We stopped here on our way to St. Louis and on the return trip back home. Our first visit deserved 4 stars. We stopped on a Wednesday night for dinner at about 6:30. There were plenty of servers and we got our meal quickly. The restrooms were spotless and the women's restroom had fresh cut flowers. On our return trip we did not have such a good time. We decided to get our meal to go but went inside to order. Apparently this is a hot spot to visit after church on Sunday morning as there were lots of dressed up people, but not many Culver's employees. After a painfully long wait to order, we waited even longer for our food. We saw many of the church people get to the counter place their order, go sit down and get their food delivered to their table. Meanwhile we stood around waiting. Our order was a salad, 2 orders of chicken fingers, 2 burgers and some fries. Nothing complicated, not even any drinks! Yet it took over 15 minutes to get our food. I could see it if everyone else had to wait for food, but we were the only ones waiting! Everyone else was being served and some of the people had more food than us! I have food allergies and am stuck with a salad most of the time at these places anyway, so I'm making sure we stop somewhere else next time. I'm already in the car for 5 hours, so I don't want to wait a long time for food! read more

Very clean establishment. Plenty of staff to handle a busy lunch rush. Food was hot and tasted good, only issue was I got tomatoes on my burger when I didn't orders them. Not the end of the world, I just took them of. But since this is a review I thought I would mention it. We will be back. read more

This is a nice place, clean and well kept. It is not much different than other Culver's that I have visited. It is right off the highway so this is an easy stop during road trips. The Spicy Chicken sandwich was good, the fries were a bit over salted. The Dr. Pepper was better than most fountains I've gotten from though, it was just the right mix of syrup and carbonization. Staff was friendly, I got a trainee so the service was a bit slower than it probably would have been but it was still great. The restrooms were clean and well kept for being a roadside diner. The custard was not as good as other Culver's but it was still of good quality. read more

Stopped here because while on a road trip I was looking for places with Gluten Free options. They have them! Burger came out plain no bun with a GF bun in its own wrapper to prevent cross contamination. Fries are unfortunately not fried in a dedicated fryer and are cross contaminated so all I got was the burger. They do have GF sides and desserts as well. Culver's is a good place to eat and offered a wide selection of food. One pet peeve is if you order any ice cream, mixer, etc when going through the drive through, they give you you item and then have to wait on the food. By the time you get your food and get home the the item is melting. It double be nice if it was brought out with food to keep it as cold as it can be read more

usually I dont do this but I ordered a sandwich specifically with crispy bacon, I recieved soggy fat bacon, so for the $1 I had to pay for the bacon I wanted bacon I felt I could eat. I went in and kindly asked for crispy bacon, to which the cook had a full on meltdown. she began yelling things like "burn that", "I just cooked that I dont wanna do it again" etc. Like, first off Im sorry i even ordered bacon--I didnt know it would be this big of a deal. This fit lasted probably 5 or 6 minutes and the whole store got involved IT WAS SO AWKWARD(I just wanted to run out), honestly i thought my food was going to be spit in or messed up even more so I just asked for my money back. Being residents of Wisconsin and having stopped at the original Culvers in Sauk, we always try to stop at our favorite eatery on our travels. Having evan stopped at the Bloomington Culvers in the last year,we were surprised to find ropes to the ordering area and areas set aside to wait for your orders. With one other customer in front of me,( which he pointed out that I coundn't cut) , there was one employee taking orders. With our orders taken, a double patty with cheese and nothing else, we waited for about 10 minutes. This is probably the worst Culvers location that we have visited. There are locations in the pan handle of Florida that have opened in the last year that our superior in their service. We will continue on to Wisconsin to stop from now on. read more

