Meh. Go for the ice cream and skip the food. The cod fish sandwich was very small in a thick bun (remember those "where's the beef?" commercials?) and it was extremely bland. Onion rings were decent but I would have appreciated being told there was a $1 upcharge for onion rings. Bacon cheeseburger wasn't any better than other fast food joints. Their version of DQ's Blizzard is good with a nice selection of items to blend in - syrups, fruits and candies. On a positive note, the dining room is nice looking and very clean. read more

Want some good food from a fast food restaurant during these times! Then give Culver's a try! Jo (my wife) had an errand in Pooler and decided to get something to eat (or maybe that was the errand as we hadn't eaten out in over a week ). Craving fish on a Friday we tried Captain D's and the line was long so we opted Culver's instead. Culver's is a Wisconsin based chain that we had tried before when my daughter lived outside of Milwaukee. They are known for their custard that they have flavors of the day. They had two kinds of fish on their menu, cod and walleye the latter being a fresh water fish that is commonly caught up north that is pretty tasty. I had some on a Canadian fishing trip last year and knew the fish well. We ordered the two piece dinner, mine with fries and coleslaw and hers with onion rings and slaw. We both ordered iced tea with extra lemons and tartar sauce. We did order the a single cup of the chocolate toffee custard, cause well, we had to as we needed more comfort food! The line only was three cars long and we made it thru quickly, but they told us to pull over and they would bring us our dinners. They did give us our ice cream and iced teas with lemons which Jo said she was going to eat hers first anyway (we couldn't let it melt see...). So we didn't have the problem of which would not be optimum temperature as when we finished our custard our food was ready and delivered to our car (honestly it wasn't a long wait as we enjoying the vanilla custard topped with chocolate toffee crumbles). The food came with utensils, large sealed containers of tartar sauce (not a flimsy little pack). The portions were huge and I was happy I did not order the three filet option. The fish were full fried filets and much larger than u would get at any other fast food restaurant. It was good tasting walleye as well, served hot as it should be. We ate in a shady part of the parking lot and enjoyed some of the good things in life. We had forgotten how nice it was to eat out and we had been accustomed to it, which now a rare treat to be savored and enjoyed. Food 4 - Everything was hot and good tasting a cut above fast food. The custard was a tasty treat but not awesome or super special other than we got some! Service 4 Giving us the custard and teas made our wait really nice! The only thing they missed was ketchup (I did not ask for it so it's on me) for my fries or the rings, which we enjoyed without for a change. Atmosphere 5 That day sitting in a shady parking lot out of the house with food we didn't have to make in a pandemic. Oh, The little things in life are so nice! Price 3.5-4.5 We knew what we wanted and didn't look at the prices. Our bill was a little over $30 for our meals and the custard. Which I thought initially was a little high. We knew Culver's from previous visits (years ago, different state). We came to treat our children and indulge us of course. Food was delicious, service was good, front line service at the register needs improvement. Also no receipt unless requested. First visit, it was quite busy. We had to clean our own table in order to sit down, which right now is not cool. Prices are reasonable by all means but the quality is not that great. Ordered a mushroom Swiss burger, a little disappointing. Three stars because the cheese bites and onion rings were pretty good. The drive-thru was wrapped around the parking lot when we left... Heard great things about this place so I definitely had to give it a try. The place is very nice, lots of places to sit and lots of options to choose from on the menu. You get good portions of food for what you pay. The staff is very friendly and provide quick service even when there's a lot of people here. My friends and I came to Culver's specifically for their cheese curds but obviously we all ordered our regular meals. I hadn't been to Culver's in years since I moved from Michigan so I was super excited and my expectations were through the roof because in Michigan culvers is the best! They outside of the building the employees the menu the smell is all the same when I walk in so I was very excited. We placed our order and waited at our table for the food to be called. When we got the food I think we were all a little disappointed. The cheese curds we're not fresh at all they literally tasted like string cheese deep-fried but it kept the string cheese firmness like when you get it out of the fridge. Aka they were sitting around.. The fries were piping hot so I have no complaints there they were very delicious crispy etc. my burger was fine and maybe my memory is mistaken but I just remember culvers burgers having a lot more flavor and being very cheesy and delicious. So ultimately I was a little let down and disappointed. I don't think I've ever said that about any restaurant I've been to so I feel very lame saying that lol but coming from Washington where we didn't have a culvers I was just over the moon excited to eat here again just to be let down. But don't think for one minute I'm not going to give them another chance. I will definitely be back maybe during a busier time of the day so I know food is a little bit more fresh and try it out again for round two. read more

