The Cod sandwich didn't look good because the plank was small and square. But it tastes great . It's not greasy like it first appears. The cashier was friendly and helpful. My food was presented in a timely manner. Finally, although it looks crowded and no seating is available, I was able to find a seat without issue. Let's not forget the wifi is simple to navigate. I had happily eaten at this Culver several times before with great satisfaction. However, after the movie Saturday evening, when we stopped into Culver's, I found it to be mostly disappointing. I ordered a Butterburger and plainly stated, "no cheese," but I got cheese. I had ordered caramelized onions, and it's obvious those had been cooked earlier in the day or some other time, refrigerated, and a little teaspoon of them was dumped right in the middle of my hamburger bun. Once I found them, I discovered they were only room temperature at best, and my single Burger must have been on the grill too long as the edges were all burnt. My mashed potatoes were a solid lump in the middle of the bowl. Thankfully, the gravy was hot enough to make the top & edges of the lump to be warmer and "soupier." Hubby was more than satisfied with his burgers and the chili. Fortunately, my strawberry sundae was very good even though one of the strawberries was iced. My husband's chocolate custard was also great. The women's restroom could've used some attention, but it wasn't disgusting. I realize I set the bar very high for Culver's, because in the past, they had always been excellent, so I was disappointed at things I might not have noticed at some other restaurant. The servers all seem to be very exhausted and/or new on the job. Actually, they just look tired to me. The exceptions were those who were cleaning in the eating area, and they immediately attacked any seating area that was vacated, and I'm quite sure not a crumb or even a germ managed to escape them. I haven't been to culivers in a year and will never go back. Got a double cheeseburger and a fish sandwich cost me $27. Food was horrible, fish or what fish I should say. Bun was hard and twice the size of tiny, bland micro fish and the burger was not seared and lacked anything good about it. We haven't had Culver's in a while. My family and I went to Culver's to eat lunch before we went to see Spider-Man. There was not a line but did wait a minute or two to order. Which was fine the menu is a lot to take in. My guys ordered combo meals, BBQ pub burgers and a spicy chicken sandwich combo. I ordered a kids meal, it's pricey for a kids meal but it includes, burger, fries, scoop of ice cream and drink. Service was ok, we had a new team member who needed to ask questions. That's fine since everyone has been the new person. The wait for our food was longer than expected but it allowed us time to visit. The food was just ok. Burgers were not as I remembered, and the buns were not fresh I think that's why we liked them in the past. Today was just an off day for this restaurant, that's why I rated them at 4. Culver's is an American chain burger/dessert/food establishment in the same vein as a Dairy Queen. This particular location is just off Preston Highway near/in the hillview portion of the city of Lousiville. The outside has a very nice patio and yeh inside is larger than expected and pretty clean. When this location first opened ten plus years ago or so I made a visit and I honestly can't remember my experience there So yesterday on a Thursday around noon I made a return trip with my wife and a couple of friends around noon. The place was packed to the brim. I personally got a bacon cheeseburger with cheese curds and a Andes mint concrete mixer (there blizzard). My wife got a peanut butter chocolate shake. The burger for me was lacking. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't anything to bring me back. The cheese curds I did enjoy. They were pretty filling and not very greasy with a good cheese flavor. The Andes mint mixer was great. It was nice And unique to see the pairing with that National chocolate mint brand. Pricing was about on par for places that aren't quite "fast food" but not quite fine dining. So no complaints there. I had slight service issues in that when they gave me my table number to sat at my table that they took away after giving me my ice cream and not my food. So I had to track my food down. Overall it was a solid experience. I may come back for some deserts and curds and to try something different. Maybe I won't wait ten years this next time. read more

We don't go to fast food often but this is a bit above most fast food in my opinion. I love their grilled chicken cashew salad with raspberry vinaigrette dressing. Lettuce and veggies are always fresh and cashews are plentiful as is the chicken. At times I am not able to eat all the chicken and have brought it home and made chicken salad with it for the next day. We have eaten their burgers and they are always good. As well as the ice cream (which I actually think is custard). I have tried the sundaes and shakes and all have been good. There is ample parking, a good size indoor dining area and several tables with umbrellas outside. The only thing about the outside is you are sitting in the parking lot and lots of cars coming and going. Also there are concrete tables and benches so not the most comfortable. But again for fast food I would recommend. They also have a wide variety of salads, fish, burgers, chicken, fries, etc. So you can always find something to please your pallet. Mostly teens working the counter but they are typically friendly and helpful. If you eat indoors they give you a number to put on your table and they bring your order to you. A nice touch. read more

I've been frequenting this location since Covid. Their drive thru is pretty much seamless but the lines can get long, depending on when you are there. I love their burgers and shakes. The chocolate shake with strawberry had been my pick me up treat lately. When the drive thru line is long, I'll run inside and place an order to go. This is sometimes quicker. They also have a 'flavor of the day' where they serve a special flavor mix. Today's flavor was mint chocolate. I haven't had their food menu items for a very long time and decided today I would. Today I tried their delux bacon butter cheeseburger and butterfly shrimp. The shrimp tasted good, and the burger was moist with good flavor. The only con is the temperature of the burger. I'm not a big burger eater, but when I have one I really enjoy it hot not room temperature. That's why I usually never purchase burgers at fast food restaurants, because their burgers usually are served room temperature, not hot. I come to this Culver's 3/4 times per month. Our food is always hot, fresh & just the way we ordered it. Flavor of the day is something I look forward to. I have tried most flavors by now and know what my favorites are. Ice cream is by far my favorite food and I love the frozen custard made here just as much as I love my Ben & Jerry's. They have menu's at the front counter and online for each location's flavor of the day. Usually my entire family gets a kid's meal because they come with a free scoop of custard!! Also they come with "tokens" and after you save 10 of them you get a free kid's meal also. I just fold them up and stash them in my wallet for a rainy day. The burgers here could be compared to a steak and shake burger. They have that thin, crispy, made to order beef that is just super juicy. I like mine with mushrooms & swiss. (Which they will do in a kid's meal at no extra cost). I have gotten the Reuben several times, as it is my favorite sandwich, and I have to say it is my 2nd favorite Reuben in town... Solid Reuben. This place is the epidemy of incompetence. All we order was an ice cream in their drive thru and it took so long that 4 orders behind us got their orders first. Some of those orders behind us had multiple bags of food. This manager and his/her staff shouldn't be allow to serve based on not only this time but others as well. Well worth stopping in here. Casual fast food atmosphere. The staff is very friendly. Always welcomed when you enter the door. The food is always fantastic. You are given a number after paying for your order and you can go find your seat and they will bring out your food. The fish sandwich here is one of my favorites and the fried cheese curds are so yummy. Right now they have pretzel bites for a limited time. I recommend getting them while you can. They are fabulous. Be sure to save room for ice cream after. You can not beat fresh frozen custard. Vanilla and chocolate flavors are available every day but they also have a new flavor of the day every day of the month. Over time this Culver's has been up and down. The food is great. It's always good, but the service needs a serious upgrade- ESPECIALLY THE DRIVE THROUGH! going in the service is good. The orders are made correctly, but whenever we decide to go through the drive through- the order gets screwed. The person taking the order is rude. There are so many kids working there and they are so unprofessional at the window. My husband went back to have our order corrected and the kid threw the burger away.
