Mardey's sent a highly recommended repair person Lucas to my house to check on my electric range. My oven fan was making a noise, but still worked and I wanted to be proactive and have it looked at. Lucas looked at the range and confirmed it was the fan. Even though I was paying 90 dollars for the house call, they sent me an estimate for 298 to lubricate the fan barring or 398 to replace the fan. That was my option. He would not WD40 the fan as part of the house call since he had the back off the stove anyways nor did he do any other service. I sent him on his way, pulled out the stove, took off the back, sprayed WD40 on the fan motor and have not heard the sound since. If it was not for my regular appliance repairman would not work on a Samsung appliance, I would have never call them for a repair. As it is I learned two lessons never use Mardey's for any repairs and do not buy a Samsung appliance. read more

I ordered a Kitchenaid Microwave/Convection oven from them that was listed on Ebay as "New condition with no wear." I paid for the oven through Ebay, and then received a notice that my order had been cancelled. I contacted Mardedy's, and they told me to just pay them directly. Without thinking, I did what they said and paid them directly. When I received my oven, it was not what they had advertised. The oven had scratches and was obviously used. We could tell that the oven had been installed and removed. I contacted Ebay, and at that point, realized that since Mardey's had cancelled my order through Ebay, I was not longer covered through the Ebay moneyback guarantee. After multiple phone calls and emails, Mardey's agreed to give me a partial refund of $572.78, if I paid for the return. I had already paid them $159.51 for shipping the oven to me, and had to pay another $99.91 to ship the oven back. They only refunded me $408.63--they didn't even refund me for the tax they originally charged me! At this point, they still owe me $164.13. I would warn people to stay away from this company. I should've known it was a red flag when they cancelled my order through Ebay. The person I talked to at Mardey's told me that they could save a lot of money by not selling through Ebay! That is why they cancelled my original order through Ebay and told me to pay directly to Mardey's. That is dishonest! I lost a lot of money--total investment of $773.71 and only $408.63 refunded. I have had Mardey's out twice over the past year. The first was an ice maker repair on my LG refrigerator a d the second was a repair on my dishwasher. Both service technicians called prior to arrival and showed up at the scheduled times, always a bonus in S. FL. They were very knowledgeable and polite. Since the refrigerator never worked it was an inanimate object in my kitchen for 5 months, I said I'd be waiting by the door for them. I can't prove but contend they sold me a refrigerator they knew didn't work and then hid behind the the manufacturer when I asked them for help. I found a recommendation for Mardey's on NextDoor. They were fabulous. I had a washer that would not spin. They scheduled me for same day service. The initial service fee was $75, however that is if I used them to do the repair, that fee is not charged. The service tech explained exactly what the issue was. The repairman they sent out to look at my ice maker was great - very competent and worked with no wasted motions. But when I asked for his office to send me an E-mail with an estimate for the repair they gave me a flat rate with no itemised breakdown - no cost listed for the part and no cost listed for the installation. Essentially the part was about a $170 component, but they wanted $452 to install it. So, subtracting out the taxes this means $250 for about maximum 20 minutes worth of installation time, which seems excessive to me. When I asked the office to itemise the repair bill they refused to do so, and they refused to tell me how much they actually pay for the part, and therefore what their charge for labour is also a mystery, which I find hard to believe is legal. The idiot WH press secretary for Joe Biden gives out more information than these people. The installation itself involves removing about 3-4 screws, plugging in the new part and then replacing the screws. You would have more trouble changing the headlight on your older-model automobile (one from before the days of adaptive, moving headlights). You people out there can make up your own minds, but I found their office staff very good at giving me a lot of run-on evasive replies that sounded like legalese that go on and on. Plus they were delivered in a rather condescending manner that screamed to me "you work for us, we do not work for you, the customer." I ended up finding another local repair service who would do the entire job for $300, and they WOULD give me an itemisation of the costs. When I told them about their competition the female person who I spoke with at least twice told me that I must be dealing with some one-man band that could not possibly offer the service they do - just so they raise the arrogance factor - and that is why that other company is cheaper. Why they have people with this attitude answering their phones is quite puzzling, but it would not be the first time in my life that a company picked a person least qualified to present a positive image to the public in that kind of a position. Viking built-in fridge/freezer has been slowly dying... First, ice maker problems, then cooling issues. Called Mardey's & they came out the next day. They diagnosed the problem and explained it to me in plain English so I could understand via phone as I wasn't there. Their explanation fit exactly with the series of events as well as what was seen in the freezer. They explained that a new part would have to be ordered that would fix the problem. We ordered the part and when the part arrived they showed up on time as promised and replaced the part. They were prompt, responsive, helpful, friendly and if I ever have another issue with my fridge or any appliance, I would definitely call them back!!! read more

