I had a basic burger and fries which I could not finish so portion sizes here are good for the fellas and plentiful for the ladies. Football on the TV's and a paint and sip type activity that had maybe near a dozen ladies was wrapping up as we were being seated. I see The Mayfield Tavern as likely to succeed if it envisions being a place for all people. I would return if in Lapeer again. Its worth you giving them a try.

While the restaurant does offer one, it was only applied to the two items he personally ordered, rather than to the family meal as a whole. This felt disappointing and, honestly, a bit disrespectful in its execution. While we understand that businesses can set their own policies, the way this was handled left a bad impression and took away from what was otherwise meant to be a positive family outing. The food itself was decent, but the experience surrounding the discount overshadowed our visit. Given our prior positive experience with the Woodchips, this was not what we expected. We hope management considers how these situations are handled in the future, especially when recognizing military service.
