Enough seating for two or more people. Service 3 Stars - we arrived around 1:30 to avoid the lunch rush and both cashiers were counting their till so we had to wait before we can ordered. We ordered two lunch items. Meal: 3.5 Stars Philly Steak and Cheese Poyboy w a drink. So, the cheesesteak comes as a Panni sandwich, flatten down which is odd. It looked like it was ran over with an Asphalt roller. I don't know if my employee requested that way or not. I wish I took a picture but he was all ready devouring it. Burger : 3.5 Stars w fries and drink. I had a burger with a fried egg on it. It was good and juicy but the fries were ok. Some of the fries were partly cooked in the center. As I was eating my meal, I noticed on receipt I ordered two drinks which I was charge but when I paid for the items, the cashier charge me an extra drink on a separate ticket because she thought she didn't think she charge me on the original order. It took staff members to fix the issue and I was refunded for one drink. So make sure the cashier repeat what you ordered. Fortunately it wasn't too busy and they were able to handle the issue immediately.

We got the half Italian and half Honey bbq. Sides were steamed broccoli and potato salad. The sides were ok but the standouts were definitely the sandwiches. I wasn't expecting them to be so good. I imagined they would be on par with Subway but nope, they came out so quickly and warm. The cheese on the honey bbq melted so beautifully and loveee the sweetness of it too. The sourness of the Dijon mustard coupled perfectly with the Italian meats. You may dine in but we got them to go to eat while on the road. The staff was patient with while we looked at the menu. It looks like if you sign up for rewards, you get a famous sweet tea! I don't get why they have negative reviews. This place definitely deserves 5 stars!

I telephoned the restaurant to ask what type of bread both sandwiches came on, first time the call dropped (right)? Called back to ask to speak to manager , I asked the same question. I was told the sandwiches come on ciabatta however, they were out of the ciabatta and substituted the bread. I indicated the bread looks like hot dog buns. I stated, wouldn't it be better if you informed the customer you were out of the bread and give them the option of canceling the order. She agreed, and apologized. However, I did not feel as if she was sorry for my inconvenience. This was my absolute last time to order from this McAllister. The sad part is that we don't have a lot of restaurants so why not be the best at what you do. Let's do better people.

Solid 3.5 Stars…read more Located in Meridian, this restaurant serves decent sandwiches (cold n hot), soups, chili (no beans) and large potatoes. 4 Stars Service can be spotty, however during our visit, the staff were professional and efficient. We arrived for lunch on a Saturday and they had a steady flow of patrons at the tables and ordering. Though slightly understaff, they watch as a team from taking orders, providing your dreams, preparing the order and servicing it. And they came around to see if you anything else and pick up our empty plates. 3.5 Stars Ambiance is low key and chill. Tables and bathrooms were clean and the music wasn't loud. This establishment continues to honor a 10% military discount. I believe this discount also applies to law-enforcement and first responders. Just make sure you ask for it and you may have to show your ID. Food 3 Stars I ordered the Choose 2. You can choose a sandwich, potato, and a side dish. Such as chips, mac & cheese, chili, or other side dish. Some side dishes cost more. My order was a half of a Max Spud and a cup of chili. The spud comes with cheese, black olives, green onions, and some diced ham on it. The spud was a decent size for a half potato. Can't go wrong with a cup of chili - meat chili. Wifey ordered the New Yorker, which is a Reuben on rye bread and a bag of chips. It was good. Iff you'd like Neil she may want to order an extra one. So if you live in Meridian or close to town, this is a place to go to. If you're driving through on I 20 this is also a good place to make a pitstop. you'll enjoy the food.