Vinny came out within hrs, they had a refrigerator I liked in the warehouse and they had the refrigerator delivered and installed before the end of the day!!!!! First appointment was supposed to be by 5:00 but didn't come until almost 5:45. Second appointment was between 9:00am-1:00pm, no one called or showed up. Got call at 2:00 saying he was 25 minutes away. You would think that someone could have notified me earlier to let me know that between 9-1 wasn't gonna happen. They must think you have nothing else to do but sit around waiting for them to show up. I called the office twice but went to voice mail, left message, no one returned the call. Be cautious of their flat rate pricing although they quickly mention it when you make an appointment be cautious. I would not recommend this company shady business practices. The 140.00 service call is waived if you have them do the repair, but because of their flat rate pricing you are paying for it either way. A 75.00 to a 100.00 part cost they charge you around 200.00 to install which is only a 20-30 minute job. They will answer this review with their normal verbiage about how they informed me, their warranty, gas, etc, etc bunch of garbage. Ask lots of questions before you schedule like what is their flat rate pricing. BEWARE. Funny I got a text to do a review and it came up saying safari could not open page because the server could not be found, lol, this should say it all about this company. What can I say about Mardey's and their tech Vinnie other than WOW! What a great company and the service was outstanding. Not only was it easy to make an appointment, but they also follow up with an email to confirm and to advise you when they are on their way. They showed up when they said they would, explained to Vinnie what the issue was and he knew exactly what was wrong with our fridge and dishwasher. They order the parts and 3 days later Vinnie came a knocking and BINGO, fixed everything and even stuck around to make sure that both were working after running for a while. PLUS .. due to Covid19 he took the extra precaution of mask and not human touch with the customer, not even with the credit card. I think you missed the point, Vinny (manager). My frustration is that we already knew the problem and did not need a diagnostic at all. But I was informed that the only way you would come out to fix the problem, is if you did the unnecessary $100 diagnostic. A $500+ estimate via phone would have been enough for me to say "no thanks". I found our communications very misleading. Hence my review warning others so they don't make the same mistake. I wish Mardey's company all the luck in being successful. I was concerned about water leaking from ice maker in fridge. I found Mardys on line and they were in the area. I called and a very professional person asked some questions and then gave me options the next day for an appointment. They confirmed via email and the tech- Lucas text me 30 min prior. He showed up and was very professional. He took pictures of the fridge and model number then did an inspection. He felt it was overly frozen and needed to be defrosted and cleaned. He gave me 3 options and then proceeded to turn off the ice maker and completely clean it. He suggested leaving it off a few days. I was charged a fair service charge and explained if the problem occurs again, I would only be. Charged for actual work done and parts and not another service charge. Two times they sent the same guy to my house who had no idea how to fix my dishwasher. They told me I needed an expensive part; then the guy didn't know how to put it in the second time he was here. My Bosch dryer was not finishing the dry cycle. Mardey's came out and repaired it. The problem was not resolved and they came out again. Still not fixed after the second attempt. They were going to try a third time but told me to contact Bosch. I guess they don't know how to repair Bosch dryers. I believe they caused more problems because now the circuit breaker keeps tripping. I will tell Bosch about the service history with Mardey's and see what they say. Tried contacting several other local companies, all of which said they don't repair microwaves, couldn't find the schematics, and all kinds of excuses. Vinny was here on time, was very professional, helpful and honest. Don't call them. Repairman came and once said that needed a new electrical board. Over $500 plus shipping. Told him it would be better to buy a new washer. He did not checked for nothing else. I don't often write reviews on service repair company's as I find most of them are just the same. However, in the case of Mardey's I have to make an exception. I had a problem with my refrigerator's water dispenser and they sent their tech over the next day. After diagnosing the problem he noticed that I did not replace the old water filter with the manufacturer's recommended brand. He then suggested that I first replace the filter with the recommended manufacturer's part as that was much cheapert before spending more money for the replacement part. So, that's what I did. Unfortunately, that didn't resolve the problem. I called Mardey's the next