Honestly Culver's just hits every time. Like I'm low key obsessed with their grilled chicken sandwich, and also so pleased with their kids meals. What a deal you get for the price. Most recently we swung by to redeem our 'freebie scoops' that we've collected from past kids meals. Listen I'm not even an ice cream gal but the mint explosion flavor of the day....!? I'd go back just for that. My son absolutely devoured it of course, and I snagged a few bites. Plus, it's always such quick service here and this location in particular is very clean and well-kept. This review is for my most recent visit; came to use up a gift card after church with the family and one of the best Culvers experiences I've ever had. The young lady taking the order was super friendly and smiley, the order was accurate, kids ate everything, the custard flavor of the day (really Reese's) was loaded with peanut butter cups and the walleye fish fry dinner was not only the best fish fry ever from a fast food place, but it was an excellent fish fry of any fish fry place. This place messed my stomach up. They are dirty. Also, yesterday, I ordered a DoorDash CURBSIDE order and I'm sitting in the curbside parking waiting for my order. The app says my order should be ready by now so I walk in to check. No one knows what is going on with my order. The heavyset manager starts giving me attitude and tells me I'm DoorDash (implying not curbside) in a condescending tone. In my last month of pregnancy, this became my go to spot for burgers (iron!). Inside is clean; staff are friendly and for the most part efficient. However, sometimes attention to details is lacking. For example, we have had two expired milks in our take out- but we didn't notice until it was too late to return. Also, sometimes they skip giving you a receipt, yet they give you a print out of your order with a sticker saying to do a survey (but the survey cannot be done without code in receipt). read more

First time at Culvers. Had the mushroom, swiss double burger. Overall pretty good, though pretty greasy, I imagine the butter. A little surprised the cheese wasn't really melted though. The worst service imaginable I should of just walked out knowing this was going to be a terrible experience. All workers were on their cell phones, it wasn't busy but as a customer you shouldn't have to wait nearly 4-5 minutes to be acknowledged at the counter. The person walked up to counter after she finished her snap chats or whatever she was doing without even a welcome. Next mistake was placing an order, food came out looking all sloppy placed on a tray, food was cold and I didn't even bother eating left it and walked out. When I use to travel a lot to Mequon this Culver's was our go to lunch spot. I enjoyed their delicious double cheddar bacon butterburger and fried cheese curds. And I think their root beer is awesome too; they have their own brand of root beer. They also sold frozen custard, but most of the time I was in the area it was the cold of winter so I never got to try that; something frozen was the last thing I wanted during the cold wet winter. Very disappointed. Made my husband stop as the flavor of the day was Pumpkin Pecan Custard and I love pumpkin! It tasted more like a Frostee from Wendy's as it was "icee" and definitely not creamy custard with hardly any pumpkin flavor. I hope this is not the future of Culver's Custard. read more

Stopped in for a raspberry sundae. Employees all looked miserable. Cashier barely gave eye contact, exchanged no verbal hello. I PAID for extra raspberries. Culver's is a staple to most Wisconsinite's. Butterburgers are well known in this area, and most people love them. What is not to love? Butter? Burgers? Mmmm... I have never been a huge Culver's fan, but my visit to this particular restaurant was fine. My burger was VERY good, and if it wasn't for how I felt after eating it, I would say it is in my top three in WI. I would say that my least favorite part about Culver's are the cheese curds. Wisconsin is known for these little delectable goodies, and in my personal opinion, Culver's fall short. They are harder than usual, and have a very crunchy exterior. Too much breading for my taste. It would be a shame if you tried your very first deep fried cheese curd here! One thing that Culver's does better than anything else is definitely the custard. It is so good! Yesterday's flavor of the day was Caramel Pecan, and it did not fall short. Drive thru was way backed up. Decided to go inside. Ordered a Deluxe combo meal, double with fries. Staff was pleasant, ordered quickly, order came up quickly. Hopped onto Hwy 43 south bound. Opened up my bag, ended up with hot deep fried cheese curds... not fries. Hamburger was cold, slightly warm may be a stretch. Once I got downtown, thru out the Culver's food. I have to start by saying I like Culver's. I give the chain 3 to4 stars for a fast food restaurant. But the Culver's at Port Washington Rd and Mequon Rd is the worst Culver's I have ever been to, and I live in Mequon. The first two or three times the store made mistakes like the wrong food completely to the wrong size or wrong kind of sandwich. Over the 5 year I have lived in Mequon I have stopped going to to the Port Washington Rd Culver's. Yesterday I thought I would give them another shot. They failed I only ordered a small fry and a hamburger no cheese. I got a regular fry and a cheese burger. I just went through the drive through, ordered two scoops in a waffle cone with a dish on the side. I received a melted waffle come with less than 1 scoop in it and said again I ordered a two scoop and she said that is correct. There was melted custard down the cone and stuck to my hand only moments after getting the custard and it was 57 degrees. The cone melted into the cup and it was less than held full if the two scoop cup they provided me without a spoon. I will never go to this Culver's or any others again! This is the third disappointment this year and not willing to be disappointed again. $5+ for two scoops of custard and didn't get to eat any of it because of the mess. While my burger was being made-to-order, they gave me my milkshake at the counter; when they brought my burger to our table, it arrived with another milkshake. When I took the extra one back, they cheerfully made me keep it. (Did you really think I would order two milkshakes?) My friend received a free scoop of Culver's frozen custard because his order of fries contained a prize-winning, super duper five-inch fry--he was beaming like he just won Megabucks. All things considered, this place reminded me of a small traveling carnival, but in a nice way, run by nice people, and pleased as punch that you're there with them. A pleasant surprise. Well this place gives a good price for burgers and baskets. Sometimes the burgers are awfully flakey and thin, but other times they are nice juicy and thick. It seems that the flavor of the day is turtle A LOT! Not sure if this is a Culver's thing or a Wisconsin thing but it's a repeating flavor. Culver's is for people who want a fast food experience at higher prices but not if you want ambiance. Anyway, the food is a little better than your average fast food joint but I'm not sure why it's become Wisconsin's version of In-N-Out. The chicken ?fingers? were good. Visiting Wisconsin and told these are the best burgers around so we went. I found them to be a glorified burger king, nothing special.
