And when l ask them will the price go up, they said "In 3 to four months we will call you before the price is go up to negotiate the price" And when l asked them how much they will raise the price to, they told me that they can't say and that they will give me a call before the price raises. Well.... They lied. It went from 40 to a $100 real quick. They try to take $98 out without calling me. I call them and they wouldn't pick up. I left a msg and they wouldn't call back. So I cancel it and quickly took my things out of the storage, the same day, before they figure out that l cancel my payment and told my bank to not let them take out. They tried to toss my stuff out. Don't be fooled with their nice customer service in the beginning. They are pirates, hungry greedy, sneaky little bast@ds. Don't listen to any reviews. They all lying. I wish l had read someone review like mines before l signed up. They probably will buy fake reviewers to drown out my reply so people won't see it.

This storage facility was perfect for what I needed for a few months. I rented a climate controlled unit that included storing my cozy couch! Once I removed my things out of the unit, the items were exactly the same. If you rent a climate controlled unit -- you can only go into your storage unit during their business hours. Award Self Storage offers: a truck to move-in (did not use), along with several boxes and 2nd month rent for FREE! The facility sells boxes and such for typical moving needs. They also have carts inside the storage building to assist with moving items. Overall, this establishment did it's job and I had no issues while there. Also, the staff are nice and helpful when needed. Award Self Storage is 20 mins from Philadelphia which was a major plus!

My family has had a storage unit here for about 2 years...no issues. Then I decided to get another unit. Unfortunately, the gate is broken so when I went back to put things in the unit I couldn't get in the gate. Came back in the morning before work to try again, still no luck getting in. Turns out the gate is broken and we weren't told this when getting the unit. I dont mind the gate being broken- thats perfectly out of their control and they will be fixing it within about 10 days they said. My issue is with the fact that I wasn't notified, the sign on the gate remains indicating that it is open from 6am to 9pm, so twice I went within that time frame and couldn't get through. After calling this morning the person answering talked over us and wouldn't let us explain that the sign on the gate should indicate the ACTUAL CURRENT TIMES YOU CAN ENTER. Literally she hung up after talking over us and saying what she had to say. Now all my stuff has been sitting in a car overnight which isn't safe, and my one request that the times on the gate AND the website be reflective of actual times you can enter the property went unheard. Tried calling general customer service but it just loops you back to your local one. Again- the issue isn't in the gate being broken its the lack of competence and ability to effectively communicate current changes in time. I'm going to need them to get it together and do better.

This time I used the company for their "full packing services" which was anything but professional and I would never recommend to anyone. Two individuals showed up with their giant moving truck at 3 pm the day before our scheduled move and (as expected) couldn't find parking in the middle of Center City (we were not told ahead of time that they would be bringing a truck). They leave to drop the truck somewhere and return at 6 pm to START packing. Their "professional packing" consisted of haphazardly stuffing things into boxes, including placing liquid filled bottles upside down that ended up leaking through the boxes. The entire time they are packing, the main mover is complaining to us about how little he is paid per hour compared to how much we are paying for the services. It was beyond unprofessional and so uncomfortable, I am just baffled thinking back about it. Unfortunately the same guy showed up the following day for our long distance move across states. The complaining continued through the loading and unloading process, it was extremely uncomfortable and just felt so scummy. We still tipped well and I have a feeling he didn't allocate any of the tip to the other movers as we instructed. For the thousands of dollars we spent on this move, I would rate it zero stars. I would not recommend them to anyone, ESPECIALLY for "packing services". What a joke
