Our husbands did not. Apparently, "Couples Massage" at The Ritz begins by separating the couples and seeing whether they can eventually locate each other. Luxury team building. Magnolia was lovely: peaceful, elegant and so corporate-looking we had an urge to check our work email. The birthday refreshments? Gummy bears and sugary pretzels in glass vases. Finally: our luxurious 100-minute full-body massage with CBD oil and aromatherapy. **Welcome to Minimalist Urban Chic Massage™.** My request: firm upper body, medium lower body. My left arm? Perhaps a small woodland creature entered the treatment room. We may never know. I expected, "I'm sorry. This isn't the experience we want our guests to have." Instead, I felt questioned and dismissed. If the Titanic had Craig aboard, I imagine him standing proudly on deck saying: "With all due respect, ma'am, our ships don't hit icebergs." Craig, we salute you. Almost $500 per person taught us about "Minimalist Ritz Luxury" less massage, less warmth, less celebration, less customer service. More gummy bears. Luxury isn't marble, robes or a famous name. It's attention to detail, making guests feel cared for and listening when something goes wrong. And luxury isn't charging almost $500 for a massage because the building says Ritz-Carlton on the outside. If you're looking for paradise without leaving Dallas, keep looking. I have been going to Carolyn at the Dream Spa for years and I can't say enough nice things about her and the services and products she offers. She is completely committed to her profession and clients and it shows. Literally. I'm in my fifties but no one believes me when I tell them that. "No Way!" is the usual response. Never gets old hearing that. Like most women, I've lived a lifestyle that has not been exactly good to maintaining a youthful appearance. I smoked for years, was a sun worshipper, and don't drink enough water. The latter of which, Carolyn nags me about :). My way of pampering myself is monthly facials with Carolyn. She makes them a wonderful, relaxing experience. She's extremely knowledgeable of the marketplace - what's good for your skin and what is not. This is her passion. She researches, attends seminars, and networks with others in the industry to bring the best products and latest procedures to her clients. I have complete faith in her integrity and skill. She is a caring, understanding person who makes you feel like the most important person on the planet while you are there. The facial was completely soothing and rejuvenating. My skin is very dry but when I left, my face glowed and I felt completely peaceful and happy. I have gone to Carolyn a few times now and each time she has done a fantastic job with my facial. I have gone to many places for facials but Carolyn is the absolute best with performing extractions and and making me feel overall just very relaxed and comfortable. When the facial is finished, even after multiple extractions, my skin needs no time to recover because she is so precise and gentle. She is also wonderful at explaining the products she uses and recommending products for my skin (and I am very picky about what I put on my skin). Every time I go to her, I find that she is very easy to talk to and is a great listener. I certainly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a very well done facial and/or a place to truly relax. I was apprehensive -- I mean, who ilkes needles, right? -- but Jane patiently explained the whole process to me and that made me feel much more comfortable. After removing my makeup, Jane applied a numbing cream so that I would be more comfortable during the procedure. About 20 minutes later, she began the needling on my newly-numbed face. Jane uses the latest and greatest equipment, and she changes out the needling tips for every client -- not all spas do this, because it's expensive -- and that's one of the reasons why I trust Jane with my skin. While I wouldn't call the needling part exactly relaxing -- because it's a little jarring the first time -- the results were amazing. As she needled each section, she applied a serum product to absorb into the skin, and sent me home afterward with a deeply hydrating mask for use later that evening. My skin looked a tiny bit sunburned afterward -- I am very fair -- but it wasn't bad at all. The next morning, it looked amazing -- glowy and firm. I've been seeing her for almost two years and even after I moved out of town I don't want anyone else to touch my brows! I get them done by her every time I'm back to visit. The way she shapes them is so simple that they grow back in a good shape, meaning i can go longer between waxes. Find you someone who cares about the quality of her work instead of how frequently you come in. Do yourself a favor and go see Erica.

Lash Lift and Brow Lamination and Sugaring…read more First off... everyone needs to run and get a Lash Lift! It's something you never knew you needed until you get it. It looks like I'm wearing a very natural eyeliner and mascara but I'm not... it's just from getting a Lash Lift. I had no idea I even had these lashes until now... it's just ahhhmazing! The process for the lash lift is super easy, you just lie on the aesthetic table face up with eyes closed, relax, and let Grace do her thing... it takes about 30 minutes or less and it's completely painless, no discomfort at all. On to the brow lamination and sugaring. I've tried waxing and threading; this is the first time I've tried sugaring and it's my new fave. I did not get red or swollen and it was not nearly as painful as both waxing or threading... I could barely tell she was even doing anything. For the lamination... she did a fantastic job with the color and shaping of my brows... they needed alot of help. I will definitely be returning to Grace for my next treatment... can't wait for my facial!

I had an appointment with Gillian today and she was awesome. From the second I stepped in, it was a vibe. Super clean and very poshly decorated! First she talked with me about my skin concerns and overall routine. Then she gave me a breakdown of what she would be doing over the 1 hour facial. The time literally flew by and I was so relaxed by the end. My face is a little red (but we did do a fair amount of extractions and my skin is pretty sensitive to begin with!). Gillian even sent a follow up text for some skin care treatment recommendations over the next few days and sent me home with 2 samples to try out as well.
