WAITED 8 YEARS TO POST MY REVIEW !!! Art232 Model in 2013 (Purchase date) The grill and side burners have created years and years of memories! It has been a focal point of conversation, much as the view! Also, it has never been covered and therefore was open to the elements of direct sun, rain and dust BUT cleaned weekly with some water then a WD40 dampened rag and low and behold: There are no pits nor discoloration as of today (2021) Grill looks brand new as some of the picture are only 2 weeks ago and are indistinguishable from the pictures 8 years ago!!! read more

Great shop with friendly, knowledgeable people. Nice selection of quality products, especially woods for smoking and seasonings. Every customer is greeted and offered a cold beverage, even a beer from the tap. From a simple Weber Jumbo Joe to a full custom barbecue island these guys can do it all. Maybe I just can't find it, but this company has no website and no pricing information online. Note to Small Businesses: A Facebook page is not a website!! It's 2020 and I'm not going to drive all over S. Florida comparing information and prices! I don't just buy the cheapest price, and I'm willing to pay more for service, selection, and helpfulness. But I'm not wiling to just drive in and see what you have at what price. You should list the information and prices for your equipment. Culinary Concepts in Pompano doesn't do so, or if they do I can't find it, so I bought online from someone who was willing to price and list what items they had for sale. read more

Purchased my Big Green Egg from them after moving to the area almost three years ago. The BGE has been perfect and in fact one of the best purchases I've made. The staff has always been warm and welcoming, never have I felt to be an inconvenience. Whenever I have a question, albeit cooking or product, they always take the time to answer it. Last year my wife bought one of my Christmas gifts from them and they made sure she had the right product. As long as I live in the area they will be my go to source for our smoking and grilling needs. And I guess I could save a few bucks and order items on line, but 1's and 0's from a website cannot provide the customer service this business does. I love my local business guys. Dean has everything you could need. I have a Webber and a Big Green Egg and I get all of my accessories and cool items there. A huge benefit is that they always have a cold beer and something hot off the grill to sample as well as some cool local guys hanging out...no doubt for the free beer and food:) Dean is also a big supporter of local charities and an all around good guy. Great staff, Great place, great prices. I went here looking for charcoal for my big green egg ( small version ) I ended leaving with a medium size egg, charcoal and much more. The price I got was amazing, the knowledge I got was priceless and the fun I have had has been timeless. This location goes out of the way to make a customer feel great, so much that even when I had not been there in a couple months ( to hot to work the egg ) I went back after a roof fire mishap and my egg got burnt up, I needed to order a few replacement parts, the two they had in stock the owner just gave to me. I will be back, I will continue to support them and I will tell you to do the same. Don't go to a hardware store for your grilling needs, you wouldn't go to a clothing store to have a tooth pulled so why not go to the store where the professionals are. Dean ad the whole crew have been been so helpful through the years, answering every question we have. They have a great selection of cool grilling gadgets and are a wealth of information on the tools and techniques to make us successful. I wanted to buy an XL big green egg and a table and all of the accessories after traveling to Atlanta and visiting the BGE HQ. I came on home Friday, went to a local "platinum" dealer that saturday and spoke to someone who needed to get a quote on the table for me. I got no call back on Monday. I called again on Tuesday, spoke to someone "yes, yes the XL egg. We're in a meeting but I'll call you right back" and no call back. Left a voicemail on Weds and again no call back. Thursday night I emailed Culinary Concepts off their website and had a quote in my inbox the next day. Spoke with Dean and he helped me pick out all of the accessories and what not I needed and we scheduled delivery for the following week. I live in Wellington, Culinary Concepts is in Pompano and yet they delivered! I tried buying the Egg from two closer stores and neither could get their act together yet Dean and the folks at Culinary Concepts were on their A game. I purchased the Genesis II SE-335 grill over the weekend and it was promptly delivered on Tuesday. I couldn't be more pleased with my purchasing experience. My salesman, Dean, was so pleasant and answered all my questions in a helpful manor. He anticipated what I was trying to ask about for comparison, even though I couldn't quite articulate my inquiries. Even though Weber Grills are priced by the company and are the same everywhere, I returned to and choose Culinary Concepts for a number of reasons. First of all, Dean was the most helpful and, well, nice. Secondly, it occurred to me that if I should ever need the grill serviced, unlike the big box stores, Culinary Concepts actually does provide repair services. And thirdly, my salesman Dean, threw in a bonus that was greatly appreciated. I bought a Big Green Egg from Dean and the gang years ago, and I've been happily egging ever since. They have all the tools you need, a great selection of wood chips and chunks for smoking, and best of all they have the knowledge to push you forward with your smoking and grilling. Hang out for a bit (free beer!) and chat with the guys and customers and learn new techniques and recipes. A relaxed environment, just like a day BBQing with friends. I have been in the store several times over the past few years. I like the fact that the store has different items which the big box stores don't have, the specialty items that is, and the fact that they try to cater to people with beer on tap while you shop. The beer on tap is a unique and cool offering. But, the prices are high and the staff is somewhat snobby. I understand the store is a specialty shop, but why gouge people on the price, never negotiate the price and as if their store is the best around. The experience left a bad taste in my mouth after talking with them about several items. In the end, I ordered the same items they stocked via the web from competitors and saved hundreds of $. This goes to show that the 'old school' specialty store owners need to open their eyes to the new way of selling items and being competitive. I give it 3 stars because it is an OK store to look around in, but 2 stars on their prices and sales practices. read more

Specifically...my husband was scrambling to replace our grill just days before our Super Bowl Party, we checked out the "big box chain" mega stores for help. We ended up just wasting gas. These places had limited inventory options and marginal trained knowledge to answer questions. Culinary Concepts was worth the drive!!! Dean set it up as a true "experience"...not just a line up of inventory. The showroom is like a gigantic home where you can see and compare voluminous product options. WOW! His selections were amazing. His knowledge was exceptional and clearly fueled by his genuine love of his products. He is a walking encyclopedia of knowledge with a great personality. Our visit there was a perfect end to our search that spanned what seemed like most of South Florida. He had just what we wanted in stock and within only 12 hours, he personally had it set up in our home and trained us on how to use it. Most other stores depend on outside sources with restricted schedules to set up who have limited knowledge and troubleshooting capabilities.
