Visited Culver's while in Gilbert. The atmosphere was casual and family-friendly, and while the staff was polite, the overall service flow felt a bit off. This was my second visit, and I have to say it fared much better than my first. I tried the smash-style burger, which was seasoned nicely with their signature salt-and-pepper steak seasoning. The crispy, charred edges from the Maillard reaction gave it a really nice depth of flavor. I also had the Wisconsin cheese curds, which were a great companion -- golden-brown and crunchy on the outside with that classic squeaky, melted center. The only downside was the ordering setup. Having an employee standing in the driveway taking pre-orders felt a bit redundant and actually slowed the queue rather than speeding things up. BATTLE OF THE BURGERS Well Well Well, Culver's, you have made a case for your spot at the top of the burger throne in my book. Being my first time at Culver's I was actually impressed. CULVER'S DELUXE was a double patty full of meaty, juicy goodness that made me want to sink my teeth with each bite. This is reminiscent of what Wendy's was before the turn of the century, sadly. I think their hamburger is overall a better burger than In and Out honestly. For fast food, this burger was almost better than some of the sit-down restaurants. At almost the same price as a regular restaurant, the taste is arguable with the cost. CONCRETE MIXER- Culver's version of a Dairy Queen Blizzard or McDonalds McFlurry. It is also a fierce competitor for the fast food ice cream circuit. I think it is more smooth and creamy than it's opposition. Beware: it melts pretty fast. You might think that is a bad thing, but it's a good sign that it is actually made with actual milk and real ingredients. Culver's feels like a fast casual restaurant format. When you put your order, they give you a number marker and will call your number when it is ready or bring it to you if you are sitting. Drive thru or eat on the patio, the space is family-friendly but not so wallet-friendly, because it will cost ya, being on the higher end of the fast food chain prices. read more

This Culver's is next to my house so it's a good place to drop by when we want a fast meal and everyone is craving something different. The restaurant is typically clean and the service is fast and friendly. I ordered the NEW grilled chicken sandwiches. I'm glad I saw a small sign by the register that the sandwich was new prompting me to ask what was on it. They now add mayonnaise to their chicken sandwiches which they didn't do before, so I ordered it without mayonnaise. I also added onion and pickle which are not standard topping. The chicken breast and sandwich is plenty juicy without extra slop on it. The bun is soft but not mushy. The veggies gave it some depth and crunch. The fries today were hot and tasty. My son got the buffalo chicken tenders which he enjoys. The tenders are larger than most places. My wife turned in 10 'Scoopie' coupons for a free kids meal and got the corndog basket and a scoop of custard. For what Culver's is advertised to be, they do a good job and we will likely be here about once a month. read more