day and told them to order the part. Here's a company that's not only reliable, honest but also has the technician's that have the experience and skills to quickly diagnose and fix the problem. I would recommend them in heart beat! The technician was so friendly and professional and immediately figured out what was wrong and got the part ordered. Last minute I need to add on an additional service and they did that without any problems. Both reasons for the visit were taken care of and I could not have been happier. Vinny is an excellent and honest technician. He diagnosed the problem that I was having with my washing machine right away. He determined that it would much more cost effective to buy a new washer than repair the original due to the parts and labor involved. He even recommended a few places and reminded me that it's a holiday weekend so I could get a good deal. He could have easily swayed me to do a repair, but he was honest, transparent and upfront. That is very refreshing in this day and age. When I thanked him for his honesty, his response was "it is like I would be giving a recommendation to a friend or relative." Excellent, I'm my opinion. We were very pleased with the professionalism of Mardey's Appliance Repair. We requested service online after hours, received a call back the next morning and Marisol kindly scheduled our appointment for the following day. Darius Moore was our service technician. He was polite, courteous, thorough and knowledgeable. After he completed his diagnosis of our failing oven and provided the quote he received from the office, there was no pressure or sales pitch on using them for the repair. He explained that we have 30 days to decide and if we do use them for the repair within that time, the service fee paid for today's appointment would be applied to the final invoice. Although we decided it was more cost effective to buy a new stove than to repair the 10 year old stove, if any issues with our other appliances develop, we will be calling Mardey's. read more

Unprofessional. Untrustworthy. Not only did they miss their appointment window but they didn't even have the courtesy of calling or texting to say they would be late after having me wait around all day. Then when they finally got here, after installing the part on the refrigerator, they said no when I asked for an itemized bill before paying with my credit card, at which point the installer was instructed to remove the part. He did then left. I would NOT recommend using these people. The installer Isaac was very nice though. Hi VINCE, in response to your response... in trying to justify your heinous actions only confirms them. I never had any service company who couldn't provide an itemized bill for work done, even oil change, electrical service, a/c service, plumbing services all provide itemized bills for work they do. It would have been very easy for you to provide one even on a case by case basis. Instead you adamantly refused to provide one. Leads someone to believe you have something to hide. And the court comment only came after you arbitrarily changed payment from credit card to cash-only after the refrigerator part was installed. Who keeps $450 in cash on them especially when they aren't in their own home. You see, the appliances you were repairing are at the home of a 94 y/o woman who is dying from a leaking heart and stage-4 kidney failure and who was in the adjacent room when you callously had your tech remove the part. read more

I recently had an issue with my washing machine where the door wouldn't lock and as a result, I wasn't able to run the machine (kept giving me a DL or "door lock" error). I've never had issues with appliances before... so naturally, I had no idea who to call. I did a quick google search and found Mardey's. They sent out Darius and he quickly figured out the issue and promptly fixed the machine. The price was fair (far better then buying a new machine) and, again, Darius communicated when he would be there, what he was doing and gave me a great price prior to fixing it. But they were very nice the tech suggested I try to get LG to give me a break since it was fairly new. They did run late and I had to call to ask when they would be coming. I called set up appointment explained this repair is for office refrigerators which have not been used since last year. I work from home and am about 30 minute drive to office and was told not to worry I'll get a text 30 minutes prior to technician arrival. I had appointment today 1-5. I called about 2:50 asked if they could tell me approximate arrival time I had a 3:00 zoom meeting and again said I'm about 30 minutes from the office. I received a text ..left ..got to the office to find out tech had arrived and left ! I was so upset! After I called again today to say again it takes me about 30 minutes to get to the office. I called the office was told too bad we can reschedule- I talked to technician was told he's to far away to come back he's sorry. Maybe call see if another tech was closer. My issue is ::: when I saud I'm about 39 minutes away several times ! I believe tech text me when he was about 15 minutes away! For this reason I will not reschedule and would recommend not to use customer satisfaction not a priority which I was told by tech they pride themselves in customer satisfaction! Hey vinny thanks for being so concerned! If you read my review I did not say I have an issue with the 4 hour time frame which you talk about several times ! I'm saying I told your office several times it takes me about 30 minutes to drive from my house to work where the repair is needed.
