The staff was friendly. The food was awful. We got the BBQ pork nachos. The chips were so stale they were hard to eat. The BBQ sauce was so sweet that it threw everything off but that's a flavor preference I guess. The baked potatoes were gross. The bread for my sandwich was also stale and I could barely chew it. My Mom and I (89 and 70) stopped by on December 18 at the McAlister's on 27th Place in Meridian, MS, for our favorite sandwich when we go out of town and I wonder what happened to McAlister's. We always get a whole Reuben and a bowl (not the cup) of Tortilla Soup and it is so much we have leftovers for the next day. The sandwiches we got yesterday didn't have 3 ozs of corned beef, and it might have only been 2 ozs. I don't normally check the orders from your Delis, and I have been to several of them in TX, LA, and MS. but I wish I had because I didn't discover this until we got home, 60 miles away. They didn't even put the pickle in and I am so disgusted I'll never go to another one again. What's happening? Are employees putting the corned beef I paid for (it was a $32 order) into their own stomachs? I want my money back. And I use Google Reviews and Social Media, and I promise you I will review this on Yelp and every other site I can find. If you need to reduce portions by this much you need to make your customers aware of it before they purchase food at your business. read more

What a horrible experience. Ordered the food. We did not get our drinks. When they brought the food the waitress was rude when we asked about our drinks. Stated we could go up front and get them. The medicament cups with the ranch dressing: one maybe a third full. The other maybe half. The other salad got N O dressing. I went to the counter and asked for 3 ranch dressings. The gurl loudly barked off "you'll have to pay for them. I informed her if they'd fill the dam cups up I wouldn't have to come to the counter. So. You pay $9.00 for a salad and they expect you to pay for the dressing. People working here have no smiles. Obviously hate their jobs and are rude. On Fridays I let the staff order lunch from there. My husband was having lunch there 9/28/22 so I placed an online order for a club sandwich, mac & cheese and a Caesar side salad for him to bring to me. Mac & cheese was ok but a little bland. The TINY salad, that cost $5.99 had a bunch of spotted & rotten lettuce in it. No way they didn't see this! It was nicely placed under the good stuff. WHY?! Stopped here looking to get a quick meal and go home, however we were not successful. Arrived at 7:50 and did not get our food until 8:30. After waiting about 20 minutes we began to question whether or not they had even made our order. Then, ironically, they come out and inform one of our party members that they are out of the bread for her order. She then said she would be fine with sourdough but after a few minutes she came back and said they didn't have that either. Never again will I come back here unless I have at least an hour to spare. I usually LOVE McAlisters, but the experience I had at this particular restaurant was awful!! The staff and manager were extremely rude and would literally talk like me and my husband were not sitting right infront of them. They asked if we wanted our food for there or to go we said for there and they put it in a to go bag anyway. Our food was not just chilly it was COLD like refrigerator cold. Every time we order from here it's a disappointment. We ordered tonight & I ordered the cranberry club - they forgot the lettuce & tomato on my sandwich. They forgot the pickle on one of our orders. I recently started using curbside after church on Sunday. I visited on 9/27/20 and they were busy per usual. I had to wait a bit longer than in previous visits but a nice gentleman by the name of Tony approached my vehicle within minutes of arriving and asked my name to check on my order. Later, after waiting a bit Mr. Tony again checked to see why our food hadn't been delivered to us. He quickly checked within and returned with our order. I have dined several McAlister's but this experience was terrible. The food that was prepared did not match the on-line order in any way. None of the sandwiches had honey mustard on them. The one sandwich that I indicated 'no mayonnaise' was slathered with it. The 9 grain bread was hard and dry. There were no pickles to be found with the order. First Consumers Financial, in North Hills, staff eats from McAlisters Deli on a regular basis. We have eaten at both locations. We love the food and the atmosphere. The chicken salad croissant is awesome and so are the nacho's. Definitely a favorite of places to eat. read more

