Orange almond cake, amazing and GF
    Kris L.

I had an excellent meal and loved the outdoor patio, perfect for March weather. I ordered the chickpea lettuce wrap appetizer and added blackened salmon, very good. They have decadent desserts that you can view ahead of time in a case. I ordered the orange almond cake as it was gluten free and the waiter gave me two pieces! He said they were the last two and he thought they looked skimpy! Great service and good food and atmosphere. I'll be back.

Dog friendly outside but was chilly that morning. They had one heater going but not the one near us. Food was fast and good. Service was fine although we did ask for a dog water bowl she never brought.

I've always been a big fan or Cup cafes breakfast... it's one of my favorite places to go to have brunch with friends.. the amount of food for the price you pay always feels worth it.. I love the vibe of the restaurant.. the history and the staff is always great.. last night I finally had their dinner and was a bit disappointed.. I felt like the prices were a bit much for how much food we all got.. my pasta tasted ok.. my sister didn't really enjoy her food.. with that being said.. I'd definitely continue to go back for breakfast but not dinner..

    Lettuce wrap

The lettuce wrap is not a wrap, its lettuce with some toppings on it. The chicken was 9 dollars for maybe a 4 ounce chicken breast and it was dry. 25 bucks for for this. Only reason I gave it a second star is because the lettuce and toppings did have great flavor. I mixed up the lettuce and toppings before the picture. Presentation did look a little better. It was a 20 min wait for a table, after 20 minutes we made an order to go. That still took 35 to 40 minutes after we placed the order. It was not very timely

Cup Cafe has a cozy, eclectic vibe that's perfect for a weekend brunch with family or friends. You can choose to sit indoors or enjoy the fresh air on the patio. Service was friendly and efficient--our food arrived promptly. Braveheart - 4.7/5 stars This dish was a brunch masterpiece. Toasted sourdough forms the base, topped with crispy smoked brisket, charred tomato slices, sautéed spinach, and a rich house-made sausage gravy. Two poached eggs sit on top, adding a silky finish. Everything was well-seasoned and flavorful. The breakfast potatoes on the side were golden and crisp, which is exactly how they should be. Benny's Burrito - 1/5 Unfortunately, this was a miss. The burrito was under-seasoned and forgettable. The house-made salsa was mediocre; I had to use store-bought hot sauce just to make it edible. As a local comparison for Tucsonians: Banner Breakfast Burrito is far superior in taste and quality. Cup Cafe is a solid brunch spot, but choose your dishes wisely. I'll definitely return to try other popular menu items.

The cutest spot for brunch!! Options to sit both inside or on the patio, with great lighting and decorations throughout. Fast service that doesn't cut corners on quality - the potatoes are fantastic and an absolute standout!

Political and moralistic statements are really not necessary, and this is not art that corresponds with the rest of the decor in any way

Please consider how unsettling this kind of decor is for customers enjoying a morning tea or a holiday meal It's sexist and very much politically charged. I don't support this business because I agree with the ownership's political beliefs, I support this business because our town is employed here and we require food and beverage . This is not art and no one needs to read this shit while spending $40/ person to enjoy an outing

This gem inside Hotel Congress is one of my favorite downtown spots. The menu is full of delicious options--so many that I often can't decide what to get. Their desserts are outstanding, and breakfast here never disappoints. Because indoor seating is limited, it's smart to come early as the restaurant fills up fast. The interior is gorgeous, and the service is consistently excellent.

Mother's Day brunch on the patio, wonderful service-checked in often and brought pitcher of water and had swamp cooler on to cut the warmth when the sun came out. Our party ordered nothing from the specials listed for Mother's Day-the Braveheart, another egg skillet w/side of potatoes/bread, burger, the Cuban, the Tucson dip and something else. Coffee, and 3 different coffee drinks:Havana, caramel latte and Americano. Nice day for brunch with family. Ambience -Nice area, public parking across the street. Definitely a place worth coming back to. Raspberry pistachio cheesecake and bread pudding something-both super good. 2 of us had leftovers.

I'm so sorry to say that I had a poor experience at the Cup. I've been hearing about it since before I moved to Tucson, and I've been at the hotel for evening events. But everyone talks about how great their brunch is, and mine was not a good experience. We got there at 9, before the brunch crowd, but it still took 45 minutes for me to get my food. When it did get there, it was cold. I got the barrio toast, with eggs over easy, and as you know, eggs do not taste so great when they're not hot. In addition, there was sort of a vinegar taste or something to the avocado part of it that I didn't care for. For $16, there was only one piece of bread and very small side salad. The friend I had brunch with was not happy either. She got the smoked salmon Benedict, and they included some kind of "tomato chutney" that she said just tasted like barbecue sauce, not appetizing. It certainly didn't look like chutney. They also used way too much of it on her food. She scraped some of it off, but still left half of one of her English muffins as a result. The other problem I had was with the coffee. The mugs are tiny, and when I ran out, it took a while to get another cup. She finally told me that because it was decaf, they did not prioritize making it, and so it took me 15 minutes to get a refill, it didn't come out until I was done with my food. Another annoyance was that although service had been incredibly slow, it was obvious that they couldn't wait to get us out of there once we were done. She took the bill fast enough. Again, I love the hotel Congress, I'm just disappointed because everyone speaks so highly of brunch here. I think they need a little work.

Good service, good food. Bar seating available. Very unique, historical decor and environment. Desserts are a large selection of the cakes and pies shown in the rotating glass stand. The stuffed chicken I had was tender and tasty. I took a star off because the basque matcha cheesecake could have been better with the texture. The cheesecake crumbled off to little pieces with every poke, it didn't stick well. Otherwise the taste was good and not too sweet. Photos of the bar is separate - it's in the lobby of the hotel next to Cup Cafe. Cup Cafe is located in Hotel Congress in downtown Tucson. Street parking or paid parking lots.

I'm so happy to see several more plant based menu options including the breakfast tamale plate that I had. Please encourage them to use more local and organic, Non GMO ingredients! The outside patio is beautiful and a perfect way to enjoy a delicious meal!

The Cub Cafe is the Tucson classic restaurant located in the Congress hotel. It has been a long time since I've eaten here and I was absolutely amazed about how good. The food was exceptional and very tasty. The service was excellent and I was really impressed about the overall experience. I did not have an issue with my coffee being filled all the time. I love the eclectic hip fives of the restaurant since the building's so old.

So many higher-end expensive restaurants serve bland, tasteless food, meanwhile this amazing mid-ranged restaurant is serving some of the best dishes I've ever had. The smashed chicken was probably the best chicken dish I have ever had at a restaurant. The skin was perfectly crispy while the meat was juicy and well-seasoned. The ginger and herb salsa verde was so fresh and aromatic. The cilantro rice complimented the lemongrass aioli perfectly. Everything was seasoned perfectly, and I'm usually one to reach for the salt shaker at most restaurants. Smoked olives are a concept I have never considered before. It's a concept that was executed perfectly here. So savory, flavorful, and complex. I'd love to have a few with a dirty martini. Speaking of drinks, my Casino gin cocktail was great. Perfect level of sweetness and tartness. I knew I had to order dessert after how good everything else was, even though I am usually not a dessert person. The oolong tea cake was nothing short of incredible. The tea flavor was subtle but paired well with the fluffy and light honey buttercream. Not too sweet at all. Of course, the service was great too.
