This is an update to my 2023 review and why I would first look to Albers for an appliance before one of those big box stores. I had a relatively small issue with the installation of my dryer which was bought 2 years ago. The coil was torn and disconnected from the back of the machine. It was probably torn by one of my cats, but Albers said they could come over in a few days and they did! They even were here before I called to remind them. It is so much easier to deal with an individual owner than an employee. Please don't let the negative reviews deter you from giving Albers a chance. read more

I cannot understand anyone giving this place a good review last year I bought an AC window air conditioner through the wall for over $700 within 12 hours. The machine broke down by the way it was much cheaper in Brandsmart. They refuse to come and take it back told me to have it serviced. It was under warranty in the middle of the summer. This was what I was dealing with no air in a bedroom. They are one of the rudest self-serving companies around go to Brandsmart for all of your appliances. Dan was the worst person to deal with. How do you not take back one of your appliances that breaks within 12 hours before you deal with this company look at your consumer services department they've got enough negativity reviews on them. read more

I bought several appliances over the years from Alpers Appliance. A few years ago I had to replace a range hood and they were ever so helpful. So today I called wanting to replace my double ovens. Whoever I spoke to was the exact opposite of helpful and basically cutoff the conversation after two minutes saying "best of luck to you". I did not use irate words in the conversation because I was so dumbfounded afterwards. I don't know if ownership or management has changed but I will not be reccomending Alpers to friends or family. I came back to buy a dishwasher today as my is fried. Dan tried to sell me the cheapest model which I later saw for 100 less. Then the one I liked was $200 more than it was at Best Buy. I was trying to find one that was middle of the road and a descent price. He tells me that I need to decide if I want a truck or a van and that I should go look elsewhere. Absolutely, with no problem. I can buy appliances in 10 different places but wanted to give the business to a mom and pop type shop. I ended up buying from Home Depot where I got a great price, free delivery and just 79 for installation. Albers charges 150 for delivery and installation. Costco.com has limited selection but free delivery, installation, parts, hall away and twotwo year factory warranty. read more

I bought a clothes dryer from Albers. It was so easy. The two installers arrived on time the next day to set it up. It took 30 minutes and the old one was replaced by a new one. The price was in line or better. I have a wall oven and a washing machine from Albers already, and they all work beautifully. read more

If I could give a 0 star rating I would have. Purchased a brand new refrigerator from Dan owner of Albers Appliance in ft Lauderdale in May 2021. Was delivered September 2021. After 4 weeks the refrigerator stopped cooling. They sent a repairman who took my blow dryer and thawed something out. It did work.... Temporarily. I went back home to NY and returned to my vacation home January 19, 2022. I plugged it in and it worked for about 3 weeks and stopped cooling. I called Albers for repair and they said it would be 5 days before they could come and had me call Flamingo Service. I did not have any other option as it is warranty work. They came out in 2 days.. said they repaired it ( in 10 min) and left. By 9 pm NO COLD AIR. I texted the repair guy he said he would come by the next day. NO SHOW. Texted him Tuesday night. He forgot. He came Wednesday. He said he ordered 3 parts and will be back next Wednesday. Now I leave for NY the day after that. I truly believe I got a Lemon Albers appliance, who took my money and my extended warranty money said there is NOTHING. They can do. It's now my responsibility to contact Whirlpool. Best experience ever. After years of the big box stores for appliances I stumbled upon Albers. They ordered and installed my new SpeedQueen washer in days. Years later I find myself needing to replace my gas stove and gas dryer. Of course I called Albers and Dan guided me through to the best appliances for me (he could have sold me the more expensive ones but he didn't). I live in a old condo on the beach, which I rent. We had issues with 2 older appliances that needed to be replaced, and where in a very confined space. To remove and replace these units, tile, doors, and molding had to be replaced. The management company referred my landlord to Albers. This company handled it all. Every person from the one that answered the phone to the actual people that removed, installed, and replaced the damaged molding were exceptional.. It is very comforting to work with a company who actually wants to work, and takes care of it's customers. As a result of my interaction with Albers, I am convinced that there is still hope for our American Workforce!!!! read more

Albers Appliance saved me! I had bought a dishwasher for my vacation rental property from Best Buy and they were supposed to install it today. When I called this morning to confirm the deliver time, they told me that I was not on the schedule and they wouldn't be able to deliver/install it for another 3 weeks. I have guests checking into the property tomorrow so I was freaking out. I called Albers and explained the situation. They had a comparable dishwasher in stock for a great price. Called Albers to repair our Whirpool washer that we believed has a balancing issue after me moved it. The tec came- did not even try the unit, and said this how it is. CHARGED US $145 for literally 1 minute eye check and left! Afterwards Whirpool serviced the unit and thankfully repaired it. ALBERS IS A SCAM that just robe people for nothing!! read more

