I love just about all Culvers, and this is a really great sit-down location. The adult and kids meals for burgers and chicken tenders are both yummy and you do get a nice amount of quality food for your money (although do expect to pay more than other fast food restaurants). You can't go wrong with their classic custards or concrete mixers! One scoop comes with every kids meal. Ordering from your table is an option, but the staff at the front end are cheerful so it's nice to talk to someone directly. Very spacious, lots of natural light, well-stocked condiments/napkin station and an overall clean restaurant. Lots of parking. The bathroom was clean and well stocked too. I ordered my meal at around 4:44pm I'll say because that's the time the email came in that said let us know when you get here. I set my order for pickup at 5:00pm. I got there early at 5:55pm because I wasn't that far away. I waited and watch numerous cars pull in and their order came right out. 5:00pm came and mine had not come out yet. No worries, I can see a few minutes after 5:00 pm. It finally came out at 5:10pm and the runner seemed confused because he went to another car first and then when he approached me showed me the bag and asked if this was my name on bag. The onion rings were also all clumped together. It was as if there were only 3 because of the clumps. I did not go into the building so I do not know what their dinning room looks like. I stopped by for a dinner. Spicy crispy chicken sandwich was my favorite entree item. Deluxe single burger was really good as well. Chicken tenders was ok. Culver's had a recent tie up with General Mills. There were 3 limited time concretes as part of this. I went with Cinnamon toast crunch concrete mixer. It was ok. I finished of dinner with my favorites - turtle sundae and cashew caramel sundae. Many a times I visit Culvers only to have the sundaes. There is a ton of cashew and turtle in the sundae. read more

I was craving a walleye sandwich and decided to stop by. I ordered the walleye value basket, but the cashier gave me a confused look and said, hmm, what was that? I repeated myself, and he still didn't seem to understand. I clarified, walleye--the fish,and he had to ask someone else about it. I wondered if it was his first day, but there was no trainee badge or trainer nearby. On top of that, there is a clear advertisement for walleye just feet away from the counter. When I finally received my food, it was honestly disappointing. I understand inflation is a factor, but the fish filet was incredibly small (see photo). While the flavor was good, the portion size was unacceptable. The filet is definitely hidden inside the bun not like what the advertisement. I hope management takes a closer look at their staff training protocols and reevaluates the quality and size of the walleye filet from their vendor. Went to Culver's for the first time today. The food was standard drive thru food. Ordered cheese curds-actually surprisingly well seasoned. And a concrete blended ice cream. They didn't scrimp on the mix ins and this was easily the best thing we ordered. The burger didn't impress-would probably go else where if that was what we were in the mood for. read more

Food is hot & fresh, it's always busy in here. Store is clean. There's an outdoor patio with flower plantings, which is pleasant. That said, the patio is in between the drive thru lane and the Beltline so don't count on it being a zen oasis. read more

If you're from Wisconsin, Culver's is it's own food group. You grew up eating their crinkle cut fries, curds, butter burgers, and custard. You collected scoopie tokens from the kids meals and you remember the day you finally collected enough to get that famed Scoopie keychain to put on your backpack. If you're not from Wisconsin, first of all, welcome to our fine state. Do you find the concept of putting literal butter on a burger cooked in butter absolutely disgusting? Then please - turn around at Beloit or Kenosha or La Crosse because you will NOT like it here. Yes - we put butter on our burgers. Hey - technically we aren't the fattest state anymore though! We are just dang proud of our dairy and we like to put cheese and butter on just about everything! That's the secret to Culver's burgers - it's actually no secret. They tell you that "secret ingredient" right on the big blue sign that faces the Beltline. Butter. Burger. That's all there is to it. It's probably one of the best fast food burgers you'll ever have outside of In-N-Out in California (but remember, happy cows come from Wisconsin, NOT California!) Culver's also popularized frozen custard - which is basically fancy ice cream. Some people (most Wisconsinites) swear by it - others (mostly FIBs) prefer the devil's cream - SOFT SERVE (yuck!). If you haven't tried it, you should. Granted, if you're looking for the best frozen custard in the state, you're not going to find it at Culver's and you're also in the wrong city. Madison is pretty devoid of decent frozen custard stands. If you want the best in the state, head to Leon's, Kopp's, or Oscars in MKE. Then there's cheese curds. IMO Culver's is also not the best place to get cheese curds but if you don't have time to patronize one of the millions of local taverns that perfect that little fried cheesy ball of goodness, Culver's will certainly not disappoint. This location is a halfway decent location. It's not the best - they've screwed up my order a few times which is whatever. But the staff is usually pretty friendly and the quality is usually spot on. Still - I couldn't justify giving any Culver's any less of a five star review. Still - they NEED to bring back fried chicken. read more

On two separate occasions my girlfriend and I have gone to this specific Culver's intending to use our free value basket coupon. A different manager both times denied these coupons. Once because "they just didn't accept those there." And the most recent time was because "the owner can choose not to accept these." I keep getting cold food which I thought wasn't supposed to happen if you have to wait for them to make it. Pretzel bites were like rock hard little pebbles and cheese sauce had some unidentifiable object in it. Soup had almost nothing but broth which for 5 bucks is pretty pricey broth. I was disgusted. We were given the wrong order and was treated disrespectfully while trying to explain we had gotten the wrong order. We order the fish sandwich combo meal and got the fish plate and was charged for the drink. We called up the store and asked why were we charged for the drink, and the manager became rude and said what do you mean. I told her we ordered the combo meal and that the drink should have come with it. The manager took money of the exact amount from the cash register for the drink, she gave it to me. She then ask for the drink back and threw it in the garage without saying a word. I called the owner of the restaurant and she never called me back. read more

There are few things more divine than indulging in rich custard bursting with flavors after running around under the scorching sun. To my delight, this Culver's is conveniently located on the way to the soccer fields. Every Monday on the way to soccer, I scope out the flavor of the day and spend my time at soccer dreaming about the delectable flavor combinations I can create when I inevitably stop on my way home. Today's flavor was Kit Kat Swirl, which was a lovely pairing with hot fudge and peanut butter. The contrast between the cold, creamy custard and warm, luscious chocolate was nothing short of spectacular. Not to mention, the nutty flavors played off each other just as splendidly as Timon and Pumbaa. I'll be back next week! 4 out of 5 stars, though, because my Kit Kat Swirl didn't appear to have a swirl. Should really be called Kit Kat Mashup. Very misleading. read more

This is a bigger Culver's - and it needs to be. This location can get pretty busy. The woman taking our order was super fast and efficient. We ordered and paid in what felt like seconds. We took our number, grabbed some drinks and sat down. Before we could get through the flip-card display on the table, our food had arrived. We are new to the area...But WoW, they have some of the best ice cream (concrete) I have ever tasted. The meals are great, and the ice cream is even better. If you visit them as often as we do, then down load their phone app. We found out each location is privately owned. This means that each location has its own daily special.
