Service at this consistently gets worse and worse. Ever since changed owners has gone downhill. Wait times are ridiculously long. Food quality has decreased. Employees do not care and move at a snails pace regardless of how many orders are piling up. Orders are cleared off the boards without being served just to make times look good. Honestly there is not one redeeming part of this store. Culver's in general is good food. But not at this store. read more

I paid for 3 burgers but I only got 2 burgers so I lost $5. That pissed me off and they should double check.

as a local i cannot say i can come this location anymore with out fail they manage to take the longest, they either forget my order and make me sit for 15-25 min in my car just to throw me 1 voucher lol the owner of this place doesn't care about its employees because i always see new faces and i've been coming here for awhile now. sad. read more

My kids love this place, so we have been to this location many times. I have never had a bad service experience here. The Butterburgers are actually pretty good. I tend to get a triple with cheddar and mayo, so if you see me clutching my chest, assume it's an MI and pop a baby aspirin into my mouth and call 911. If I die though, it will be with a smile on my face. The chicken fingers are also quite good - meaty and fried just right without being over-done. The fries are always good and I sometimes can't believe it's essentially a fast food place. My kids like the soft serve treats, but it's not my bag. One of the few fast food chains I actually don't mind going to and I'm sure I will be back as long as the statin therapy can keep me going... read more

Yesterday, as soon as I walked in the store a counter person went over to the manager and pointed at me. They made some evidently hilarious remarks and stood laughing at me. The drive thru is extremely slow. Yes, I get it that this is a "park and wait" type of place, where they bring the food out to you in your car, and that they make it all fresh, but it's still a bit of a wait between ordering, paying and actually getting your food. The peanut butter cup shakes are worth it though, so I endure. read more

One of my favorite parts of coming to Culver's us how well it caters to kids. The kids meals are great and they give you a lot of food for the price. You can also get a free ice cream with a kids meal! This location has outdoor seating and there is relatively quick service. The burgers taste great but it is still a fast food restaurant so if you're looking for something healthy this would probably not be the best place to go. read more

The staff literally have zero clue on what they are doing. Taking someone's order is one of the easiest thing on the planet! I worked at a Culver's for 2 years so I understand the simplicity of it. Asked for a double cheeseburger with everything NO ketchup NO mayo. There is a button on the system that says "everything" and another button that says "no" on it. To ring that up all they needed to do was press Everything NO ketchup, NO mayo. The person ended up ringing that up incorrectly and my burger came with the things that I had specifically asked not to put on there...These people need to be properly trained on how to use the system and figure out the menu. Someone asked for tarter sauce next to me before I ordered and the worker had no idea what that was....uhhhhh excuse me? This location makes your blood pressure go through the roof. Save yourself some time and irritation and pass this location and go to the one on 28th street by the car dealership...yikes read more

All the tables in the dining area were dirty,the floors were a grand mess,when asked if they could clean one table & yet gave us a wet towelette to do so, if your willing to wait 2o minutes or longer for your "fast food" order then this is the place to go.. read more

I've never written a review before--but this experience was worth reviewing. My boyfriend and I visited this Culver's at 6:25pm. I stayed in the car with my 10 week old puppy while he ran inside for carry out. Altogether, we ordered one 4 piece nugget meal. 30 minutes after ordering, he still hadn't received our order. After kindly asking the manager for an update, the manager called back to the kitchen to get the 4pc nugget meal up, and my boyfriend was able to escape after a 40 minute wait. I don't know about you, but that's not fast food to me. He was compensated with a free meal box coupon, but it's only valid at the same location, and he doesn't even live in Grand Rapids. I work in the restaurant industry and I'm not one to get impatient with fellow restaurant workers, but 40 minutes for a single 4pc nugget and small French fry was extremely frustrating and a big oopsie must have happened along the line somewhere for that to happen. In my experience, this location runs quite slow compared to others and if I were you, I'd drive the extra two minutes for the significantly busier and significantly faster Chick-fil-A. Don't waste your time unless you're really craving a concrete mixer. read more

Generally Culver's is great, but this does not seem to be one of their better locations. The temperature in the restaurant was stifflingly hot. The young employee helping us was neither particularly helpful nor friendly. The wait for food - and for kids' custards - was a tad too long. However, their chocolate frozen custard will always rock, and the chili is also quite good! read more

Sorry Culvers East Beltine location. I have been going to this place 2-3 times per week since it first opened and have always had a good experience. My kids love the place. But I just got home from the restaurant. We visited on Friday, January 25, 2019. I am giving a one star review because the Ownership needs to take control of this place on Friday nights. The staff is out of control. There were 7-8 people working. A few were working diligently. But the rest were just having a big party. If the staff is going to just screw around from 8:30 - 10:00pm, then you should close at 8:30pm. One guy was just walking around with his hat on sideways talking with his buddies (some customers) and looking for his ride. He finally must have punched out, so he sat down and played music on his phone so that we could hear it--how considerate. Another young lady was also messing around with the same customers and couldn't wait to start stacking chairs and vacuuming. Here is a thought...wait until the place is closed before you start stacking chairs and vacuuming. The entire group of employees was certainly having fun...just generally fooling around, laughing, RUNNING around, and being loud--but I can tell you that it was extremely distracting and annoying to the customers. The closest approximation I can think of is when I used to visit my daughter's pre-school classroom, But worst was the LOUD girl who was cleaning the frozen custard machine. You could hear her through the entire restaurant. Her laughter and singing was the final straw and we had to leave. She was singing so loud that you could not get away from it in any corner of the restaurant. Then, when we were leaving she literally screamed--"Good bye, Have a good night". My kids actually asked to leave because of the environment. The loud girl, the sideways hat guy, and the vacuum-too-early girl were all very unprofessional and need to be dismissed tomorrow. They shouldn't be serving customers. They don't know how to act. It's not fair to the patrons who pay for the experience. I know it is hard to find good help these day--and it was second-shift in a fast food joint--but those three have to go. I am guessing there was no manager on duty. There is just no way that employees would act that way if a decent manager was on site. Shame on the franchise owner for being so out-of-touch and allowing a historically really nice family place to turn into such a disaster. read more

Amazing gourmet Midwestern fare on a budget. Great ButterBurgers and where else can you get frozen custard year-round in one of 400 different cities? Fish and chicken is always hot and tasty. Management makes sure workers speak English as their primary language - not a big ethnic customer base or playground for screaming kids. read more

They have the best shakes ever! Their shakes are so thick and taste so delightful. They have the best chicken that I have ever tasted, and trust me I have been to places where they are known for chicken! I would really happily recommend this to family, friends, and even strangers! read more
