I just tried this place for the first time on Saturday. It is very close to my house and apparently they've been open for business for a couple of months. Who knew?! Anyway, this is just another fast food burger joint... nothing special. I had their basic cheeseburger. It was good, not great. Their onion rings were good, but again, nothing to rave about. The one standout at this place is the ice cream. I had a vanilla shake and it was very good. So thick, I had to eat with a spoon. Try it if you must. Food is great, customer service sucks! Placed an order and I was in lunch hour, I didn't get half of the order, I emailed the company, the owner called me and said he wanted to apologize, but it he left it in a vm. I went back to the store, I told the employee, he ROLLED HIS EYES and moved his shoulders like he didn't give a f*.... So I called back to the manager, he didn't reply. Never eating here again. Its clear why they always have a different manager so often because the ones they hire are incapable providing customer service. I called in upset that after triple checking that my food was correct I got all the way home and my order was so wrong. How can you get a butter burger w cheese add bacon mixed up with a double bacon deluxe burger? I was overcharged for food I didn't even want and on top of that the food I asked for them to remove was still on my burger. You would think that I should be refunded right? Nope. I called to complain and was given an attitude maybe because he had to work on new year's eve who knows but it was uncalled for. I went to the store to get my refund & I was required to return the food........ that's not even sanitary for one and during a pandemic extremely so. In food service you're not allowed to take a customers lid off let alone ask for food back. So I was refused a refund and I will never on my life eat here again. I'm also putting in a complaint to corporate on behalf on the manager for not taking care of this situation and another complaint to the health department for his unsanitary restaurant practices. It's unfortunate because the company itself is cool but this ONE a manger ruined my experience forever. read more

My husband went to the drive through tonight to pick up some food, and he told the employee that he wanted onion rings. Before he paid and left, he asked another employee if onion rings were included, and he was told yes. When he got home, he found out that he was given French fries instead. It was too far and too much trouble to go back. This is the second time this happened. This is the location on West Hillsborough in Tampa. The rest of the food was fine. read more

Went to Culver's for the first time. Food was good. Fast food feel but a nice change from McDonalds and Burger King.

First time I tried this place. The Fish was very oily. The chocolate Malt was a shake. But tasted chalky towards the end of it. Way to pricy for this neighborhood. I ordered the cod deluxe and thought I could get a better plate and cheaper at long john silvers. One hamburger one cod sandwich and one cod dinner. $30.00 to much. read more

I love this Culver's! The staff is super friendly and the burgers never disappoint! Everything is fresh - made to order then and there. I usually get the crinkle cut fries and my husband gets the onion rings, but the fried cheese curds are awesome and hot off the fryer. I highly recommend this place! Cheers! read more

Culvers on East Bay Drive Largo, Fl. Food is good, I wish I could say the same about the service. How difficult is it to get an order right? The order is on the computer screen and printed on the receipt, yet servers still leave out sides, and cocktail sauce. It does not matter the time of day either. I was just given spoiled fish at Culvers and with only one bite I already suffering the effects of food poisoning. The person claiming to be the owner refused to take responsibility saying he was only concerned with the events that occurred after the fish was returned and all their food was properly kept. Fried cheese curds.....OMG.....best thing ever. I never liked mozzarella sticks but these soar above the tradition fried sticks. The breading is flavorful and salted perfectly. Yummy warm cheese goodness. I have also had the grilled chicken sandwich which was a nice sized piece of real chicken. Hamburgers were large and flavorful. Culver's is our favorite Fast Food Restaurant, the burgers fresh and juicy. While I am not at all fan of frozen fries, they're Crinkle Cut are just OK. I like Five Guys Fries much better. I don't know why they have frozen fries at Culver's when everything else is so fresh. However, I still gave 5 stars, because the rest makes up for it. The Service at this particular location was excellent. They have all very young employees, and they could not have been more polite and respectful and helpful..I had to give 5 Stars for Service alone. They even bring your food to your table and anything else you want. You can't go there without indulging in dessert, I had the Frozen Lemon with Raspberries (Lactose Intolerant) It was refreshing and delicious. My Husband had the Frozen Custard w/Hot Caramel Sundae, also just delicious. I highly recommend. They even send coupons to your email. read more

Although the food is decent for fast food I would never go back to this location or probably Culver's in general. I signed up for their email notices and received a nice coupon for a bogo basket. Their system for some reason printed the wrong store location on the coupon and my local store ( Hillsborough) flat out would not honor it. You have lost a customer for life over a coupon. Surprised at how good the food was. Culver's is similar to Steak n' shake, Dairy Queen, etc, except the food is a step or two above those places. I would not consider this to be a fast food restaurant. While the atmosphere is similar to DQ, Culver's is more of a modern diner with respect to the food. The menu is more like a Denny's or Apple Bees than it is typical fast food joint. I went through the drive through after 9:30 when they close at 10pm, placed a big order with no issues or attitude. Staff was nicer than most places. I was in and out in maybe 10 minutes. The food is is 100% made to order. No soggy fries or old stale buns. Everything was fresh, hot, and very good. I was also surprised to see how many items were on the menu. This is not a health food veagan restaurant. I'm sure you already figured that out before you order a burger and fries. The price is the higher than DQ or Steak N Shake but the food is that much better. Good in between fast food sit down restaurant. A MCD, BK, Wendy's meal is $5-$8. A meal at Culver's runs about $8-$11. A sit down restaurant will run you $14-$20 per person once you tip the server. The price is fair in my opinion. You always get what you pay for. I had been looking forward to trying Culver's for a few months but there aren't any too close to me. I finally got around to trying it and I just got a basic bacon deluxe cheeseburger. First off there was no bacon secondly the burger tasted burnt I took 2 bites and threw it away. I am a big fast food eater and I would prefer Steak n Shake any day. read more