Came here after an appointment & I'm happy I did! Luke took my order & I was very impressed with his friendly persona & outstanding customer service. When my order was ready, he brought it to me himself & I thanked him. He is definitely deserving of recognition for these reasons plus he had the flow of customers handled so well. I had heard from a friend about how good the chili is here, so I got that, a drink, & an order of my favorite Culver's item, the cheese curds. I very rarely eat fast food, but one of my coworkers told me to give this place a shot, especially because I'm huge fish and chips fan and the family and I did! We also ordered their fried shrimp, a few different sandwiches/ burgers and their Mac and cheese. I was not disappointed at all! The service was wonderful and I was pretty surprised that they bring your food to your table and ask if you need anything else. Been seeing ads for their butter burgers and was curious how they stacked up to my other favorite fast food burger restaurant. The place is huge and there were a lot of customers in line. The menu is expansive! You order and they give you a number while you wait. It's made to order and I had to wait a long time. Too long for fast food in my opinion. Unfortunately the double cheese butter burger did not live up to the hype or my expectation. It was just so very bland. I added a ton of their thousand island sauce and even added extra onions and tomatoes but was still bland. They really need to season their beef patties. Definitely not worth almost $8 after taxes. All I wanted was to try their butter burger. The drive through line was very long so I decided to go inside and the lines were very long inside too. I thought to myself it must be a good sign. I had to wait a really long time for my double butter burger to go. The manager brought it out and he was very nice. I noticed he was checking every order and returning certain orders that wasn't right. I really appreciated that. I took my double butter burger home and was very disappointed as it had no flavor. Well I used to recommend this restaurant to people because I liked it. So on Tuesday February 3rd about 5:00 or 6:00 I suppose, I ordered a hamburger and meal on the app. I waited until I was a quarter mile away before I place the order. So I get it within 5 minutes after I park so I basically got the hamburger seven or eight minutes after I ordered it. Came with salad and pretzel bites. So ate the salad which was fine. Then I went to the burger. And the burger was less than appealing. It was flat and cold. Now mind you I only drove a mile and a half to my house. I've done it before and it's always been fine. Usually really hot by the time I get home. So I'm like I'm starving so I've been into it. Terrible, it was cold like I said, and smelled bad. I threw it on a plate and said damn it I'm hungry but I'm not eating that. So I left it there and my son walked by he's like hey there's a hamburger, so it takes a bite. He goes what the hell is wrong with this. And then he pulled out a rapper that was inside the sandwich. So I called Culver's and said what the problem was the hamburger was cold smell bad and it had a wrapper in it. They said well the only thing we can do is if you have to come back in here to get a refund I'm like man. I said okay I'll come back tomorrow. But then I got upset the more I thought about the rapper being in there and about it smelling bad. So I went in, and I asked for the management. So a kid is standing there, it's not his fault he's just young, and he's an assistant manager, he starts making an order. I like dude I'm not eating here again. I said I want a refund. Now mind you I spent like I don't know 15 or $16 not a lot. So he starts the refund he refunded me just a hamburger amount which was $5.50 or something. I asked him I said That's all you're not going to refund the whole thing? You looked at me and said, I don't know. I said well who's your boss, so he went back to talk to the assistant general manager of the store. He basically told him to give them whatever the hamburger cost. He would not come out and talk to me. So I said who wants this place I want their number. He said no we can't give that out. I thought that was weird, they don't have a business name that I can contact. He said no. He said the general manager will be in tomorrow. So I called today, and talked to the general manager. She basically said the same thing and didn't really care. I asked for the name of the business and the contact and she said well I'm the contact. I said okay. It took a few minutes before our food was ready. The Mushroom and Swiss Burger tasted okay to me and similar to what I remembered from before. There are actually a lot of Culvers around. I don't know when they started growing their business in Arizona but they seem to be in a lot of places. I am shocked. I don't feel like I used to go to Culvers until some what recently. I think they got their start in another state. I hadn't tried much of their food until recently in my mind. Not too many of my friends and family know about them despite their many locations. I had their hamburger and their custard and their fries. I really like their fries and custard. They rotate out their custard flavor of the day. I even like their plain vanilla custard. I don't think I have tried their chocolate custard. You can get hot chocolate syrup on the vanilla custard along with a lot of different topping choices. The custard is smooth, creamy, and flavorful. For a fast food burger, one of the better chains IMO. burgers are cooked to order and my order was hot and fresh even right before they closed which I really liked. Drive thru line was a bit long getting close to closing but the staff were fast and got the line going. Waited a bit or picking up my food but it was worth it for the freshness. Got a burger fries and chicken tenders. Burger was hot and juicy with a nice buttered bun, the fries were hot and crispy, the chicken tenders were so-so but the buffalo flavor on them were solid. Got plenty of sauce/condiments which was nice. The entire meal was less then $20 so in my book it was a solid good value. I'm a fan. read more

We were craving a quick bite to eat before a storm on a Friday evening and ended up doing pick-up order at Culver's. Culver's has a wide range of offerings from burgers, chicken sandwiches, French fries, Wisconsin Cheese Curds, and much more! After looking through their menu, we had decided to order the following The Wisconsin Melt (Beef Patty, Cheese, and bread) ButterBurger Cheese Pretzel Bites with Wisconsin Cheddar Cheese We took the meal back to the hotel. Unfortunately, the Wisconsin Melt didn't travel well. The bread was soggy and the burger patty was cold. The Butterburger cheese was good! The best part of the meal was the Pretzel Bites with Wisconsin Cheddar Cheese. The Pretzel bites was delicious! The Wisconsin Cheddar Cheese blended well with the pretzel bites. If Culver's was located in Las Vegas, I would come back to this restaurant just for the Pretzel Bites and the Wisconsin Cheddar Cheese sauce! Came here because we were starving! It was around 2:30 PM and we hadn't eaten all day. The Culver's restaurant seemed small in comparison to other locations throughout Arizona. The inside was very dirty. The restrooms were dirty with water and paper towels all over the countertops and floors. The fountain drink area was filthy with water, sticky soda spills, and straw wrappers all over the place. Tables were dirty. When we ordered, we asked for a single patty hamburger basket. The lady taking our order immediately asked if we wanted a basket. Ummmmm, we just told you a basket! They did not listen when we were ordering. The order was correct, surprisingly. Food was made to order. The gentleman who took my order was very nice and spoke when I arrived and thanked me when I walked out. Not very busy. The food was fresh. The portion size of the fish was small and the price was 6.49 for a sandwich with no cheese lots of lettuce and tartar sauce. I gave it a 4/5 because everyone was friendly and the sandwich was tasty.