I know this is semi fast food but at least it is clean and everything is always hot! If you want a quick bite and delicious custard this is the place to go. It is always always always clean which is awesome. Everything is always super hot and made to order. There salads are great. Day 354: St. Louis Road Trip: Culver's: We had never actually been to a Culver's before, and so decided to give it a shot as we drove through the city late Sunday night. I couldn't tell you how my taste buds would register it in the light of day, but man, burgers, fried cheese and onion rings are great road trip food. Also, the teenager behind the counter was unusually good at steering us bewildered out-of-towners in the correct culinary direction. I hope that someday, that kid owns that Culver's. read more

butter burgers are the best: If you go to this place you can expect some good burgers. I usually get the double cheeseburger basket and its excellent. Its always hot and fresh and they load up the fries most of the time. My girlfriend is a veg head so she gets the tuna melt and fries and she really likes that. She also enjoys the turtle sundae as its pretty tasty.I myself usually go for a concrete mixer with reeses peanut butter cups & cookie dough mmmmmmmm is all i can say. i had to cut back though because of my waistline though. This place is always real clean and everyone is always nice. the lady manager is always in good spirits and looks like a nice person to work for.I also like the fact that last spring they were closed one day because of a employee picnic.I think its great that an employer does that for there employees.I also am glad to see they were closed on Easter so they can spend it with there families and loved ones. I look at like this you can go to the golden arches and get a meal deal for $4.50 or go to culvers for $1.00 more and get a real good meal thats tastes much better. read more

This evening we went to Culver's on Market Street to have one scoop flavor of the day. Our server stood around talking after taking our order even though there were no other customers. He finally went to make our ice cream after I gave him a look. He asked which size cup he should put our ice cream in. As he was filling up the cups another server came up to him and made him dump it out right in front of us. He put about a forth a cup of ice cream in an already too small cup! We paid over $5.00 for a total of a half cup of ice cream!!! When he handed us the now runny ice cream I made the remark that it's bad customer service to dump the ice cream out right in front of the customer. He looked at me and laughed which infuriated me and prompted this review. I will not be back for runny too small portioned ice cream. read more

Honestly, I normally love Culver's, but this is the second time in a row they've disappointed me with frozen custard. Both mine and my boyfriend's concrete mixers were melting, they weren't filled enough, and they barely mixed any cookie dough in - it's like they just took the crumbs from the bottom of a container and mixed them in. I just didn't get the satisfaction I normally do from the ice cream, and typically I consider coming here a treat. To be honest, I think I would've rather just saved the $8 and gone to Oberweis. read more

As good food as any other Culver's, but the bathrooms here are absolutely tiny. Two stalls in the women's bathroom, one stall and one urinal in the men's. The size of this Culver's requires bathrooms about three or four times the size. It is right off a major interstate so it is generally always busy. If you are by yourself you might be ok, but don't even think about taking two or three kids with you to the bathroom during lunch time. read more

Whoever is the manager here deserves an award. SUPER friendly staff! All the staff workers were smiling--an unusual sight at a fast food chain. They actually looked happy to be working on a cold Sunday afternoon. One of the workers (the manager?) walked around asking each table if everything was alright and if they needed anything. The service was also speedy and the staff looked like they worked well together and had great morale. I considered writing to their headquarters to remark at how nice and efficient the service was here! I hope they keep it up. I may not ever visit again because I just ate there while passing through, but it was definitely memorable, so I had to review it. read more

This is the deal with fast food, I trade time and money for taste and experience. So what I should have expected was an average meal for a lower cost at a pretty fast pace. Sadly I got just a fraction of what I expected. It took quite a while to get my food out to me dispute my simple burger and fries order. The cost was mediocre in my opinion since the food was good, but not good enough for the cost. The most tragic of all this I got home and looked to see I didn't have my order. Although Culver's has good food, the drive-through service is terrible. Last Saturday morning I waited 25 minutes for a fish sandwich and fries. Apparently, they had given the same number to four different cars and had mixed up the orders. They lost my order and asked for my receipt (thank goodness I requested a receipt!). We probably eat here almost once a week because my wife loves Culvers. I think overall the hamburgers are pretty good. If watching your budget they have several meals under $4 that come with the burger, small fries and small drink. But they have many other sanwhiches and meal items as well. Besides the burgers, to me it looks like the major attraction for the public is Culvers frozen custard. read more
