Always great food, but are we gonna wait until January to turn on the heat? It's friggin cold in here!!!

We have the unfortunate experience of getting the 2 piece cod diner 3xs the Cole slaw wasn't included (even though my husband insisted the Cole slaw be in the diner). Although we payed 4 the Cole slaw as it is supposed 2 b with the diner, and the tarter sauce was left out also. The fish is so close 2 Arthur Teacher's fish & chips. But the fries r always cold. Went to lunch. Placed the order it was brought out in a timely manner. The order was wrong. So I went to them to fix the order and it seems there was complications with staff making the order right and they even said it was wrong. They wanted to charge me to fix the order. This was another first time for me going to this chain restaurant. I heard they have been around for a long time but there are not any locations where I live. I was on vacation and stopped in. I had a double cheeseburger and cheese curds. The burger was unique tasted almost like a steak and Shake burger but a little better. The cheese curds were very good not greasy and very flavorful. The only reason I give it a two star experience is because all the food did not settle with me well and I felt sick for hours after. Can you say Butter Burger!!! This location is awesome. Service is always pleasant and the food is great. By far my favorite and a staple on the menu is the Butter Burger. Because those burgers are cooked fresh you will have to wait bit longer for your order but well worth the wait. The concrete mixers are also awesome. Awesome customer service handling my order for 14 people. I called ahead and gave my order to a very patient and thorough employee. I told her the time I wanted to pick it up. When I arrived my order was ready. John and his staff quickly bagged everything up. The gal on the other end of the phone introduced her self to me. Went Sat. 10/31/15 after bball at local ymca with my fam. Service was excellent. Staff is mainly young people and they are polite, professional and very helpful. Wonderful atmosphere with oldies but goodies playing. Love this little spot. Also visited again on Wed 11/4/15. They have the best fish sandwich! Drive thru this time. You have to wait hut your food is always fresh. The young staff workers always have a smile on their face. Great fast food/casual place! read more

Wonderful Fish N Chips! I love Fish N Chips. And in Indy there are several "pubs" that do it well. But not...repeat...NOT any better than this! And I get it often and it's always the same great meal. I know. It's hard to believe. This is hybrid fast food. No waiters but hey no tipping either. The cod is available in two or three piece dinners which come with fries, coleslaw and exceptional unique tartar sauce. The fish is thick. Very thick. The two piece fills me up and at 6', 200lbs that's not easy. What an absolutely wonderful find and Culvers Restaurants are all over the Midwest. Bravo Culvers! read more

What happened to Culvers? They used to have damn good ice cream. I went tonight for some ice cream and what I got was downgraded stuff I could have bought from the grocery store. I ordered mint oreo ice cream. If they didn't sell actual mint ice cream they should have told me but they did have a picture of it on their menu, instead I got vanilla ice cream with mint flavored syrup on top and some cookies which wasn't what I ordered! it was so gross it tastes like toothpaste! Affordable food is where it's at, folks! I have stopped at Culver's a few times before (or after) going to Fort Harrison State Park. They have a great selection, including a favorite of mine: the "SnackPak" meal. For under $4, I was able to get a serving size that was perfect. Sandwiches, ice-cream, salads - they have it all. The place was kept clean and our order was processed quickly. All good things. Nothing negative to say about Culver's. read more

This was my first Culver's experience and I have to say that I was very pleased. I most closely relate the name to ice cream, but my expectations were far exceeded. The food was so delicious and filling that I didn't even have room for ice cream. I ordered the double Wisconsin cheddar burger with fries and a drink. It was spectacular. I don't believe that I've ever had a butter burger before and I was very happy with my first experience. It was the perfect burger size. I didn't feel disgusting, but I wasn't unsatisfied. The fries are great as well; they are your classic crinkle cut fries. I love that Culver's has bottles of Cholula hot sauce on every table. In my opinion, it's one of the best hot sauces to have available at your restaurant. I can't wait to go back and try one of their fish sandwiches. My wife and I go here for lunch at least once a week. Always fast friendly staff. If you get a chance ask for Oscar. He's the guy that you'll see at the first station as you walk in. What a great guy and representative for the company. Always has a great attitude and smile. Nice to walk in and have him remember our names. Can't say enough about how that kind of customer service is so much appreciated and lacking in so many places nowadays. Food is always great as well as prompt delivery of the food to your table. I'm so furious, I would rate no stars if possible. Management needs to get their staff under control. Just went here to get food for a late Mother's Day dinner and was expecting something delicious and fast. My expectations were clearly set too high for this location! My mixer was melted by the time it got to my car, my grilled chicken sandwich had very little lettuce, no tomato, and pickles. I ordered no pickles. My soda was flat. My cheese curds were cold. You better believe it that I'm calling management tomorrow and verbally complaining about the service I received tonight. 10/13/2010 I have been here twice over the last 2 weeks and I am very disappointed in their frozen custard , (very, very grainy). I wrote off my first visit as a bad batch ( knowing things are not always perfect) but after just getting home and my custard is still grainy after all this time and 3 of the 4 pumpkin cheesecake mixers had no cheesecake in them at all. Not sure why the manager had no idea and claimed NO ONE has ever said anything in 2 weeks time. Unbelievable for me to conceive since I am not normally a complainer. 11/02/10 O.K. I Love frozen treats and find it hard to keep away from them. It has been almost 3 weeks since my last visit to this location, and I regret to say that this is the WORST custard I have ever eaten. My wife also feels this way. My fat butt did finish my 2 scoop hot fudge sundae, but my tongue and the roof of my mouth felt like I had eaten a whole package of Oreo stuffing (they were coated in lard). Good customer service is hard to find now a days. I had a great four star review of this restaurant, until now. The last few times we have been here the employees were so so so rude. On top of that we like their novelty chocolate. The other locations say that they are suppose to have it everyday. So we call on a regular basis and they never ever have it. The last time we called to ask the employee on the phone said that they are a franchise and they can go by their own rules not by Culver's corporate rules. Culver's is a family owned restaurant that serves delicious fast food items and frozen custard. I first experienced this restaurant while living in northern Illinois. It seems the locations of these restaurants are around the Midwest areas. I've been to 5 locations and they all provided professional and polite service. My kids love to eat here because they get a coupon with their meal that can be traded in for some delicious frozen custard. The food is not a friend to the slender waist line but if your going to cheat, I'd recommend this restaurant. I only experienced the drive-thru at this location in which they took my order with no complaints and my food came out shortly after pulling forward in the one of the drive thru waiting spots. I think it's very effective they keep the cars moving through the drive thru, some customers only go there for the custard so they don't need to wait for a full order to go through just to get a cone of the custard. read more

We have always enjoyed Culver's for their fresh, always hot food. Yesterday, though, I had a very bad experience. I am on the weight watchers plan and try to eat heallthy. I ordered 2 pieces of the french fried cod, planning on 12-20 points. It was in fact a whopping 47 points, 3 times the points of any other french fried cod I have ever had. Needless to say it was delicious but I wish Culver's would put some fish on the menu that is not a time bomb. We need weight friendly choices. read more
