For the stylist I could see this as a positive as they have the room to operate their business, and the openness allows for ease of communication and community with the other stylist and patrons. As a client though you lose a bit of privacy. Getting your hair done is an intimate process so I'm not as comfortable as I was when she was in a private suite. And it can get distracting when you can hear conversations, music, and noise from the other stylist. Nonetheless, whatever works best for my stylist that allows her to do her best work is alright with me.
