This was a great bargain hunt for those in the valley. Leading up to 2025, it has been a pretty solid option. Only one time had them mess up an auction. Decent deals and in some cases outright bargains. Then 2025 rolled in and seems the staff stopped working. The cataloging of items, pictures and overall condition are not accurate. Just last week picked up 8 items and 6 are being returned due to inaccurate description or missing items. All were noted as working and all components included. Here are the 8 items and issues: 1 - Missing charger and accessories on vacuum, when listing noted that nothing is missing. 2 - Missing all clips for roof sunscreen 3 - Missing strap on pelican wallet, when picture shows strap attached. 4 - AirPod case initial of original owner written all over case and clip is broken. 5 - Steamer not operational 6 - Steamer missing accessories There are several items I was looking for here, but now decided to just buy an Amazon and not deal with the nonsense to save a few $'s. read more

How have I not heard of Nellis Auction before?!?! My new shopping obsession. The past week I have purchased several items. I love finding something I wanted and getting it for less than fraction of the price. So far I had great success in the items I won. 1 item out of 30-40 items I purchased was returned due to damaged and not as detailed. However everything else was described and pictures matched. Also when paying you select your time of pick up. I swear the ones delivering your items to you are definitely robots. It's humanly impossible to get in and out in the time they do it. Yesterday and most of the week I have been on line with Nellis. They have good deals but their reputation with me isn't good right now. I can't even log on since they can't locate my account that I used all week. I have pickups for things that i won but their entire operation seems to be run by AI. Human interaction is absent along with customer service. If you have a question, it wants you to look up your answer in their list which doesn't always apply. If they can't even use my name, address, and telephone number to find me, then really they aren't any help at all. I have clicked on their help links and get the run around that are plain useless. Make sure you look at the pictures no matter if you only choose the new things because the words are often misleading. Another thing, if you see a picture with just one product, no matter if it says it's a dozen of them, you're only getting that one product. Lots of things aren't as described like a 15' by 7' roll of artificial grass that's really just 3 feet long that i can pick up with one hand. I have won many bargains there but recently, the schedule times are fewer, there's more products, but seemingly less employees. This is 100% on me. I keep shopping here hoping for better, but I'd say about 60-70% of the time, the items are not as described or damaged. I already know this but keep coming back! It's insane, I admit. When so much of their merchandise is not as described, what's really going on is that Nellis is making the customer an unpaid employee to catalogue these damages for them when they bring them back as returns. This review is because I bought an expensive item that was described as having no damage and when I get it home -- not even opening it -- I notice hand written on the side "CRACKED" right on the box. How did Nellis not see this? This item looks like Lowe's return and the prior owner wrote "cracked" on the box to help others... except... Nellis failed to note it in the auction. --SEE UPLOADED PHOTO-- So, shop at your risk with the understanding that you will be the unpaid help, helping them catalogue the damage that their staff seems to either not see or work too fast to actually accomplish. read more

Fantastic for years but things have changed. :( We've bought from them in AZ for years and the products and service was always excellent. They used to be a gem of a business! Recently we purchased over 25 items and about 1/3 of them had major problems we couldn't have seen without opening and assembling everything immediately or the boxes didn't contain what was listed in the auction. Entirely our fault for believing the labels on the boxes. Missing a few parts here and there is to be expected with the volume they do, we don't expect perfection when the discounts are good. Unfortunately, these items were non-functional, grossly mislabeled, and/or unable to be used. Contacted Nellis within 2 weeks of picking the items up and they sent a nonsensical reply (see image). The response says we are outside the 7 day window and thus ineligible for returns. Then they explain how to return the items?? Their customer service ignored everything in our email: the excessive weight of the mislabeled items, our being 7+ hours away, etc. Things have changed with Nellis unfortunately. Be VERY careful and open every item and inspect thoroughly when you pick up or you are out of luck. Their lack of accuracy isn't considered a problem any more. read more