Worst. Culver's. Ever. So the fam and I stopped by after an evening of shopping across the street at the mall. We got the order together and waited for the one cashier to finish expediting the previous 3 orders and stepped up to place our order. After some confusion from the mumbling Aussie trying to take everything down (apparently American cheese sounded like mac and cheese to him), we got everything placed and went to get our drinks. A reasonable amount of time later, he called our number and we collected our bag. Bag singular. A salad, 3 sandwiches, chicken strips, large onion ring, 2 orders of cheese curds. All in one big overflowing bag. We headed out to continue shopping and to eat in the car. The pork sandwich was chewy and plain (the order taker didn't ask what we wanted on it), the burgers were ok, the onion rings were over cooked to the point of being hard, the salad was passable, the curds didn't even get finished. The sweet tea was good though, so there's that. All in all, it was a $55 meal that could have been outdone by a $20 meal from McDonald's. Definitely had better before at multiple Culver's. We will most likely not be returning to this location, as there are so many other places to eat close by. read more

First time at Culver's! The place was clean and staff was friendly. The seating area seemed well up kept. I decided to try the basic burger with onion rings, my husband got the chicken tenders and fries. (This is fast food so I am comparing this to other fast food places) The burger was clearly fresh and tasty. My onion rings were fantastic- not too big and nicely crispy. The chicken tenders were also fresh and hubby says they were good (he can be a bit of a chicken tender snob). It was a little pricier than other fast food places. If $= clean and fresh I'll pay it. We also got the ice cream. I tried the flavor of the day which was a lemon concoction and Hubby got a strawberry milkshake. There are real strawberries in the milkshake so that is a huge plus. My treat hit the spot with a good complement of flavors. We will come here again, probably with the kids in tow. If you need a quick bite in Pooler this is a good spot. read more

Honestly, Wendys hamburgers taste better and even though I love crinkle fries, theirs had no salt or taste really. Now onto my biggest drive thru pet peeve... asking me to pull up and wait for my food... blind rage & the fact that they have a number system makes it worse that this was the plan from the start. Culver's was a pleasant surprise. I decided to go through the drive through which was quick and easy. The lady who took my order was very pleasant and friendly and answered my questions thoroughly. I've never been before so I did have a few questions. I decided to go with the cod fish sandwich with fries and a vanilla blizzard with snickers and brownies. I paid at the window and had to pull over and wait for my order. I loved that because I knew the food would be fresh. My blizzard was delicious! The custard was so yummy and creamy. I was pleasantly surprised about the cod fish sandwich. The fish was so fresh!!! It's nothing like what you get at other fast food restaurants. The crinkle fries were also very good. I took my mother here for her birthday as I truly enjoyed the Culver's I visited about five times in Wisconsin last year. I was pleasantly surprised to hear that they were coming to Pooler and Savannah in July. I ordered a kids mea for my mother and I, she enjoyed her double bacon cheeseburger with everything and I had two chicken tenders in my meal. It tasted just like it did up north. The prices are about the same, except that they don't include a free mix-in with the kid meals, which I really didn't need anyway. Even though it was fairly busy as everything on Pooler Parkway is, they were fairly quick at getting us our meal. The server who gave us our frozen custards took our placard, which made it difficult for the server with our food to find us, but hiccups are to be expected. Great restaurant and I look forward to going to the one in Savannah when it opens. read more

I had the spicy chicken sandwich that was decent, though mostly the same as Chick Fil A and not spicy from what I could distinguish. The food is priced ok. Let me say, I'm honored to write the 1st review! Culver's recently opened up across the street from my job. I've had my eyes on them for a few days and decided to drop in today. I was not disappointed. I had a double cheese burger, fry, and a sweet tea. It was all quality, very impressed with the bun especially. Service was awesome, and they have free WiFi too! I'll have to try the ice cream on my next trip there. I thought the prices would be higher, but they are actually cheaper than a place like 5 guys, so that's a plus. Will be back! read more
