I've been to this Zaxby's in Hillview several times, and it's always been a dependable place to grab a meal. The chicken is hot, fresh, and full of flavor, and the fries are always seasoned just right. The Texas toast is one of my favorite parts of the meal, and the Zax Sauce never disappoints. The staff has always been friendly, my orders have been accurate, and the restaurant has been clean whenever I've visited. customer Service is sickening and the vulgar language is very improfess, definitely not a kid friendly experience. They are very loud when having conversations where the customers can hear them while we are waiting for our food. I usually love Zaxby's, but the last couple of visits have been very disappointing. It may just be this particular location. Two visits prior to this one, they got my order wrong. I didn't realize until I got all the way home. I called and the manager apologized and put me on the list for a free meal. The visit after that, I tried to redeem my meal and the store was closed due to a water pipe bursting. It was an issue beyond they're control, but I wish their voicemail stated such. Especially since I called before driving all the way over there. Needless to say, I was able to get my meal another day and it was good. This last visit was dissatisfiying. I ordered online for convenience because I have a sick kid and like most restaurants I thought you could pick up at the window. When I got to the window I was told I had to come in which is cool if I could get out of the drive through. Essentially I had to stay in the drive through until I got to the window at which time I asked again could I please get my order since I had to stay in the line to avoid bringing my daughter in. The manager said no and I had to come in so I could be verified so I agreed and went in only to NOT be verified and my order just being on a shelf a good 4 steps away from where the manager was at the window. My first time at Zaxbys. The food was good. A little expensive for fast food though. My husband got a meal and I got a sandwich and our total was $20. Service was fast through the drive through. I got the new Philly chicken sandwich and my husband got boneless wings. My main problem with this place is that the containers are made of styrofoam. The environment is big for me. The food could have easily been served in cardboard containers like many other chicken/burger places. So I guess if the environment isn't a priority for you, it would be a good place, but not for me. Zipped in for lunch one afternoon. Same great service different location. We tried a 6 piece plate with fries and coke slaw. Came out fast and smoking hot. We traded out the Zax's sauce for ranch. Also ordered a side of cheese bites and a boneless wing order. None of the food came with any condiments, instead of fries and toast (as well as the sub cole slaw for extra toast and fries), I received the smallest bag of Lay's chips available (you know the size they sell in a 25 count case for like $5). My order was over $30 and I received a 1oz. BAG OF LAYS POTATO CHIPS in substitution for an order of fries, cole slaw and bread. Raising Cane's would never. My family used to eat here once or twice a week. It had amazing chicken and an amazing price. Unfortunately the last two times we ate here the meals we were served could be classified as samplers. We ordered two Big Zax Snak Meals at 5.79 a piece. It was supposed to come with 3 large pieces of chicken, fries, and a drink. Not only were the fries missing, but the chicken fingers were no bigger than my pinky. We also got 5 chicken wings. If you added up the meat on every wing you wouldn't have a single bites worth. Went and ate lunch at this location with my parents and fiancé. I really like Zaxbys but this location is absolutely terrible. It took forever to get our food and there was one employee who had blonde hair and a ball cap who was just mad about everything. Guys let's start at the beginning - zaxbys is a poor poor copy of canes. That's the truth and it hurts I'm sure. Now to the missile - this location is lackluster even for Zaxby's standards. Dirty areas, limp fries, all broken and mushed up, chicken barely lukewarm, cole slaw swimming in juices, limp toast, boring ice tea. It's not worth it guys - it's just not worth it. The southern-style menu is sooo good, and for fast food, they are definitely an upper class chain compared to McDonald's/Burger King. Decades ago, when I was a student at WKU, a new little restaurant opened not far from the college on 31W called Zaxby's. Their specialty was chicken fingers and Texas toast and all was good. Great even. Jump to the present day and every location of this mid-size franchise that I've had a chance to visit since just lacks quality. Prices are ridiculous for what you could consider fast food and portion size and flavor hardly make up any difference. In my opinion, they should really reconsider and return to their original model, because this chicken should never have crossed the road and could now be kicked to the curb. read more

I've never had a bad experience, and never had a great experience. I give it to them for being somewhat in there own category, you really cant get decent buffalo chicken on the go anywhere else. But they are lacking the certain flair or visual identity that makes them really stand out. Tonight i took a free meal coupon and went to use it, guy tells me my total is still $8.08, i said it was for a free meal.. he then says 'give me $.90 and we will call it' im thinking what for but figured id just pay and speak with the manager, id have the information on the receipt... i was refused a receipt and i had ordered a ranch cup at the speaker which i didnt get.. i asked at the window if i could get that too.
