I had a token and needed lunch so after a quick scan on Yelp, we decided to check out Ott Haus. And I was not disappointed. The building is cute and kinda small. It definitely had an older feel, kinda dive bar-ish but it was clean. They have bar seating, a handful of tables, and a beer garden area. It gets a little crowded pretty quickly so you may make some new friends if you share a table. The service was great and the owner was super nice. She answered questions and was very accommodating. They have New Glarus beer on tap, duh. But also domestics, cocktails, and soft drinks. I had a strawberry rhubarb beer from New Glarus and absolutely loved it. I also had a PBR which is my stand by. Based on the reviews, we had to try the cheese curds. They come with a dill ranch. They weren't greasy at all. They were lightly breaded and fried perfectly. The ranch was a tasty accompaniment. Highly recommend and would order again. For my entree, I ordered the Beer Cheese Bacon Burger: 1/2 pound burger cooked medium with beer cheese and bacon on a pretzel bun. This was probably my favorite meal of my Wisconsin vacation. The burger patty was delicious and seasoned well. The pretzel bun held everything together and paired perfectly with the creamy beer cheese sauce. The bacon was an added bonus. I opted for tater tots for a side and enjoyed dipping them in that extra beer cheese. This was seriously one of the best burgers I've eaten in a looooong time. It's probably good that I live 500 miles away because my waist line and wallet would take a beating. I highly recommend stopping in and grabbing a drink and food. I will be back the next time I'm in town.

He made sure we didn't touch our hot plates. It's a bigger place than I thought it was. I liked the bold accents on the booths. The girl at the cash register was very friendly and it seemed like they had 5 people working, so I figured we would have a wait, but not crazy long for food. I unfortunately was wrong. It took around 45-50 minutes for us to get a pancake, chicken tenders, biscuits and gravy, a chicken bacon wrap, an egg, and a breakfast burrito. They also initially forgot the egg. The wait was a little too long for the young children with, so we had some grumpy customers with them. It seems as though they mainly have one person doing all the food with another putting on the finishing sauces and dips, so i could see why that would take a while. Overall, the food was fine, but the wait was a little too long for our group that day.

These are things Subway has as a rule for the stores. It seems like there is always turn over. They had some great ladies that worked there. Where did they go? Things were great back then. Ok, we have recently gone in and noticed a kid that doesn't wash his hands after leaving the bathroom. No washing hands before putting gloves on. He's always complaining to customers, and swearing. Tonight we went in and he had ear buds in talking with them while messing up on orders. Another night he smashed our sandwiches, while wrapping them. We told him we wanted the other guy (Shawn) to only touch our sandwiches, to which the kid told us no, they each have their jobs on the line. Only tonight did we ask what Shawn's name was. At this point we told him from now on we only want him to work with us. Before going into night I was speaking to my significant other and we decided if the kid touched our sandwich again we were leaving before they were done. Thanks Shawn keep up your good work. We were both impressed by the thick onion rings, especially when paired with the house-made horseradish sauce. Yum!
