The ambiance is pretty much what you'd expect at a Coney Island. Clean, simple and "diner" vibes. I hand had brunch here yet, but do enjoy the gyro! Overall a decent spot to grab lunch DT GT! 4/5 stars!

I think the Chicago dog and the Italian Beef with the au jus on the side were solid, but nothing to write back home to Chicago about. Better than Portillo's, kind of reminded me of Mr. Beef almost. Getting the sandwich wet is usually the rite of passage, but I went for the au jus on the side. Don't make the mistake I did. Everything just falls out of it when you tilt the sandwich to dip it. Also, if you think you can eat hot giardiniera peppers, just think for a quick sec longer because these ones were pretty hot for someone who has a decent heat tolerance.

We stopped in for a drink and ended up catching two different live jazz bands, which was such a great surprise and made it a really fun place to hang out for a while. We both had beers, shared a Chicago dog, and ordered wings. The Chicago dog was good, but the wings were advertised as crispy and unfortunately they were definitely not crispy. So I'd probably skip those next time. Other than that, service was good, prices were very reasonable, and we really enjoyed the laid-back atmosphere and live music. Nothing fancy, just a cool little local spot to grab a beer, listen to some jazz and hang out. We'd definitely stop in again--just not for the wings! they say crispy on the menu yeah not so much. The face wasn't dirty so that's nice. There is an outdoor seating area as well as indoor.

Considering it was a Saturday night, we didn't have too long of a wait without making reservations. Once we were seated, we were met with friendly wait service from our lovely waitress. For our appetizers, we ordered fried pickles and the steak bites, which were both delicious! For my entree, I ordered the Zuckerburger with a side of onion rings. As you can see from my photo, I couldn't wait to dig in! Man oh man, was that a great dinner!! The atmosphere here is also wonderful, upbeat and lively without being too overwhelming! I had read on a Facebook group about best Burgers in Grand Rapids that O'Briens was a couple of peoples favorite burger. I ordered the Rodeo Burger ($17). The burger itself was tasty enough, but a little meh. The onion ring was very good, the veggies were fresh, the Chipotle Bbq sauce was meh. Overall an above average burger that hits the spot, but you won't have dreams of it. It came with a ton of excellent fries though. I couldn't eat them all, but I wanted too. The service was super friendly and very efficient. Kept my drink nice and full, I appreciate that. Overall a 4 star review. Would I return? Yes, but I would try something else.

The waitress and host were friendly and our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Our drinks and food came out really fast. The food was amazing. The group ordered various things. The nachos are HUGE! We chose beef for the meat but you can also get chicken and I think something else. Come hungry if you order this one. It also came with sour cream and salsa at not up charge. We did add the queso for an additional $2. The chips, toppings were all very fresh. The meat was not greasy and plentiful. The other dishes were a Reuben sandwich and a turkey wrap. Both of those were advised to be really good. The tater tots that came as aside on one dish was good but we've had better. Overall, we would definitely come back here again.

They were pretty busy but our food came out so fast and the food came out just as fast for everyone around us. We ordered the large southwest salad and the large signature salad. The corn mixture in the southwest salad was so flavorful. The space is very big with several tvs with sports on every tv. It is a laid back, sporty place. They do have bathrooms.
