My co worker keeps saying how good the sourdough patty melt is and he keeps going over for one for lunch because it's the best sandwich on the menu so I thought that I would try one. The place is in a Jets gas station with plenty of outdoor seating but I went through the drive through and and I got the sandwich only because I never need a drink and frys to super stuff me. My first thought was for a double patty the sandwich was pretty thin but it looked nicely toasted with crusted beef patty's and melted cheese. The sourdough patty melt was hot for fast food which surprised me and it had a nice fresh beef flavor and tasty with grilled onions but it was super greasy. Overall it was tasty and I'm not going to say that I'm not going to do Culver's again but I don't see my self getting the greasy sourdough melt sandwich again and just get the cheeseburger. read more

This place has the worst service I've experienced. Not only did they have me standing there with my bag of food in front of them they decided to keep talking amongst themselves after I spoke up about my order taking so long. Sometime later I am handed the bag I pointed too and said I had hoped wasn't mine because it had been sitting there for a long while. The staff just stands around joking and taking to one another. I seen very few employees actually working, employees with special needs doing clean up. Well the others joked and played. After, I was handed my food I asked to speak to the manager. The employees always seem to be messing around with each other so everyone is distracted and not checking the orders carefully. Normally go to the one on Layton but found this one to be closer. Good service, the line is always long though! Naturally, because it's good food. Crazy I've lived here practically all my life and never knew they made the burgers not frozen! Normally I get their burgers and they're always too salty for me. I found out you can order them with little to no seasoning. Ordered that this time and the burger was sooo good! They tasted fresh and the light seasoning was perfect. Their turtle sundae is my favorite to get as well as butter pecan when they have it as their "Flavor of the day". Only suggestion in the drive thru, when you order ice cream and a meal and you're parked to get your food it would be nice if they bring out the ice cream last or with your food. Dine in or carry-out. It's not McDonalds so the food actually takes time to prepare. The drive-thru backs up easily and can take a while to get through. I think it's worth it, but not if I'm rushed for time. I enjoy the friendly staff and The food and custard are great. I've rarely had a problem with my order. It's happened only two or three times, and in each case the issue was resolved quickly and usually with the added bonus of a free item for my trouble. During several recent visits you see three or four employees chit-chatting behind the counter, not working, while one employee takes orders from a long line of customers. I will try going to other locations, where the service is much better, or other brands of restaurants- the employees also aren't consistently friendly- some are, but they mostly treat you as someone who they wish didn't interrupt their personal conversation. Disappointed with the quality lately. My son had a hair in his ice cream, hamburger meat has been burnt and falling apart, grilled cheese was either over cooked or undercooked falling apart. I went to this Culvers 5/14/24 in the afternoon, went through the drive thru. i ordered a crispy chicken basket. got my order after parking and discovered my sandwich was not in the bag. my wife discovered this, i went back and approached the employee who brought my food to me, he couldn't do anything and called a manager Austin. Austin asked i get the bag, i did. he asked "where's the other food'. unfortunately i could not bring that in as my wife was eating it. he accused me of trying to get free food. told me he witnessed me walk up agitated with his employees and since i wasn't 'acting like an adult' he can't, won't help, he was going too but changed his mind. i clarified either can i have my food or refund, told me he couldn't. said his GM would be in Friday(discovered he liked about that, i spoke to mark the GM 5/15 and was told he'd be off 5/16). he told me if i didn't leave he'd have me trespassed etc. i started to leave, he followed me or 'escorted' me out. the Culvers shared a building with a JETs. he followed me right out of culvers into jets, told me if i didn't leave there he would have them trespass me. i had to ask him to stop following and standing close to me. i doubt he's allowed to follow me out, possible safety issues for anyone. i spoke to Mark the GM, who is not very helpful. now i see where austin may get this behavior. ***currently waiting for mark to 'look into it' before he will do anything. to note i am diabetic and got denied me food, accused of stealing by an aggressive Austin(manager) and wanted to trespass over 1 sandwich. such bad service, seems to be the the theme here. read more