By far the worst experience I have ever had at a McAllister's deli. I have eaten at several all over the southeast and always have a great experience. Today I waited 45 minutes to get two sandwiches. I stood at the counter for 5 minutes before any of the three ladies behind the counter acknowledged we were even standing there. Food was steady coming out wrong. As I'm waiting for my food the staff is walking around behind the counter joking around yet they are telling customers there is a 45 min wait. Seriously 45 min wait at McAlister's. Not sure who is managing this location but they have done a completely piss poor job. The staff needs removed and a new one brought in. I watched people arguing to get there money back as they sat here for 45 min to get food. They turned at least 15 customers away while sitting here. Wow. Will make us think twice about visiting in the future. read more

McAlisters is definitely one of my favorite things about the south. I absolutely love their fountan sodas (perfect combination of carbonation and syrup) and their ginormous chocolate chip cookies. The veggie sandwich is delicious and I love their baked potatoes. Its a great place to have lunch out on the patio and they are very fundraiser friendly. read more

Would you like a squashed cheese sandwich consisting of cheese that melted and re-solidified with the bread totally misaligned? Well, either way, that's what you're going to get here! We came here for lunch as a pit stop on a road trip and boy was it disappointing! A quick yelp search showed that there was a great Thai place in town, but one of my "friends" said he just "wouldn't do thai food." We had a long argument about where to go that ended with all of us worn out and hungry enough to settle for this dump. One of my other "friends" sat in a corner the entire meal pouting, so that didn't help anything. HOWEVER, there was a really really cute cat walking around the whole time, so that was a plus. I have never had an experience at a Mcalisters like this one and it seems to be a trend. Waiting a minimum of 15 minutes before getting our food. Horrible experience! Where do I begin. First off, I live nearby and have frequented this restaurant for years and it has gone from slowly declining to a downright dump. We walk in this evening and there's at least 6 employees behind the counter and only one operating a register. After waiting in line for nearly 15 minutes to order and the line behind me gathering all the way to the door, they decide it would be a "good idea" to open another register. Ya think?! So we order 2 spud maxes plus a nacho basket. One of the spud maxes was to come with Rotel. We were informed that the Rotel was being cooked and that would be about 10 min. Okay, no big deal. Food comes. Spud maxes have shrinked to about half the size they used to be and no Rotel. After waiting another 15 min, the Rotel is still cooking. My son was done eating his PB&J, I was done eating my spud max, and my boyfriend was still waiting on the Rotel to eat his potato. They finally brought it literally 30 min after our food was originally served and the nacho basket followed about 10 min after that. The Rotel was lukewarm and not even fully cooked. Staff acted like they could honestly care less. Restaurant itself was dirty. Tables everywhere that were unclean and trash all over the floor. Then my son, who is six, asked for a tea refill as we were leaving. They filled his glass with piping hot tea. No ice. We will not ever be going back. Like never! read more

Good food but order didn't come out correct AT all. First, the woman handed me my bag and wished me well off. When I had a ticket on my to go bag that SAID I needed also a gallon of sweet tea and two cookies. Got my gallon and she wished me off, I pointed at the cookies in the basket and said "okay I just grab them?" And she said "oh yeah, yeah just grab them." My husband got a French dip sandwich with NO dip at all.... what the hell is a French dip with no dip? Good Lord. Then I got the grilled chicken sandwich that is SUPPOSED to come with tomatoes, lettuce and honey mustard. I asked for additional items like avocado and bacon. Guess what made it on the sandwich? Chicken, cheese, bacon and a tiny piece of avocado HAHAHA. What? Nah, next time I order here from take out I'm going to need your employees to TAKE the boxes out the bag and show me my order. We had stopped ordering from them because we always get home with the wrong food, or if we catch that the order is incorrect before we leave the restaurant, they leave the rest of the food sitting on the counter to get cold while they redo the items that are wrong. I'm not sure which is worse. My son came to town and wanted to order from them, and even though I knew better, I agreed. Boy was that a mistake! We ordered him a turkey club, but when got home we got a ham and cheese. We ordered a French Dip with Cole slaw and one with potato salad, but both had potato salad. At least this time we got the au jus, which is the thing they usually leave out. No au jus changes a French Dip into a French don't because it is too dry to eat. I asked them specifically if a pickle came with the French Dip because if it didn't I would have been willing to pay extra. The online menu picture of the French Dip and the Big and Nasty sandwich were shown with a pickle. They told me pickles came with the sandwiches, but when we got home none of the sandwiches had a pickle. read more