I was spending around $2,000/month at Nellis Auction (Mesa & Phoenix). I finally deleted my account because the same thing kept happening over and over--and customers eat the cost every time. What I keep running into (multiple instances): Items advertised as "5-Star" show up broken, incomplete, or barely working. Refunds crawl: "3-5 business days to process" plus "3-5 business days to credit." Tickets get marked "resolved" while the money isn't back yet; I've had to chase refunds to see them. Relist happens fast: I return today, I see the same item back up tomorrow--now downgraded to "damaged" or "parts missing." So the system moves at lightning speed when it benefits them, and snail speed when it should pay the customer back. I've seen refunds take 8+ days unless I follow up--repeatedly. While funds are tied up, I can't pay for other wins--account penalties hit because their delay blocked my payment. Add in gas, time, and sometimes truck/U-Haul rentals to pick up and then return defective goods--those costs land on the buyer, not Nellis. And when a buyer can't return (it's too far, not worth a rental, or time is tight), Nellis keeps the full, inflated payment on an item that never matched "5-Star" in the first place. Ratings versus reality: On 8/18/25, I personally received a message from Damien Mingarelli (Marketing Director) offering $5 credit for posting a Google review. No disclosure. To me, that explains how the star rating stays shiny while so many real experiences look like mine. Kevin Horton (CFO) -- manages refund timelines and practices that hold customer funds while buyers have no product. Damien Mingarelli (Marketing Director) -- runs review-incentive pushes that keep ratings high without telling the whole story. How it plays out, again and again: 1. List it "5-Star." 2. Buyer overpays based on the label. 3. Buyer discovers defects/missing parts. 4. Return starts, refund drags (unless chased). 5. Same item relisted fast with new wording. 6. Some buyers don't return (distance/cost), and Nellis keeps the full payment. 7. Ratings stay padded by incentivized reviews. I'm in touch with other frequent buyers seeing the same pattern. Everytime I buy curtains from Nellis, the listing says 2 panels and I only ever get 1 panel... what am I supposed to do with 1 curtain panel? Do not buy curtains from them. Other issues - their items are dirty when purchased. Is anything checked before they list it? Doesn't seem like it. read more

This is the Mesa location for pickup. See also my review on the Phoenix location, but this is one of the places for pickup after you win a bid on their website. It's like eBay except when you win it doesn't get shipped to you, you have to go pick it up. This warehouse is located SE of the lower Loop 202 corner near the Bell Bank park out toward Queen Creek. You there off 202 on the Hawes exit. If you set your pickup date and time for Saturday, be prepared to wait in a line (see photo). It took me about 20 mins to get in after getting there. But during the week pick up is very quick. We bought beds and bed frames for an apartment (see photo) and got great deals. Less than 50% of retail prices. Again the descriptions can sometimes be inaccurate but they are very good about accepting returns. Some people check out the items before they leave since both this location and the Phoenix location are far out there. Just see where the item is located when you are bidding so you know which location you need to go to get your item because they do not move the item to help you out. horrible customer service, bought a light and the battery wouldn't hold a charge, wanted to keep the light and see, if possible, to work on a resolution for the battery? did the chat right on the product purchase and was told someone would get right back the next day submitted a ticket describing the issue, never heard back, I then called the customer service line all automated you can't actually speak to a person, left a message. and what do you know after seven days of this I received an email that I missed my return date. so, beware I'm sure this is normal practice. read more

Update to my previous review which was 5 stars. Nellis in the last couple days has changed their bidding format-no longer starting bid at $1 (even though their website still says that), to minimum bid anywhere between $3-$6. This was all done without any prior notification to people bidding - I was bidding on things every day, picking up approx 20-30 items a week. I will no longer support a business that uses deceitful business practices and I hope no one else will support that either. If you are going to change the platform-maybe you should have thought about notifying your customers? Obviously, customers don't matter-money in their pocket is what matters! read more

Today should be 0 stars!!! Been a customer for a 5+ years and would have previously rated them good but they are constantly changing rules and not notifying customers and even their employees of new rules and protocol. Management at this location is certainly lacking and a few are even completely downright rude and dismissive with no customer service tack at all. For your sake, don't ask to leave boxes from your newly unboxed items at the warehouse even though for 5+ years this has been the norm. Most employees even gladly take them from you voluntarily. Told numerous times that they reuse them!! Rude employee that helps park cars told me I was not allowed to leave them today and then manager told me that employees would never allow boxes to be left and don't voluntarily take them to dispose. Maybe they should check their video footage and see that this happens hundreds of times a day. If this is protocol, why doesn't everyone know this and why am I called a liar for bringing to their attention that this has always been the normal before today? Totally missing the mark on customer service and rudeness to the folks that make them who they are! read more

Bought a car refrigerator. They said new in box, the box was trashed. They said it was new, it had many exterior scratches. On the inside it had Food particles, and scratches from aluminum can contact. They said it had no missing parts, no cord to plug it in. The Bluetooth won't connect. One star is too much. Gas is too expensive to spend a day driving back and forth to be ripped off, lied to and bent over. Shame on you. Never again will I shop there and certainly never recommend them read more

The team that works there are so kind and once you're checked in your items come out instantly. My longest wait may have been just under 10 minutes and that was because I went during a busy time. Don't like the changes. No more 1$ minimum bid. Will no longer be using. customer service also just changed from having phone reps to being done through email. I spent double just because of minimum bids being higher when I was the first bidder. Selection has also been poor. Lots of bad quality items, hiked retail price reported so you think you're getting a better deal than you are, damaged caused by Nellis employe knives. I've officially picked up my last order from Nellis Auction and I am so sad about it. This place used to be the best. I have returned every single purchase I have made in the past few weeks (over 50) due to poor quality, missing pieces and inaccurate descriptions. I triple check every listing description before bidding and still pick up useless products every time. On top of that, they have implemented a new "minimum bid price" which doubles the prices of the useless items. It is simply not worth bidding anymore. I am giving stars to the pick up employees.
