a cup from them that was mostly water!! I'm really not sure where they got such a big fan base in Utah but I find a sit down Korean restaurant will beat this business 10 out of 10 times. *Edit* An owner replied to this review and has since deleted it. They basiCally said "Sorry you didn't understand the concept of the food..." I understand this a Korean/American fusion restaurant, but I still find the fact that two cups I have gotten from this company have been completely different, despite ordering the same thing, and one was literally mostly water. Pretending like I don't understand the concept is insulting. read more

I love cupbop but I was super concerned when I went through the drive thru last night. The gentleman making my food did not have food handlers gloves on (eww) and he wiped under his nose a couple times WHILE preparing our food (WITH HIS BARE HANDS, mind you) and between making my bowl and my husbands bowl he picked up a few pieces of food that had fallen on the counter and put them in his mouth. Didn't wash his hands in between or anything. It was very disturbing and I'm not sure I will go back to this location if the employees don't start wearing gloves and washing their hands!!! read more

This place is good if you don't go through the drive thru. It seems that when you are face to face when they make your food, they do a great job. I just got 2 Bbops with extra meat and extra sauce. Got home and there was little sauce on them.. too far to drive all the way back over to do anything about it. Not the first time this has happened. I've noticed that there is no consistency with the food. Some days they get it right and more often, they disappoint. Either go in, or go to another location. read more

An interesting concept. If you love a big bowl of noodles then this is the place for you! Apparently this was a food truck before it was a store front, and it definitely has that portable from a truck feel. Pick your meat and a few other toppings and they will pile it on top of rice or rice noodles. I do loves me some rice noodles, but like with most places like this I usually find myself wanting more of the other stuff (meat and veggies) and less of the carb fillers. If I had any complaints it would be that we weren't asked if we wanted the sweet style sauce before they layered it on top. Because of this, the bowl went from savory to way sweet in a moment. That being said, all the staff were super friendly and helpful. We haven't made it back yet, but I would definitely be interested in giving it another try! read more

Really bad experience tonight at the Draper location drive thru. Waited 40 minutes in the drive thru line and would have left, except I was blocked in. Watched car after car leave. And after waiting so long, mandoo was ice cold and another order did not have noodles, only rice and meats. Terrible experience! read more

Food is good not great. The music is way too loud. Apparently I need to keep writing to make this a review.

LOVE THIS PLACE.. The Staff is amazing! We went in today and Emily, Jerome, Alyssa and Charice we Awesome!!! The food is fresh and delicious. Definitely recommend! read more

Long awaited cupbop static shop north of the point! What can I say? Number 7 sauce cannot be resisted, had to stop in and give it a try though I've been a little out of the loop from the trucks lately. It's cupbop, so honestly, you either love it or you hate it. Their recipes are fabulous and made with care and passion. The only thing that I think is lacking about their brand is the focus on employee happiness. The passionate people make the soul of cupbop the thing of joy that it is. They are the critical ingredient for this recipe of success. One major addition here versus truck menu is the shake bop, a bibimbap style veggie and rice variant which is more traditional. Also setting this new location apart - the drive thru, and a nice beverage machine (coca cola freestyle) like you find in many great establishments around these parts. Location is right by 123 freeway junction but they are in the back corner of the lot, with only one narrow path in and out from the lot's main entrance, making the parking and drive thru approach quite awkward. I can imagine the potential jam whenever a drive thru line accumulates. Finally thank you Shannon for being an awesome chef and front manager. You rock! read more

Solid joint. Great comfort food, great lunch spot. You have the option to spice your cup as much as you want, which is great. The spicy mayo stuff (oh man, I wish I remembered the name) is tasty. My only complaint is the meat quantities. It just feels more noodle heavy than I want it to be. But next time I go, I'm going to order extra meat. It's pretty darn good (no gristly parts). read more

Who knew something so simple could taste so good. Rice, noodles, lettuce, meat, sauce so yummy. Have eaten from the food trucks several times, but this was my first time at the store. Typically I eat the chicken or beef, today I tried the pork. I think it was my favorite. Good flavor. I am a whimp when it comes to spicy food. I like some kick, but not too much. I ordered mine a four on the spicy level and that was about right for me. The combination of flavors was delightful. The service was quick and friendly. Extra bonus: Leave a tip and they give you extra pot stickers. Also, don't expect Korean food, because it's not. read more

This place is terrible Cupbop is my favorite place to go, but one of the workers didn't even acknowledge we were there for like 5 minutes, and was an absolute a-hole, place just looks gross, you can tell they don't clean the place, one of the workers had a whole computer setup, and was half asleep right next to us. also our food was not good, I've had cupbop hundreds of times this was the worst one by far. barely any rice, no cabbage, meat had been sitting out for a while, not very good overall. read more