Time for an update. Have i taken Culver's for granted? Maybe. I sure come here often enough. It maybe my favorite fast food. Their double deluxe butter burgers are tasty. The patties are thin and dark, but not dried out. The custard is good too, it's in my top 3 rotation. The food is made to order so it does take a bit longer than industry standards. the food temp that I kinda griped about, well that also seems to be an industry wide standard, especially when colder type condiments cool things off. The folks working there have always been pleasant. So for what it is, I like it. I don't eat a lot of fast food, but recently I have, and it's given me a greater appreciation for Culvers. I'm glad it's fairly close by, and thanks for sending us those coupons in the mail, they come in handy! read more

I walk in hope to get a good meal. Then the manager starts yelling at at worker cause he could get anything right I watched a worker drop lettuce stuff it in his pocket. As a family from Wisconsin, we do love our cheese curds! Culver's has fantastic curds. It's not uncommon for us to just go there for curds and custard. The restaurant is always clean. A down side, which I can't hit them to hard for is they are often a bit disorganized and orders often take a long time due to the young workforce there. It's predominantly high school students. That being said, I'll be patient because they have to courage and drive to take a job and learn about the importance of what that offers you in life. So Kudos to Culver's for training and teaching them. Also the double bacon butter burger... get one, they are amazing! read more

Well, I just went to this Hales Corners Culver's and ordered two concrete mixers. Upon getting home and taking my spoon out, I noticed that the cover to my mixer was shattered and there are small pieces of plastic missing. This is the 2nd time that this has happened at this location, only the first time, I almost swallowed a large chunk of plastic. I just went about my night as I know things happen and shrugged it off... Tonight when it happened, I knew I had to call right away! When I called to talk to the manager, the boy who answered the phone never put me on hold and while I was waiting for the manager to take the call the boy said sarcastically ..."yeah, a manager call. Yeah I know, these are your favorite kind of calls." Then of course the "manager" took the phone and did not sound happy. I wasn't calling to ask for a refund or complain so much to get the coupons he offered me - my main concern is for all of those customers that get a concrete mixer and are unaware of the plastic being shattered and accidentally swallow a piece of plastic! Just a lawsuit waiting to happen, it's carelessness. Hopefully that does not happen, but the blame will fall into the manager's hands - and I bet he will regret being so nonchalant about it after he loses his job!!! read more

Every Culver's I've been to has been excellent. They always have polite people working and the food is great. Not at this one. The people working were rude. They gave us a number like they normally do. We stood by the fountain soda machine. Some worker called our number quietly and proceeded to put our food back before we could walk over. Why even give us a number then if you aren't going to look for it?!?! Just put a number on the receipt. Workers were randomly popping up at registers and helping who was ever in front of them. Culver's is just the best"fast" food around. It is fresh, consistent, always good. They are very transparent with food allergy information. But more than that the food is just darn good. In today's food market Culver's is good and solid and when grabbing dinner before a meeting. after being in the office all day, it is just great to have good and solid. I am sort of addicted to the Deluxe Double, with fries and drink basket. Yummy, but the when I get the grilled chicken sandwich I usually leave the Mayo off and ask for a side of sweet and sou, it is a very suitable substitue for the burger when i want something a little lighter. Please go and keep our local Wisconsin begun chain in business. I mean for the price of a footlong at Subway. I get a sandwivh, drink and side order at Culvelrs and well it isn't subway LOL. Honestly, if I do this review based on the food it's two stars. I won't even eat at Culver's anymore, it takes too long to get this food considering its fast food, and if you actually get it warm its way too greasy to the point it has a nasty aftertaste. The custard, however, receives four stars. Today we experienced a heat wave in Milwaukee of 45 degrees Fahrenheit, so I decided to indulge in their interesting take on Rocky Road, which I love. They also have other great favors like strawberry shortcake and chocolate eclair, but some fall flat like their candy bar based ice creams, which overdo the candy. We opted to eat in, and the wait from when we ordered, to when we received the food was close to 20 minutes.
