BUYER BEWARE: Whenever purchasing a vehicle at a used car dealer, there is always an element of…read morerisk. Unfortunately that risk may have been known ahead of time and merely undisclosed or covered up in order to make a profit in this game of currency we play. I purchased a 2011 Toyota Prius on 9-9-2023 from Auction Direct 2 U / Alternative Sales & Leasing with a $3500 down payment and financing contract on the remainder for the next 20 months for a total of around $3300 financed including interest ($212 per month). On the 9th day of ownership, I drove to a deposition 10 minutes from home and when I left to go back home I started the vehicle and was met with a strong rattle, knock and shaking of the engine which then threw a Check Engine Light. This knocking went away after about 10 seconds but obviously I was alarmed at such a severe experience in a vehicle that would normally be symptoms of something much worse in a standard car. I was able to drive it home and brought the vehicle back to the dealer for them to look it over. The coolant had gone down and the diagnostic codes were for a cylinder 1 & 2 misfire. They were kind enough to "replace the spark plugs and coils" assuming it was even done, but after some research, the reason for the coolant loss was not an external leak, it was a head gasket leak which allowed coolant to puddle in the cylinders and cause the misfire. I asked them to look for that during the time the mechanics had it in their hands. It also was still during the preliminary 3,000 mile warranty that comes with the purchase. Since then the issue is still present, now outside the warranty window and I have let them know with various pictures, videos and forum messages of what the issue is from professionals that work on these cars or actual owners but I haven't received any advice, recommendations or quotes for repair from the dealer with their partnered mechanics who run the shop directly behind the dealership. I was originally told this car was a "trade-in at Volkswagen in Scottsdale" but I am lead to believe that was a lie. The previous owner is a millionaire living in Paradise Valley (I know this because Toyota gave me an oil change from a 3 oil change package that was still paid for from the previous owner, the receipt had his name/address which I looked up on Zillow) who probably had the head gasket issue then gave this car to an auction/junkyard for recycling like a wealthy person would instead of fixing it due to its age and high mileage, then it was pawned off to this dealer and ultimately sold to me. Overall it is a nice car but I am left with a 3,000 LB piece of debt and low income to repair the head gasket which could lead to a blown connecting rod requiring more extensive engine repair/replacement. I do deliveries for a living due to some limitations I have on acquiring more substantial employment so this was a genuine business investment not a pleasure purchase, mainly to lessen my fuel expense but now it has went completely in the wrong direction. 2/5 stars for the detailing of the vehicles, the no-hassle salesmanship and overall ease of closing a transaction. Unfortunately I just didn't get the reality for the value I paid.

Will forever purchase my cars from Auction Direct 2 U! Fast, straightforward, great service!!!read more

First of all, I had no idea this place was the size of a small nation. I walked in thinking,…read more"Little antique shop, I'll just go up one aisle and down the next." Ma'am. Sir. There is no "up and down." This place is a labyrinth designed by someone who said, "What if we hid Narnia behind every dresser?" I got lost at least three times. Possibly four. At one point I genuinely forgot: What I came for, which direction I entered... who I am as a person. Every time I thought I found the "main path," I'd turn a corner and BAM! secret pocket room. Hidden alcove. Side quest unlocked. Now, to be fair, if you are someone who enjoys treasure hunting, rummaging, discovering trinkets you didn't know you needed, and time traveling, this is your Disneyland. There is stuff. So much stuff. Trinkets. Bobbles. Whatnots, galore. Things your grandma had. Things your grandma refused to have. I went in looking for one very specific item. I did not find it. I did, however, find three existential moments and mild spatial disorientation. Did I have a good time? Yes. Did I leave with what I needed? No. Did I briefly consider dropping breadcrumbs to find my way out? Also yes. Three stars because it's impressive, chaotic, and an adventure... but if you go in with a mission, be prepared to lose it. Possibly along with your sense of direction. Would return. With a map.

We've been to this store several times over the past couple of years & every time I'm lucky enough to find something amazing yet half the time my choice is in the locked cabinet..... lol! This store is extremely large so you can definitely be there for a few hours because they have everything that you can imagine! The store is also well spaced out for as big as it is & it's not cluttered like some antique stores can be! On this last visit I completely lucked out because I've been eyeing a figurine in a glass case & it was still there! Well once they took it out & put it in my hands I knew I wanted it.... a Giuseppe Armani figurine so delicately made, I fell in love & the price.... Could not beat! Then on another visit in another locked glass case there she sat.... This gorgeous Sweden " Strombergshyttan " crystal vase of a girl holding a bird cage, underneath the vase is signed & numbered. Yes I basically walked away with a steal, my husband had to tell me to stop smiling! I just love this store, there's such a large selection to choose from for all tastes out there! Mind you it's not in that fancy zip code but do not let that discourage you because sometimes when you drive out of those zip codes that's where's there'll be some extra treasures lingering around!