I'm not sure why this was my first Cupbop experience because I've had Kotako Truck (same owners) and am Korean, plus I have a major affinity for food trucks. I actually checked on Instagram to see if they'd be near my home and discovered they have a storefront that's pretty close, so I swung on by. I was super pleased they have a drive thru because I was feeling especially lazy, and I ordered the B Bop. The menu board is very clear and you know exactly what you're getting, and the service was friendly and fast. I asked about the spice level of the sauces, and I decided on 5 (scale from 1-10). Unfortunately, on my way home, I realized I didn't get my card back, called to confirm it was still there, and drove back. That was kind of an inconvenience, but they handled it really well. I decided to go inside to grab it, and I was greeted several times by different employees and told I'd be helped ASAP - I find that sort of service is seriously lacking in most teen/college student run businesses and was happy to be acknowledged. The young woman running the drive thru recognized me right away, grabbed my card, and even gave me a free order of their Mandoo (potstickers), which I thought was appropriate and a good sign of business. Cupbop is definitely aimed at a specific demographic, and it's the sort of place where they do a lot of enthusiastic yelling. When I was younger, I was all about that life, but as I get older, I feel less positively about it. But that's easy to avoid - I can just hit the drive thru instead and eat at home. Is the food super authentic? No, but I'm pretty positive they'd be the first to tell you that, and I'm quite sure that isn't their aim anyhow. The B Bop is bulgogi beef, rice, japchae (glass noodles), and lettuce. The portion size is great, the beef is tasty, the noodles are probably my favorite part, and to be honest, the iceberg works pretty well (traditional in restaurant bulgogi is served with lettuce to eat like a wrap). Spice level 5 is great for me because I am kind of a wuss but still enjoy some heat, but I could probably eat level 6 and survive. The Mandoo is REALLY tasty - very crispy, not greasy at all, and great flavor. I don't think anything is bland or underseasoned. I'll definitely be back! read more

Cupbop - B Bop with spice level 5 - Korean Near Me - Draper, Utah

This isn't the first time this has happened at this location. I get barely any sauce out on my bowl leaving the whole bowl dry and unflavored. I don't know if I need to constantly ask for more sauce or what but it's getting annoying. If you're looking for a flavorful bite, caution. read more

This place is really good and getting the sauces at the right heat level at the end makes a difference for sure. I did heat level 6, but I think I will do a 7 next time. I do like spicy food though. Great place and lots of food. read more

I've ordered Cupbop twice. The first time was amazing and I was an instant fan! The second time...Not so much. Some of the noodles were hard and stuck together. It was over sauced with that mayonnaise sauce and the beef was tough..........Additionally there is something else that is really bugging me about this place. Both times I went through the drive true, the employee solicitated a tip. This is assembly line fast food in every sense of the word. I'm all for tipping for sit down service, a large complicated takeout order, or a restaurant delivery service where they use their own gas to drive it to my home. But a one item order at a fast food drive through...why? They didn't serve me. They hung a bag out the window. These people need to get a real delivery or server job. Then they would have a clue how hard other people have to work for tips. read more

This place is kinda like the Chipotle of Korean BBQ but they definitely do not hit the mark. Some of the sauces are good but the problem is that they weirdly mix them into a really weird concoction that does not taste great. The best way to order there is to be simple and try everything you order. That is honestly not ideal for a fast food place but you gotta do what you gotta do for some good food. read more

I love the cup bop! Honestly! I get a number one every time with potstickers on top! It's a little pricey but even our toddlers like it

Such good customer service!!!! We always love coming here. The food is always fresh and delicious so you can't go wrong.

Primo fast casual fare. Whenever I'm in the area, Cup Bop is my go-to place. Try the clear noodles, the Combo, or the BimiBop. Winner every time. read more

This is my second time coming to Cupbob. The staff was friendly. The restaurant was clean, and the food was good. I got the combo box beef and chicken with mandoo (pot stickers). I tried all the spice level sauces and settled on 5. It wasn't too spicy and the flavor was the best out of all of them. It was a little pricey for what I got. I would expect a little more meat for the price. To be completely honest the food looks better then it tasted. I may have set my bar too high based on the look of the food. Overall I would recommend stopping by. I'll be back. read more

This is the new trendy spot that all my friends love. It's a new startup restaurant and they have some kinks to work out. There was a huge bottleneck in the line at the sauce station / cash register ... we watched our food get cold for 10 agonizing minutes while we waited to pay. The food was great though, definitely a good mix of textures and flavors that makes you crave more and want to come back. Make sure to bring patience and an empty stomach when you do. read more

I love the food trucks. The food here isn't the same. Still tasty but the portions are not the same. 5 pieces of meat is all I got. Also the rice was watery from some sauce or something. Not really sure. The bowl just wasn't filled up. Still tasty food though. read more

