Everything I have ordered either is overcooked or undercooked. I spent too much money on 4 tries.

The drink menu is great, albeit a little pricey, and the patio is a fantastic spot to sit back, have a drink, and watch the water traffic go by. That's about where the good things end. My wife ordered the ribeye, which at $48 was pretty underwhelming. At that price, you'd expect at least a side salad to be included. They also don't offer mushrooms with their steaks, which seems like a strange omission. The steak was at least edible. I can't say the same for the two perch dinners we ordered. I'm honestly not sure there were actual fish fillets hiding underneath all the breading. You could literally pull chunks of breading off that had no fish attached to them. Once you finally made your way through the breading and found the fish, the fillets were extremely thin and cooked to the point of being dry. If you're a restaurant located right on the water and perch is a regular menu item, you'd think you'd have that one figured out. We also ordered the homemade potato chips as an appetizer. They came with a tiny container of dip and were, at best, pretty average. So, to sum it up: great location, nice atmosphere, good drink menu (although a bit pricey), and food that is a big "meh." For the $155 we spent, including tip, I expected considerably more. The waterfront view is nice, but unfortunately, you're paying for the view more than the food.

I was impressed with all the beer taps. Was very happy with their beer selections. I had Karben 4's Fantasy Factory, and a sour/tart beer - the name is slipping my mind. If you don't like standing shoulder to shoulder with strangers, they have stairs that lead to and upstairs area. It makes a cool view for watching the band as they do have a dedicated stage for bands that works nicely for a typical four piece band. The sound was decent too, which helped with the overall positive experience. My friend told me the bar is connected to the Varsity Club (owned by the same person) and that's a place to go for pool. Another get away space if you're feeling a little congested. A nice bar for downtown Oshkosh.

Frustrated by Lack of Notice on 21+ Policy…read more We drove down from Appleton to hear a friend perform with the Jazz Orgy and were excited for a night of live music. After paying for parking and walking in, we were told we had to leave because we're under 21. Legally, we've since learned that Wisconsin doesn't allow anyone under 21 in bars without a food license -- so the venue was within its rights. But there were no signs, no online notice, and no mention in the event info about this policy. We weren't there to drink -- just to enjoy the music and support a friend. I understand the legal restriction, but the lack of communication made the experience frustrating and disappointing. A simple heads-up on the website or social media would have gone a long way.
