The ice cream is ridiculously smooth, rich, and packed with flavor--like you can tell right away this isn't your average scoop. Everything is handcrafted with high-quality ingredients, and they even rotate unique flavors that keep you coming back just to see what's new. From classics to wild combos (yes... whiskey ice cream is a thing), every bite hits. And let's talk portions... that "double scoop" is basically a challenge in disguise. No complaints though. The vibe is awesome too--laid back, creative, and full of energy. It feels like one of those spots you stumble into and immediately know it's gonna be a regular stop. Fast service too! Honestly, it felt like stepping into a Kangra Knova track-- "Take you up so high... into outer space" because that's exactly what this ice cream does

They offer many many flavors, olive, which are absolutely delicious. There seem to be very few employees, as we have seen the same counter guy on each visit, but he does an extremely good job -- esp considering that he is handling both the donut and the ice cream side of the business, as well as as a drive-through. He's always very nice. I hope they stay for many years to come! We have been there three times now, and will be back again soon. PS The donuts are tummy too.

This is only a small store, with maybe 2 or 3 tables and a few high seats near the front window. I could be wrong but I didn't see any outdoor/patio seating. Because the place was so busy, it was tough to see all of the ice cream options. It sure looked like there were "31 flavors" though! Because we couldn't make it all the way around, I opted for the first one that stuck out to me - oreo s'more. Omg. I very rarely have treats like, but dang was it good. Literally tasted like a perfect swirl of graham cracker and marshmallow flavored ice cream, with add chunks of oreo. Just one scoop was enough for me. They have this cute option for kids called Creature Creations, which is essentially a scoop of ice cream with a theme - dinosaur, unicorn, or alien. Our son loves dinos so we went with that one (see photo). To no surprise, he loved the chocolate and sprinkles! Plus it came with a dinosaur crown he wore on our way out of the shop. Beyond just regularly-served ice cream, here you'll find customizable cakes and pies, malts, sundaes, polar pizza (aka cookie pie w ice cream), bakery treats, and beverages. Basically anything and everything to satisfy your sweet tooth.

It was good, however it was a little greasy. Yes I understand it's fried, but before plating it they could have let some of oil drip off. Otherwise it's very good. I also enjoy their ahi tuna and gumbo when I'm there. Service is always great. The waitress seem to know a lot of the patrons and are always circling the dining room to make sure you don't need anything. The bar is always crowded when I'm there and it's great to see on a Wednesday in the summer the restaurant is pretty full. The outdoor patio to both dining rooms tables were occupied. If you're in the Mequon area for business you won't be disappointed by Harvey's.

Caramel Brownie Moose Tracks: For those of you unfamiliar with "Moose Tracks", it is a flavor of…read moreice cream that consists of a combination of vanilla ice cream, peanut butter cups and fudge. Delicious, but being a lover of both brownies and caramel I was even more pumped to try this spin-off flavor. The vanilla is replaced by caramel flavored ice cream and the peanut butter cups are swapped with chewy brownie bits. I absolutely loved the caramel ice cream, and the addition of the chocolate fudge and Denali caramel made it utterly addicting. The fudge is so thick that when frozen it is almost like strips of chocolate. Although the tiny brownie bits are delicious, they're somewhat sparse. Getting a combination bite of brownie, caramel, and fudge is heavenly/orgasmic (whatever floats your boat). I first tried this flavor in 2022 and it has since become a staple in my summertime ice cream gorge. Doughboy approved Doughboy_Food_Reviews

Well hot dang, Maxfield's got itself a facelift! Visited recently for the first time in probably 6…read moremonths, and the whole place has been renovated. Updated booths, flooring, decor, and more. A nice refresh while still keeping the classic diner vibes. Love how obvious it is that this is family-run. The staff are long-standing, and were always greeted by the same friendly faces up front. After a 10min wait on a Sunday, we were seated in a booth with (also updated) menus. Seems a lot more condense, as previously there was almost too many options. But fear not, there's still plenty of goodness to pick from. For our kiddos we got a single order of the mickey mouse pancakes for them to share (more than enough). Comes with a big breakfast sausage too, and juice. We chose a side of fruit to add. I had the an egg white omelette with mushrooms and spinach. It came with English muffins, yay! Also added an order of turkey sausage on the side. And my husband? Could not stop raving about the breakfast burrito. Hard to impress this man when it comes to food, but he absolutely loved it. Must say though, it's a shock to walk away spending $75 (after tip) at a diner for three breakfasts. Here's to hoping these prices don't keep rising. I've yet to try any of their lunch-type items, so will add that to the bucket list.

The crispy spring rolls and crab rangoon were both great, especially with the sauces. I also had the black pepper shrimp with jasmine rice, and that was delicious. Overall, solid experience. I'm not much of a beer drinker, but whenever I come here, I always order the Stiegl Grapefruit Radler. It goes down easy and has none of the bitterness that many beers have. For dinner, I ordered the Chopped Salad with added chicken. It arrived looking fresh and was a generous portion. I ended up taking half of it home for another meal. Service: We received terrific service throughout the evening. Our server, Grace, did a great job getting us settled in. Waters arrived right away, followed shortly by our drinks and food. Everything was efficient, but we never felt rushed. She was friendly, attentive, and took the time to have a little conversation with us, making the experience feel more personal. Thanks, Grace! Atmosphere: It was a beautiful evening. Since it was just a little cool outside, we chose a table indoors near one of the open doorways, which let in plenty of fresh air. The noise level was comfortable, making it easy to carry on a conversation. Café Hollander continues to be a solid choice for a great meal.
