You can see the back-and-forth and how little thought or care is put into what they do at this auction site

If you have a lot of patience and fuel to waste go no further than Nellis. Yes, there are times that you can snag a good deal but I can also say without exaggeration that you will be going back to return the items that you won a little over half the time. They are terrible at checking items to make sure that they are not broken or defective. It's very annoying having to waste fuel to make up for their lack of quality controls. Within the last two weeks I have contacted their customer service via email and in person about two separate items that I won and had to take back due to defects and mislabeling only to see those items go right back up for auction without any changes to the description letting people know that they don't work! What the hell is the problem here? They just don't seem to care even if you tell them in person that an item is broken you will see your return go back up for auction the next day. You guys are going to lose your customer base with this type of behavior. What are you thinking?

What has happened to Nellis lately? Lately, every trip has been a waste of time. It's become very clear that items aren't being inspected anymore. My latest purchase was a vent hood listed as "new," "functional," and "in package." Instead, it arrived visibly damaged, with the power cord cut off, and stuffed inside a box for an office chair. It was obviously not new, not functional, and definitely not in its original packaging. Before that, I bought a Water Flosser and a garden hose, both labeled as new, yet both still had water dripping from them. Opening the Water Flosser and finding water inside was disgusting. Then there was the "new" gray loveseat that turned out to be an ugly blue one. After hauling it home, I realized it wasn't even the item that had been advertised. I understand auctions come with some risk, but basic inspections and accurate descriptions shouldn't be too much to ask. The quality control has gone downhill to the point where it feels almost nonexistent. No value anymore.

Love coming here! It's quick and proficient. I usually pick up my items around 10 on Sunday mornings. There are workers directing the traffic and telling you what spot to check into. Sometimes the check in code doesn't work so a worker ca check you in by phone number. I always bring a opener to make sure items aren't damaged and are acceptable. Only a couple times I've had to do returns for an item not working or described correctly.

Literally bought an dehumidifyer the est retail was completely off and said new not damaged on the aution when i got it in greeted to a note saying its not new and is damaged

I love at Nellis Auction!! I was able to re-do my whole floor with tile that I paid $18 for!!!!! I have also bought numerous other items to update my house. The selection is amazing.!! and the customer service is impeccable

Be careful buying things here. I purchased some airpod pros which were marketed as new. I even took screenshots of the ad just so that it could not be changed on their end later. It said the AirPods worked and were functional. This will be important later on. I pick the pods up and they were completely drained battery wise so I found that weird. I get home charge them up and try to connect them and they work but it says "Gemma's Airpods". In my eyes the pods are used the second they connect to someone's phone and apple account. I then get an apple message saying that the original owner could see my location at all times. Due to apple security there is no way to turn this off on your end it must be done by the owner before they sell them. In my eyes Nellis knowingly sold them as new when they knew they were used because how did you know they worked and not connect them to a phone? You would have known they were used. Which would have made me never purchase to begin with. So if you think you are getting new be careful. Also apple products have these settings built in so while it looks like a deal its not. I wasn't having them know my location at all times always.

I would liken the Nellis online auctions to thrifting. You have to be patient with the process because you know that the prices are well below retail value. Yes some of the final auction bids that you win may seem too good to be true and other times it doesn't work out due to the item not being as described in the ad. I have become a regular with Nellis because there is a very flexible policy with returning items with no hassle if you are not satisfied. For the auction to improve, if the descriptions of the items were more accurate, that would be super helpful. There are some glitches in the app which can be frustrating, but that's OK because a new auction happens every day with similar items. As a regular, if I could give a tip, I would say, if there is an item you love, if it is at the beginning of it's 24 hour auction., either get on the watchlist or only bid once and wait until you get an alert from Nellis Auction with 1 minute and 53 seconds remaining in the auction and then aggressively bid so the price does not get run up over the course of 24 hours and then the item is near retail value. Sometimes I wonder if bidders on the most random items are Nellis Employees running up the price against you. eBay is more transparent because all Bidders have a name linked to their bid instead of just Bidder #1 to Bidder #6 etc. Overall, I'm very happy with my grabs at the Nellis auction.

Complete misrepresentation of the truth. Large percentage of items are broken, half full, missing parts, non-functional but they list them as new 5 star. They reply with cut and paste templates and have ZERO concern about wasting your time and money driving to pick up items they lied about. Save your time money and efforts. Go somewhere else where they value their customers and have integrity. Here's a classic description from the ignorant Nellis lazy incompetents. Description says statue has broken leg but they list it as new, 5 star, no damage, functional. And this is one of their better efforts. Usually they don't identify the damage. https://nellisauction.com/p/Hi-Line-Gift-Ltd-Sitting-Doberman-Pinscher-Dog-Statue-ONE-LEG-IS/114514764

As has been mentioned in previous reviews it can be a complicated relationship with Mac Bid, but for what it provides it has been a lot of fun. Seriously.... Where else can you pick up a set of bagpipes for $13 and a computer desk for $12 in the same haul? The randomness of what is offered is one of the pluses for Mac Bid. You can find some great deals and really unusual finds. Just do your due diligence on the condition of the goods. Once you're used to the rules, policies, and the expectation that you may have some bad buys (but overall in my experience it's covered by the savings) it can be really fun. The memberships do help with holds and being able to transfer between Phoenix and Mesa Warehouses. I much prefer Mesa as it seems to be much friendlier and more organized. Happy Hunting!

When I returned to resolve this, they refused to take it back, saying it was my responsibility to check the item before leaving. Even after speaking with the manager and repeatedly explaining the situation, I got the same response: "That's our policy." No empathy, no reasonable solution, and no willingness to take responsibility. How does an inspection policy justify leaving a customer paying for something they never purchased? I expected to receive the item I paid for. That is the most basic expectation in any transaction. I have never had a shopping experience like this. I left feeling cheated, dismissed, and completely frustrated. After getting nowhere, I left the incorrect item at their location and will be disputing the charge. The wrong item was frustrating enough. Their refusal to make it right was worse. Based on this experience, I would never shop here.

There was a high-end Baldwin piano that sold for $900 and beautiful china cabinets with matching table and chairs...this place is awesome!! The auctions are sorted into 4 different rooms two inside and two outside. The items get better in quality as they move from outside to inside, back to outside and then to the last inside room which carried some big ticket furniture and appliances. There is a $50 refundable deposit on a bidding stick (which you need in order to participate in all the fun) and let me tell you it can get intense!! It's a great date idea and good fun for any one.

I said I would prefer to go to auction. They responded by disabling a working item for preview (that had just been serviced to be in working order), incorrectly listed it on their website (they didn't bother with a brand name, model or year) & then sold it for a fraction of the value.
