Totally exhausted after a day of walking around Barcelona, and Sunday to boot (everything is closed) we opted to dine in the Renaissance Hotel's Lobby restaurant. At first we were a bit unsure because there were very few patrons In there. We ordered a meat plate with olives and tomato bread and two types of Paella, black rice and regular. Surprisingly the food was very fresh and tasty- the Paella having a bit of a different flair to its flavor. The waitstaff (who doubled as bartenders) were very friendly and made my husband an Arnold Palmer (something that is not big in Spain) with iced tea and homemade lemoneade. It was the best he'd ever had. I would definitely eat there again-
Also, if you only want tapas and drinks you have to check out the rooftop bar which is part of the same restaurant. The views are wonderful and it is just a great place to wind down... read more
