I ordered the large catfish plate and it was great. Large filets, hush puppies, and homemade onion rings. Everything was cooked to order and was hot and tasted great. Besides that they were great. Look forward to returning and trying the rest of the menu.

I was heading home from Texas to Georgia when I had to pull over at a pilot to fill up on gas. I…read morewas hungry, so I checked to see what was around me and not too far next-door was a restaurant that I probably never would have went into just by looking over but I promise you it was worth it. When first going inside there is what looks to be like a small general store and the opening to a bar right behind it with people sitting having drinks and talking but more of a country cabin feel bar to it. I kind of felt out of place but went in anyway and asked if they were still serving. They said sure come on in and order at the register with the menu and then just have a seat in the room next-door, which had tables and chairs felt like picnic table and chairs, or you could sit on a chair near the bar which I did because it seemed kind of cold with the air condition blowing in the dining room area. I was skeptical as if it was a local joint because people kept looking over at me but I'm glad I didn't run. I ordered a 9 ounce ribeye and it was one of the best steaks. I think I have ever tasted outside of the near the Grand Canyon in Arizona. It was so juicy and flavorful. I wish it was closer to my house. It would be a weekly meal. I believe the price was like $29 and you had, two side items. I started out with a Louisiana style gumbo, which was very good and tasty but the star of this show with the steak. While eating the cook came out over to my table and asked how everything was and with my mouth full of tender juicy steak, I could just shake my head and she would just laugh. The steak was so perfectly seasoned and had so much flavor with the perfectly cooked pink center . I normally prefer fillet mignon because there is not much fat and I don't care for fat, but I caught myself not only I say sucking on the little fat pieces but actually eating some of it if it had a little meat on it. As my sides, I picked green beans and Black Eyed Peas and it came with a cornbread muffin which I carried with me and ate in the car on the way home. The cornbread muffin was sweet and cake like so I'm glad I didn't get dessert because this was just nice. Yes yes yes a nice steak, and it brought all the Texan out in me. I hope I can find this restaurant again on my travel back to my mom's from Georgia.

My niece is crazy about the corn dogs here. But I thought my niece was saying hotdogs, but the sweet girl at the counter helped me there, sweetly saying corn dogs. So there's a funny part: I don't think I took a picture of this. But don't let this change your mind. So, I got the corn dog with the sausage. The corn dog was so good I forgot the sausage was supposed to be inside. The amount of cheese is insane, love it. The bread and the outside of the corn dog are something to write home about. It takes a lot to eat this corn dog and I'm loving every bite. But toward the very end, I bite something, and I'm like, what is this? I looked at it, holding it up, and it's the sausage. The sausage is at the very end; it is no bigger and no longer than your baby finger. So don't go there thinking you will have a full sausage. But you would probably be like me, so carried away with the taste of the corndog and forget there is supposed to be a sausage. I brought this up to my niece, and before I could finish, she told me the story, hollering and laughing. I must add, its a charming place too!