Terrible customer service which is funny because they don't have the lowest prices. I bought a Friedrich A/C from them 5 years ago and it died almost to the day the warranty ended. I was going to buy a new one from them but they were $100 more expensive than Brandsmart for the exact model. So our fridge went to dust at 2am :( after several big box store visits where we were told 5 days until we could get a fridge. We went into albers and they had two stainless steel counter depth fridges in stock ( others we could've ordered) and installed same day within an hour. Very nice and had a great experience! I am visiting my cousin in Miami who was in need of a new washer and dryer.. I'd lived here 2 years ago and used Albers to help me then and they were great.. My cousin ordered her washer and dryer over the phone after sending pictures of the difficult space they had to go in and was told she could have regular sized appliances which would be a big upgrade from what she had..Dan was great.. he recommended a basic washer and dryer from Whirlpool which he said would be better than what she had now.. so he wasn't trying to sell the most expensive products. They came out the next day, installed everything.. got the old ones out and took them away.. we are washing now in delight.. Thank you Albers.. you're awesome.. If you are thinking of buying an appliance at Albers please read this first! My wife and I have bought several appliance and had a few repairs from Albers Appliance because we like to patronize local Mom and Pops rather than big box stores like Home Depot. Naturally, when we needed a new oven and range we went back to them. When we met with one of the two brothers who own the place we asked him for advice on whether to stay with a coil top range , which we had, or switch to a flat top. We were told the major difference was cosmetic, ease of cleanup and the price. We were happy enough with our coil top and bought the one they had in stock. When we discovered that the coils weren't getting hot enough, I called, thinking they would come out a fix it. Imagine my surprise when I was advised by Dave, the other brother, that the US gov't had mandated the use of cooler coils for safety reasons. The brother ( I think Dan ) who sold us the oven knew this perfectly well ( even though Dave tried to weasel about it ) Why weren't we told this most important difference between the two? The response from Dave was downright shocking , surprising, and dismaying. He loudly and rudely proceeded to claim what me and my wife had said to his brother although he was not there. Contrary to what he shouted at me we specifically came looking to decide between the two methods. He then, incredibly, told me HOME DEPOT wouldn't have told me either! To be treated in this uncalled for lying, rude, and thoroughly disgusting manner by a neighborhood business with whom we have done business for years is mystifying. I was treated like I was trying to return a used car. If you are thinking of doing business with these people think twice! read more

If I could leave zero stars, I would. If you are an individual attempting to purchase residential appliances for your home, I do not recommend this business. I sought to work this company as they are a local mom and pop business. In February, we ordered a washer from Albers. Due to current supply chain issues and market conditions, it was understandable that delivery of the ordered product would be delayed. We were initially promised delivery in May. Thereafter, we were promised delivery in June. We had not heard from them in the latter part of June, so we reached out. Now, they inform us that they are not expecting delivery of the product anytime this year. When I explained to them it was incumbent upon them to let their customers know about this, I was berated and I was informed by Dan they had no obligation to do so. Sure, no such obligation may exist. However, any business interested in providing satisfactory customer service, would make the effort of letting their customers know about supply and delivery issues. Obviously, Dan and Albers are not interested in providing good customer service. What was most shocking during our conversation was that Dan said they have been out of the business of residential washers for many months now. In other words, they had no ability to deliver the ordered product for many many months now. Despite being out this business, they never informed us of this even though we would call at least on a monthly basis to check on the status of an order. It's a shame that this local business is not interested in treating their customers and frankly, we have been mislead. I do not recommend this company whatsoever for the purchase of appliances. read more

Today I called the Hollywood location for a price on a home speed queen washer. I didn't want to drive all the way from Coral springs to find out you didn't have what I wanted. The lady over the phone shut me down so quick, I could feel her non willingness to help me in her tone, She said they didn't deliver to Coral springs and could not help me, said it twice in a manner of don't bother me and waste my time. Good Customer Service and Good Salesmanship would have been to suggest I rent a small van or truck to pick it up myself. She hung up before I could even finish saying thank you. Albers is my go to place for all my appliances. I have been purchasing stuff from them for over a decade now and never had a problem. Every so often I price out what I am looking at against Sears and on-line and I consistently find Albers the most reasonable. They are knowledgeable and so easy to work with. My most recent purchase was a washer and dryer a couple months ago and Dan took the time to explain to me the different machines, feature differences and was spot on with his recommendation for which would probably work best for me after asking me questions. Their delivery and installation people (another vendor) also live up to the level of service that Albers provides and are nice, professional and neat. The reason that I am giving one star is because their repair man brought German roaches into our apt with his rolling tool case!!!! After 15 YEARS living here with NO BUGS of any kind we saw the first roach the day he came into our apt and ran out of his bag. Also when they brought the new appliance.That day the nightmare began.We have spent more on the exterminators than what the appliance costed and the professional still do not have it undercontrol after almost two years. read more

Well, this review is really about a workman sent out to my house on August 28, 2016. He was here to repair a washing machine. Turns out I am missing a highly coveted tool (and yes of course it is irreplaceable, besides the emotional attachment). I am very organized and even questioned him while he was still here. He did not say yes or no just glanced down at the floor. He had already walked out to his truck. Funny, it has been four weeks and it never did turn up. I had just used it that very afternoon AND he was the only person there when it went missing. Dave at Alber's said, "he doesn't even know what that is". Hard to believe. Every other American I asked knew immediately. Pity. I have always loved Alber's. Life is busy. Nobody has time to babysit repairman. Saddened. read more

The salesman Dave LIED to me. He told me that the descriptions of the washer and dryer were from an older model (even though the model numbers were the same) and that the more expensive washer and dryer had steam settings (I wanted at least one). Out and out lied! By the time I figured it out, both units were installed and the installer was gone. read more
