The staff at this location is really friendly and they keep the restaurant really clean and tidy. I also enjoy using their app to accumulate points for free items and to have the ability to order ahead. On my last visit, I found myself placing an order just a few minutes after they'd opened and when I arrived, they were putting the final touches on my order. I'm still waiting for them to add the option to pick up online orders through the drive thru...and for them to increase the portion sizes of their onion rings. I also wish that I could add shredded cheese to my chili cheese fries through the app in place of the cheese sauce. You are only able to do this in person. Besides that, I really enjoy the food here. This is one of the better fast food spots in my area.

It is usually my kids' go-to option when they want a burger, even more than that other chain from Wisconsin. This Freddy's location, though, was a little rough around the edges. The tables were dirty and askew, it took almost 25 minutes to receive our food, and the restaurant was smoky from poor ventilation, among other things. Maybe it was just my visit today. I'm hoping it was just an off day. I want to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt. And it looked like they were short staffed, which didn't help at all. We got our food and the order was correct and it tasted great, though, so that was a bonus. I got the chili cheese fries, which kinda hit the spot, but Freddy's has shoestring fries, and I think chili cheese fries need those big, thick fries. We were going to get frozen custard sundaes after our meal, but I could tell that they were still struggling to fulfill the drive-thru and online orders, so I didn't step up to the counter to order again. I didn't want to wait another half hour! I still love Freddy's, though. It's hard not to love this chain because the food is so good. So I will probably come back and hope that my next visit is better.

I have been to this location a few times, but not only were the staff super friendly, the chili dog I ordered was surprisingly delicious! I'm funny about hot dogs. So when I buy for us at home--all beef is the only way to go. I believe theirs was as well. If it wasn't? I would love to know what brand it was. Great service and great dog! Begrudgingly, I gave it only 4 stars since a regular sized chili dog and small coke was $7.06! Outrageous!

I tend to be kind of hit-and-miss when it comes to Dairy Queen's food selections, though while I…read morewas out running errands today I was in the mood for some ice cream. So, I stopped in to this Cumberland location of Dairy Queen Grill & Chill. This is an odd location with a few closed businesses and a vacant church across the street. However, i've always had a certain fondness for this DQ location despite the fact it's seen its better days. The parking lot has a handful of potholes - including one right as you turn in that will be a bit jarring if you don't see it. I do believe this is actually in Cumberland - so, technically, no Indy pothole jokes here. This location has both dine-in and drive-thru options. I hit the drive-thru, but then stuck around to actually eat my lunch. I snagged a $7 meal deal that included 3 chicken tenders, a small fries, a sundae, and a regular drink. You can upgrade to a small blizzard for $2 more. There aren't too many places you can eat for under a ten spot anymore - that's a definite plus. The service was solid. It wasn't anything remarkable, but the employee was friendly and timely. The food was solid. I always think it's weird to call a small dish of ice cream with a topping a "sundae," but I get the point and it is what I was craving. So, it was fine. I didn't see iced tea on the menu, a bit disappointing. Three Cumberland police officers were present. Business was steady throughout my visit. While this is Cumberland, it's really right on the line. I think right across the street is actually Indy. They do have accessible parking. Most DQ locations do accessibility fairly well. There's an outside dining option here, though it really wasn't warm enough today. I'm surprised I'd never reviewed this place. While I won't say I get here often, I often do stop in when I'm in the area. Overall, things were what I'd call "just fine." I'll definitely return - not because it's 5-star dining, but because it's a comfort spot with decent food at good prices and ice cream I get nostalgic for once in a while.

There are two drive thru lines and a lot of parking including three ADA spaces by the front door. Nice fresh landscaping surrounds the lot. Music (soft rock) plays outside and in. "Welcome to fresh!" It took awhile to work our way through the line. I had the Cod sandwich with a fantastic light batter. The burger is the standard butter burger which is a decent size patty that is grilled in Wisconsin butter. The crinkle cut fries are good. The custard, well, was delicious - today's flavor was turtle. The new staff was a mix of friendly and excited. Reid was super friendly and helpful. The young lady at the register had a great smile and was sort of soft-spoken; I think she may have been new because the person at the register next to her had to help her figure out how to ring something in. She couldn't really explain what malted milk was either, but neither can I, so there's that. I was given my chocolate malted milk shake almost right away. After waiting about 15-20 minutes, our order came up. As per usual, they gave us an abundance of fries. I never order two orders of fries because one will suffice. They overfill it and put tons extra in your bag. By the time we got home, the bun was a little soggy, but my burger was on point. Because of the soggy bun, my boyfriend was a bit disappointed with his and barely ate half. My Little Cheeseburger had mayo, grilled onions and A.1. steak sauce on it and the flavor profile was magnificent! You should try it!

Absolutely terrible experience at the Five Guys on E. 82nd Street in Castleton…read more I waited over 45 minutes just to get my order, despite having only an hour lunch break. When I finally asked the woman working about the delay, her response was essentially that it wasn't her problem and questioned why I was concerned about not having my order despite being on my lunch break. I eventually asked for a refund because I no longer had enough time to wait, and she refused to refund me. To make matters worse, when I finally received the food, one of the two burgers was missing the bacon that we specifically ordered. So after waiting over 45 minutes, dealing with an incredibly dismissive employee, and losing a significant portion of my lunch break, the order wasn't even prepared correctly. I understand that restaurants can get busy, but 45+ minutes, poor communication, dismissive customer service, refusing a refund, and then getting the order wrong is completely unacceptable. This was one of the worst customer-service experiences I've had at a fast-casual restaurant. I will not be returning to this location. Five Guys needs to seriously address the customer service and order accuracy at this location.
