Was able to take that home. You also get a custard with the kids meal. My son had a chicken sandwich meal. I had a spoonful of mint oreo flavor of the day and he had the rest. I'm glad this place is open until 11 pm. They will probably print money after the Amplitheater opens for shows. read more

The hamburger was decent and tasted better than what I was expecting. The French fries were whatever but the concrete shakes were the show stealer. I would come back just for the concrete shakes (frozen custard). Customer service was very hospitable and I like the atmosphere with the picture and decorations. I've dined at many different Culver's but none can compare to the service I've received here in Shakopee. Shout out to Susy for going above and beyond and making sure we had everything we wanted. Let me start off by saying I totally wanted to give this place 5 stars. Everything was superb up until we were ready to leave. The food was great, the staff was super friendly, the place was clean, prices are pretty good. This Culver's in particular has troubles with one particular thing- their parking lot. Yep, their parking lot was a nightmare. We were barely able to find a spot to park when we arrived, but of course when we were trying to leave there were too many cars were backing up and honking at each other, confused at where to go and getting mixed up with the cars in line for the drive thru. Long story short we were not able to get out of their parking lot without entering the drive thru line!! We literally couldn't budge for about 5 minutes because the line wasn't moving. I finally rolled down the window when I saw a staff member in the lot and said "we're not even in the drive thru, how can we get out??", so he moved some cones around and was able to shuffle us through along with others who were probably in the same boat. Not the worst Culver's I've ever had, but not the best either. The parking lot was insane...no one wanting to wait for other drivers to move out of their parking spaces. We should have just done the drive-thru, but I wanted to relax a few minutes outside on the patio. The place was packed. We stopped after the Renaissance Festival and it looked like a lot of patrons had the same idea. As well as families & staff from Valleyfair. Staff were really fun and easy to talk to. Staff also worked fast, drive-thru went quickly. Space was neat and clean. Even on its busier days, you'll have more than enough space to move around while you order and eat. Fountain drink space is a bit small so you'll have to wait to have patience while you get your beverages. Establishment is easy to find, it's off a major road, construction happening now but it should be easy to find after it's done. My onion rings were a bit stale, like they were sitting out for awhile but my burger was fresh. Overall it was a great experience, I'm coning back for more. read more

Always great service and that why this place is usually hoping during meal times. I avoid this place during meal times. The lines for drive thru can end up around the building into the street. I don't like their butter burgers because they are super greasy.. obviously the butter is fried in. I think if you love butter this is your spot! I do love their fried cheese curds and fries. WYATT, exhausted after a long day traveling, ate happily and contented. nine-year old JULIANA's going thru a chili phase. after ordering a chili cheese dog for lunch, she tried a bowl of CHILI for dinner. solid, standard bowl of meat, beans (obviously not a TEXAS version) and seasonings. dad had a salad, STRAWBERRY FIELDS (greens, chicken, blue cheese, strawberries, pecans and cherry tomatoes with a raspberry vinaigrette) in what i am finding to be the midwest style -- lots and lots of toppings (like a couple handfuls of pecans) and almost no greens. The food tasted fresh and, as a fan of butter burgers, was just the thing I needed. The restaurant itself was clean as were the restrooms. Let me start by saying we are from California so This was our first Culver's experience. First off this place is the cleanest friendliest Fast food place I've ever been to. We had asked what makes it a butter Burger? We got that look of "where are you from" Josh then explained and we placed our order. He was very friendly and helpful, every employer needs people like Josh. Marly even walks the restaurant asking how it was and if you need anything. Now the burgers, fries, malts, and custard are what I always imagined my parents got to enjoy back in the 50's. We liked it so much we stopped by 3 times on our 9 day vacation. I was here for a American Diabetes Fundraiser where this location gave back 10% of it's receipts to the American Diabetes and it didn't cost the customer ANY extra. I don't often go to Culver's but this one had a nice, homey feel. Nice, soft paintings, a fireplace that was very clean. It seems like everyone at this location is genuinely interested in making customers happy. This reflects well on how they are trained, I suppose. Ruben and his team are always looking out for the customers' best interest, and it seems like everyone enjoys working for him. We are always greeted with a smile, and Ruben always walks around making sure each customer is taken care of. It seems like there are always new items to try, and though we love our favorites, one of us always ventures out and tries the latest Culvers creation. Great stuff! Okay so this is fast food. However, This is also some pretty good food. They offer a lot of different choices than your traditional fast food establishment. The price is my only complaint which seems odd as a complaint, as this is a fast food restaurant. The coolest thing I saw however, was several, what seemed to be 10-14 yr olds working. Not sure if it was volunteer work or what the deal was. But any place that teaches children to respect a dollar earned is well worth my time and should be for yours.