Cupbop - Ugly pop bop, pretty good but not enough food. Fill it up next time! - Korean Near Me - Draper, Utah

Finally they have a store here in the valley! I always follow their social media to see if their food trucks will be nearby. I can't get enough! The B-bop(beef) and hot bop(spicy pork) are my favorites. Take that spice level up to a 6 and it's a perfect balance of spicy and delicious. The staff are always friendly and fun. read more

Ordered & paid ahead. About an hour before close--The place was empty and they hadn't started the order when I arrived after the appointed time. They were out of noodles and said that it would take a long time to cook more. They substituted extra rice. +1 star for giving me some pot stickers instead. It's too bad--they used to be good. read more

Overall it was just alright. The place was actually kind of hard to see from the street. We drove past it and barely found it on the way back. When we got there the staff was really nice. The food was average but decent for a lunch option. I had the dish with 7 different veggies on it with rice and chicken. The chicken was actually pretty poor but the veggies were good. read more

Solid 1st time visit to this brick and mortar location. I've seen massive lines at the balls games so I knew it was something I had to try. Food was great and I'll be back. I was impressed with what you get in the combo bowl, which had meat, a semi-translucent noodle (cellophane noodle?) rice and veggies. They also customize the spicyness, which seemed intentionally weak (a 6 was advertised as cholula level hot, a 7 Tabasco). I went with 7 and was not disappointed but will try at least an 8 next time. And I'm not one to really go after hot food, so 9-10 may be quite doable for most. The place is clean but small with a small seating area outside. The menu is small, which is not a detriment. Staff friendly. There is a lot of call and response between staff when ordering which didn't seem necessary and they really didn't seem that into it. But maybe I'm just old. I'll be back to bop more. read more

Glad to have a store up here in Salt Lake Valley! I was enjoying cupbop since they had a table set up at the Sugar House Farmer's Market, and they're still just as awesome after having expanded greatly. This is the place to go if you want fast, tasty, and inexpensive Korean BBQ. Highly recommended for a quick bite. read more

Cupbop - The KoKo Bop, 7 Spicy Level - Korean Near Me - Draper, Utah

We went here for lunch. A few issues for us personally was the shake bop was loaded up rice or noodle with skimpy veggies and meat. If you want any extra or added veggie its $1.00 per veggie including iceberg lettuce (which a whole head is less than than $1) and the serving is about a "tong pinch". I don't like going to restaurants where their food price is already on the high end then they skimp and nickel and dime you. I was expecting a tad more flavor it was pretty bland for Korean food. Ehhhhh...but the staff was really nice! Great customer service and they knew their food and had great recommendations A+ for that! read more

I love the Cupbop food truck. So today is my first time at the store. I ordered Kko-Kko bop with no rice and lettuce add pot stickers for To Go. Got home, all I got was chicken and noodles for $10.25. Ridiculous. All the shouting to repeat the order is useless I guess. read more

This place is so hit or miss. Last week I had one of the best bops ever, come back today- they order three things - they tell me it will be 6 minutes for my chicken. Okay. I wait then they only give me 1 - no problem I get my second. The mondoo I ordered was COLD, the order I got was totally wrong ordered a combo and only got one meat and it was bad and cold anyways. I'm probably done trying here read more

If you've never tried Cupbop before, the giant lines at the food truck events are a strong indicator of it being a slice above the rest. My biggest complaint with Cupbop has always been the consistency of their food truck schedule. With this location in Draper, my biggest complaint is addressed! I'm a big fan of spicy food, so I usually go with a spice of 9-10, and it definitely has some kick to it! My wife, on the other hand, doesn't do to well with spice and so she usually goes with a 5 or 6. It's crazy how with the different levels you chose, the taste changes to a unique dish. So, while the food is great, what really makes this a must stop and a recommendation of mine are the amazing staff! They are always having fun and make it an enjoyable experience. The lady that was assisting us was so friendly and really made the experience a memorable one. Whether you are in the mood for spicy or not, Cupbop almost always hits the spot! Definitely give the place a try and see what all the hype is about! read more

We thought the food trucks were amazing already, but the draper store somehow managed to be a little better. It feels like family. Get the bowl (I like the beef, wife likes the chicken) with mandoo, ask for it sloppy, and add some white sauce. Trust me. My wife got me started on Cupbop and the first few times I came, I thought it was OK, but nothing special. But then it clicked and now I'm totally hooked. We go here at least once a week. I think there's something in that white sauce... read more

I've had the food truck many times and have been very satisfied. Maybe because this place is new processes haven't been ironed out to be consistent. I ordered the Korean BBQ chicken and not exaggerating at least 1/3 of the cup was water. Huh!?? Soggy noodles and rice hmmm... Ate maybe 3 bites and tossed it. Had no flavor and was watered down. Yuck Not impressed... read more
