I went here just last night and I can tell you the service isn't the greatest, as the runners aren't even looking at the tickets for custard items. Which brings me to my custard order, I ordered a medium sub chocolate concrete mixer with peanut butter cups and peanut butter sauce, when they brought it out mind you after the food, I had about an inch on the surface of the custard with just candies and peanut butter sauce. The people working on desserts didn't even bother to actually mix in the candies with the blender. works. your managing and your workers because they quite frankly did not get trained well enough. read more

Generally Culver's is a step above the other fast food restaurants but tonight I had a terrible experience! I came in for a scoop of chocolate in a dish and used a free one scoop coupon from the kids meal, after sitting 10 minutes or more, the entire group of employees stood doing nothing but standing and talking loudly about nonsense while my son in law and I sat with the #25 tent card at our table while 5 or 6 juveniles stood talking stupid and doing nothing as we sat waiting. It kept getting longer and longer and nothing ever came out! We then got up and walked out while all the employees stood there and said nothing! No trying to help or try to rectify the situation, it was amazing how unconcerned the employees acted, hopefully the video from 4/19/25 approx 10:00 pm can be reviewed for improving the poor customer service or lack there of! I'm putting this baby on the map! I am working at the University of Wisconsin for a week. What to do???? My boss recommended the frozen custard which was pretty good. I think it was a notch up from mc d's ice cream. It was much creamier. What I didn't prepare myself for was the DELICIOUS Fish and Chips I had for dinner. Huge succulent pieces of cod hit the spot. Awesome. We love Culvers. We wish there were more locations. Koeller st can get crazy, but this location is closer to 20th than 9th, go that way on the frontage road. They make great grilled cheese, chili, and my fav are the concrete shakes (chocolate please!) We like the fries, onion rings & cheese curds (in that order-fries are the best). Parking is part of a great big lot. Plenty of room, even some trees for the summer sun. read more

Butter burger and chocolate malt from frozen custard -- so good I had to have that meal twice in three days (and a malt on it's own in the middle). Four versus five stars only because they had so many people it was hard to get around, find a place to wait for your malt, etc. They do bring your order to your table if you're eating in. Horrible service! The bottom line is who ever owns this culvers needs to hire extra staff since this place is packed evenings with senior citizens. Our group from work stopped in approximately 7:00 p.m. recently for dessert we waited in line for about 20 minutes and then waited an additional 40 minutes to get our food... this is unacceptable. I do not blame the staff because they all did a great job tring to keep up with the rush. All the employees were extremely friendly and helpful. And also the food was good the problem is getting served. We ran into the same issue at the Appleton location. I'm glad Culver's is a successful business but this is a simple issue that could be fixed by hiring more staff to work in the kitchen and the counter in order to get the food out to the clients faster.... having to wait an hour is ridiculous. The next time we feel like ice cream there are other fast food chains that we hit that are faster. Everywhere I turn people are looking for a job, please hire more staff! read more

To me Culvers is about family, local, fresh fast food. But the owners live part time in AZ and I think I've been to their store more times then they have. They couldn't get a take out order right if they tried! Third time I have gotten the wrong order or something was missing. Tonight order shrimp and got chicken tenders! For price and what they offer in their format. 5 Stars all the way. Everything I have ever had from this Culvers and other locations has been perfect. Hot, Fresh, cooked perfectly and always exactly how I ordered it. Never had any service issues. One complaint is parking lot gets very busy and often buses stop at this Culvers. Really sucks if you have a craving for it and there's 50 people waiting to order. Usually skip it when that happens. Frozen Custard. Awesome and very delicate and tasty. Not sure how anyone could ever say otherwise, they must not like frozen custard otherwise. Leon's still has a slightly better custard and i'll support them too. Culver's Onion rings are awesome. Perfect batter, not crumbly like the typical onion ring, very tasty. This location is now open again after a remodel and have eaten there twice this week. I love these burgers. Right now they have pub burger limited time only that is just amazing and I would say one of my favorite burgers all time. If you have not tired this yet, do your self a favor and go now. Also I love the cheese curds here, really good.