Went there on a Sunday around 6 PM. No one was in the drive-through so we were excited. Ordered cheese curds and two mini custards. Pulled up with the number thing on our door like we were told. One by one other people started to line up behind us. One by one the young man started handing bags to every car but ours. It had been a generous 15 minutes as we're watching everyone else get served. Finally we yelled to the young man because he never acknowledged us and we told him we had been waiting at least 15 minutes. He acted surprised and set he will check on our order. He never came back out. A young woman came out and said our order had been lost and she handed us two melted custards, apologized and gave us a coupon for a free custard. We told her we ordered curds too. She went back in and came out with the curds about 3 minutes later. The curds were cold and the custards were melted. I'd say it was a pretty terrible experience and waste of time. Needless to say, we will not go back. read more

The place to go for cheese curds!!! Wisconsin flavor throughout the large menu options including butter burgers and fried fish (North Atlantic Cod). This is my favorite fast food joint. Honestly, it's all about the flavors of the day and the cheese curds. I do wish they had a smaller portion of cheese curds for sale... I always overdo it when I buy them, and they do not microwave well if you try to save them. I have yet to try everything on the menu, but everything I have tried has been good quality delicious. Stopped in for lunch today, had a great dinner there Wednesday evening. Ordered the fried chicken sandwich and was very pleased! The sandwich and seemingly the fries were made to order as they were both very hot. The lettuce and tomato on the sandwich were fresh and generous. Just ate here, the food is all fresh made when you order it, never frozen. The owner, Steven, was very kind and gave us a synopsis of the culver's franchise. The servers were also a level above fast food competitors; offered free ice cream just because my order of onion rings was late. Would recommend to anyone looking for great burger and even better custard accompanied by exemplary service. I have never done a review before but this place honestly deserves it, unlike impulsive customers (Kevin J below) who would attempt to tear apart a business because he or she failed to understand a coupon. In this new day and age of technology seems like people can destroy businesses with little grounds for doing so other than their cruel impulsive nature. We took a detour on the way back to Orlando with Dad (who is from Wisconsin). Steven, the store owner introduced himself and told us all about Culver's. Everything is fresh, even the cod is not breaded until ordered. Butter burgers were all great! The frozen custard is delicious! Let me start by saying that me and the wife always drive on Hillsborough all the time. So when we saw that this place was being built in Dec and read their reviews we had to go. Today we decided to pull the trigger and try it out. We decided to order to go my wife ordered the chicken dinner meal with Cole slaw and cheese balls and a custurd ice cream Sunday lol. I ordered the butter bacon double burger deluxe with fries. Oh and by the way they make the food fresh as soon as you place your order and they give you a number card to place on your dashboard so once the food is ready one of the employees comes to your car to hand you your food very nice. So when we got home to open our food one of the drive though employees forgot to two side items we ordered the coleslaw and the fries. My wife called the resturant spoke with the manager. The manager kinda said that is not a problem bring back the reciept and we will give you the missing sides. So I drive back to the resturant witch is 10 mins from my house. The manager noticed me right away and was super friendly and nice and apologized for the order. So for the mistake beside giving me the missing sides he gave me a complimentary free butter buger card that I can use on my next order now I'm happy. OK so on to the food the chicken was juicy flavorful, had a nice crunch to it and the pieces were huge no small chicken here it's there own recipe never had their chicken before. It was really good the wife loved it. As for My burger think of Steak and Shake on steroid but bigger like the size of a whopper but way better and the butter bun really complemented the buger. It was juicy, flavorful one the best burgers I had in awhile and we all know Tampa is not known for making great burgers you have travel and find a good place that makes them like 5 guys or Johnny Rockets. All the sides were great and the custurd was amazing. I highly recommend to try this place out I can see why it's always packed. Culver's has the best double cheeseburger of anyone in fast food. I have eaten at most of the prime contenders - countless times at In-N-Out and Fatburger for instance - and I prefer Culver's by a considerable margin over the others. I was excited to see one under construction in my parents' neighborhood the last time I visited Tampa and hope they can keep up the same quality while they expand out of the Midwest. I used to love Steak and Shake but when they started competing with McDonald's it got bad and this is a huge cut above that. Fast food style. I guess it is a chain. Freindly staff, not overbearing.  They ocasionally wandered the restuarant, cleaning and interacting with cusomers. My chicken burger was tasty.  The breading was crunchy and easy to bite, with a distinct flavour.  French fries were ok.  Shakes look good, I didn't try. Also serves ice cream, I think various flavours. Overall impression was Culver's is a cut above your average fastfood place.  My experience was good enough that I would actively seek one out. read more
