We were in town from Chicago and saw that Culvers was right next to our hotel so I decided to do a quick ice cream run to celebrate the Cowboys win! The line was long but I got to the window within 10 minutes. I ordered a vanilla cone and a concrete mixer - that's all. They hand me the vanilla cone and tell me my mixer will be out. I waited a total of 45 minutes for ONE SMALL CONCRETE MIXER while all the cars ahead of and behind me got their 2 bags of food within 15 mins. The girl running food out noticed I had been waiting a while and came to check in. By then, my husbands ice cream cone was melting and started dripping in my car so i opened the door. She took the cone for me to make a new one since I asked. Came back and said they lost my order. Instead of sending a manager out like they should've, they sent this poor teenager out so I made sure she knew I wasn't frustrated with her. She comes out with a new cone (partially melting) and my concrete mixer - or should i say chocolate shake....And a coupon for a free mixer. I understand it was busy but ONE concrete mixer. read more

Always good burgers, and custard for the money. Good stop for a trip to MSU, very close to the freeway, right outside the university. I had a custard, which was an excellent! It was thick with a creamy richness in every spoonful. There was no reason for me to get a medium, that was just greed, small for my weight is more than enough! read more

This was my first experience at a Culver's. I tried the cranberry bacon bleu salad and it was better than any salad that I've had in a long time. Much better than the $25 salad I had from a fancy restaurant a few days later. I didn't have the burger or fries but my kid enjoyed it. The onion rings were good, as well. We ordered online and chose curbside pickup. It took a while longer than I would have liked but they were overloaded with customers and my salad was so good, I gave a 5 star rating :) read more

Culver's is a fresh to order "fast food" restaurant. Meaning, it's not like McDonald's, Burger King, or the typical fast food joints -- which is a good thing. Yes, you will wait a little extra to get hot (or cold, if you're getting a shake, or other cold menu item), freshly made food (that you ordered), that is brought to your vehicle. Alternatively, you could go inside and dine in, if you're looking to stretch your limbs. The staff is friendly, polite, and reaffirm your order is to your liking, because face it, you're waiting a little extra for a fresh, prepared meal. If you're unfamiliar with Culver's drive-thru, you're handed a number card to put on your window/side of your car, and pull up to a designated waiting area; where once you're order is ready, you'll be given the goods, and they'll take their number card back. They have a wide selection of menu items, with some that change regularly, such as the featured menu items, their flavor of the day (ice cream and such), fish, chicken, or beef sandwich meals. They also have value baskets, combos, or you can just do a sandwich. Prices are reasonable, again, fresh made food. This particular location is also conveniently located off I-96, close to a newly built Sunoco/Jimmy Johns /Dunkin Donuts. So you can also gas up nearby while you're at it. The burger I ordered was the cheddar butterburger with bacon. It was hot off the grill, juicy, and fresh; especially, the crunch of the pickles, lettuce, onion, savory buttered bun, crispy bacon, and tender tomato. I used to work at a Culver's when I was a teenager. I know things might have changed since I was there, but I know that if you want to pick up your food fast, call ahead so they can serve you at the window. I gave them an ample 15 mins before I picked up my food, called ahead, ordered a burger with some adjustments and some onion rings. Onion rings take 2.5 mins to cook. Burgers even less if you do it right. Should be about 1-2 mins side one then 30 seconds on side two. Bread toasting takes longer if you do it wrong. If everything's working smoothly, I should have been able to get my food after driving 15 mins and go. Didn't get food till I waited another 15 min in the drive thru line. Don't know if it's poor time management, or just slow employees. Dinner rush on a Monday night shouldn't be that overwhelming for them. Good food, but probably gonna pass next time cuz of the wait. Semi-friendly staff, but the service is so so slow. I don't mind waiting a few minutes but damn! Cmon! I'm the only customer and it takes 10 minutes for a single burger and small fry. My sundae was small as f***, too. read more

Frequent customers for several yrs. Have ordered a variety of items. All items have been well prepared and consistent high quality. The cleanliness seems to be unusually high. During pandemic the wrkrs all wear masks and gloves. Most menu items are quickly produced. Limited indoor dining and restroom access until 8pm. The wrkrs are usually efficient, competent, and helpful. Apparently higher quality wrkrs (i.e. fewer tattoos, male nail polish, neat, clean). Update 06/25/21: Food quality still good. Service is spotty depending upon who is working. Some take-out orders have no napkins. One wmn wrkr speaks so fast, she is hard to understand. Dining room sign says open until 9pm. But they stop seating ppl at 8:30pm. Lobby and restrooms open until 9pm. Restaurant drive-thru open until 10pm. So not very customer friendly. Update: July 23, 2021- Very busy on a Friday @ 6:50pm. Drive-thru backed up abt 8 cars. Ate outside. Traffic ebbed & flowed. Have gotten Crispy Chicken sandwich today & recently. Very good sandwich. With: lettuce, tomato, & mayo. Can also get: onions & pickle. Got take-away packets of mayo, horseradish, & ketchup. Chicken patty is thinner than Popeye. But, Popeye only comes with mayo & 2 pickle slices. It's thicker, still a sandwich. Ordered inside to use restrooms. There were 7 EEs wrkng the counter, drive-thru & dining room. Men's room was dirty, trash bin full, etc. Told counter guy. Another wrkr, within mins, was seen chkng it out, cleaning in there, dining area & outside trash bins. They were on-the-ball. read more

Food is good. Its about as good as fast food gets (for me at least). Clean building and friendly staff.

Horrible. Visited on 02/08/20 and ordered 2 salads. Employee screwed up and didn't charge us for the grilled chicken on top, so the manager hunted us down and harassed us until we repaid for it. An employees slip up should not be thrown on the customer. Used to be a great restaurant a few years ago, but now staff is extremely unprofessional and ignores customers instead of making them the priority. Olivia H. The employees are so friendly and kind. On several occasions we have had above exceptional service. The food is always fresh and hot. The food in not as processed as tradional fast food places are and the food is tasty (& reasonably priced). This is a better choice for my family as opposed to McDonalds or similar places. Yes, it takes a lot longer to get your food here than at other "fast food" places, but it's generally worth the wait. Their fish and chips are among the best I've ever had anywhere, and everything else on the menu is a cut above places like McDonalds and Wendy's - in some cases way above. Service is always extremely friendly. My only complaint is I really don't care for their fries. I've never understood why places feel the need to put starch on their potatoes - a significant starch on their own. This makes them crispier, but greatly dilutes the taste. Other than that - Culver's is the best fast food around. read more
