If I could leave zero stars I would. Dry employees, the atmosphere felt like I was being persecuted, and the absolute worst iced vanilla latte I have ever tasted. The girl didn't even tamp the espresso.. The cup was filled 95% with milk and the rest with watery espresso. She ran the same shot twice.. TWICE instead of just pulling a complete two shots. I'm disgusted.. I have never seen or experienced anything at any coffee shop quite like I did today. Train your employees and make this place legit or do something else. We were traveling through Meridian and didn't want typical fast food. Found Mia's on Yelp. So glad we stopped. My husband had a cafe late with mocha added and the French toast with bacon. I had a cauliflower crust Mediterranean pizza. All was vey good. Would stop here again in a heartbeat. read more

I had the Cajun turkey sandwich for lunch To go today today and it was so great that I decided to bring friends and family for supper. For the sandwich, I fancy myself somewhat of a spice fan. A lot of times when I order something "spicy" from restaurants, I'm let down. Not in this case! The heat was, however, offset perfectly by the bread and meat. The quality of the meats and cheeses are readily apparent in each bite. This is not your basic meat and bread sandwich, rather it is an experience offering varying textures and tastes in each bite. It was simply fantastic. (The potato salad side was also particularly outstanding) For dinner, I decided to try the spaghetti and meatballs. Those that know me understand that this is my go to dish. The plate came out with a great presentation. Two (very large) meatballs sat atop al dente noodles in a savory tomato sauce topped with cheese. The helping was so generous that I struggled to finish! I have had this dish from Italy, to DC, to California and would recommend it to anyone in town or passing through. Great menu item. We couldn't leave without trying some dessert. The inviting area around the register boasts some irresistible looking sweets. In the end, I settled on a cannoli, while my wife and child enjoyed two different types of gelato. The cannoli presented a myriad of tastes, from sweet, to flaky, and crunchy with the pistachios. It was very pleasant to eat, with the cannoli holding its form through each bite without crumbling (as others I have had have). The gelato that my wife graciously shared, took me back to my time in Southern Europe, where it is considered an art form. To top off the review, I am admittedly not an aesthetics guy. I value the quality of food over everything else. However, between the mural outside the building to warm dining area and open kitchen, this cafe offers a highly unique experience in the meridian area. The owner even came and checked on us during the meal and gave a warm welcome. The staff was also very attentive and welcoming. There are so many dishes, options, and drinks to try. We look forward to going back very soon to discover some new favorites. read more

We stopped here for late lunch on a long road trip and it really hit the spot. Staff was super sweet and friendly. Husband got the club sandwich which was great -- perfect proportion of all the ingredients. I got the meatball sub and their homemade meatballs were truly outstanding -- super tender and flavorful. Visiting Meridian for the day and found a new little Cafe thanks to a kind estate salesman who recommended Mia's. Family owned and operated, this place was a sweet find. I had a ham and havarti toasted deli sammie. Hubs had steak and pepper panini. The owner was present and was precious. Old school customer service with new school bites. They have delicious gelato, coffee and other yummies for dessert. They even brought a bowl of water and scoop of gelato out to the car for our doggo. Love! Go support this local gem! read more

Cute corner Cafe. Their pizza seems to be quite popular. We had paninis which were very good. Only problem is their flow of ordering. Everything is crowded in one tiny area and you end up elbowing each other for menus, chips, drinks, etc. They should have a sign or chalkboard on the wall so people can see the menu. read more

I would have given it a 5 star if they didn't bring out our food in such a disorganized way. The food was great tasting. The atmosphere was good and laid back. The customer service was good but the actual service of bringing out the food was ridiculous! I ordered 2 salads, a pizza & a breakfast (waffles, eggs and sausage). Then I went back to the back to order garlic bread and 2 more side salads. When the order came, we got all salads, then we got the pizza. My son's eggs also came but not the rest of the meal. We almost finished and he still didn't have his waffle or the sausage. I asked and the server said because I ordered it out of order, that's why it was coming that way. Then I asked for a water and it took forever to get it and it came with the sausage at the very end when we all finished eating. My son felt uncomfortable and rushed even though we weren't rushing them. The cook supposedly didn't see the sausage written on the ticket. And then I sat and waited for our bill for another 10 mins or so. I had the kids go outside and wait w their dad. I don't know but a table came in after us with a bigger party and got their meals at full service before we did. read more

I ate here recently and loved the place. The food was good and the way they have the place fixed up reminds me of the places I used to eat at in the French Quarter when I worked at the shipyard. Service was good and the workers were pleasant and chatty. I liked it so much that I mentioned it to my oldest daughter a few days later and she actually went to school with the owner. My husband ordered the muffuletta and I ordered the club sandwich. My husband had never had a muffuletta, so didn't really know what to expect. He enjoyed it a lot! My sandwich didn't arrive when his did. I waited and waited for my club sandwich to arrive. He was half way through and I still hadn't received it. When a waitress was at another table (we were eating outside), I called her over to let her know I was still waiting for my sandwich. She seemed a little confused, so I knew my sandwich was forgotten about. After another several minutes, I received my order, but it had mayo, and I had requested no mayo. After another wait, I received the sandwich, no mayo, but now it had no mustard, but it was like eating cardboard! My husband was walking the dogs, there was no waitress around, I didn't want to leave my table because it was in high demand, so I waited with napkins covering my sandwich because the flies were as hungry as I was, until my husband or a waitress showed up. My husband returned with the dogs and he went inside to ask for some mustard. He returned to the table, but by then I was just ready to take my sandwich back to the hotel room. I ate half my sandwich at my room and will save the other half for later. Now, for the sandwich itself, was packed with meat, the bread was toasted perfectly. The lettuce and tomatoes were fresh. There was just one slice of cheese, and for such a stacked sandwich, it needed two slices. A club always has a middle piece of bread. This sandwich did not. Was it missing? That's an important part of a club sandwich. The employees were sweet, but needed to be more aware of what's going on with the orders they are serving. If my sandwich had been served when my husband had received his sandwich, and if it had been served without mayo, and if it had been served with mustard like it was supposed to, I would be writing a five star review, but today's review gets four stars because by the time we got what we asked for, I just wanted to leave. read more

This was a little quant place a very nice coffee and danish shop... Take a book and enjoy the aroma of coffee in a rural area.

I went on a Sunday in January and it was very cold outside. I had the shrimp and grits and it was great. My son had a baseball showcase at meridian college later that morning. I needed to kill some time and with it being cold out I relaxed in one of the chairs next to window near the street and enjoyed my coffee. A musician began stetting up and was preparing to play starting at 11:30. Food is great and it has a chill vibe. I'll be back for sure. read more

I have an unhealthy obsession with lavender lattes and they have EVERY syrup flavor including lavender :) I was just driving through during my road trip and it was quick and pretty good too!! This is a great cafe! I had the Turkey Pesto Panini. It was perfect. Crispy not hard, a good amount of fresh turkey, and all of the flavors blended well. They were fast and super friendly. I love the actual plates and glasses, not paper. The sweet girl bringing food out noticed my drink was low, and she brought me a to-go cup full! Nice! read more
