Ball took the time to explain the insurance coverage and their process which I appreciated. Our entire 6 bedroom, 2 bath home was loaded into the truck in less than 2 hours. Once we got to the new place, it was 99 degrees and these poor guys had 3 flights of stairs to deal with. They handled it so professionally, I was impressed. The company did not mention extra fees for moving a piano or additional workers when we made the booking. Everything was highly unorganized. The movers took close to half an hour to bring my partner's piano upstairs and did not remove the casters from the bottom, causing them to break. Several other items were dropped and damaged or broken. To top it off, one of the employees started to become violent and fight with his coworkers while trying to move our belongings to our new house. When I called in to see if the company would pay for items they damaged, the woman who answered became angry and accused me of lying to get a refund. We thought using a moving company instead of renting a truck and hiring day laborers would make the move less stressful, but we were wrong.

He called me multiple times throughout the week confirming my time we agreed on for the movers and then he called me four times in one day because he had to "move stuff around." Then he continued to push the time back... it was 12pm, 4pm and by 6pm we are still waiting for the movers. They didn't show up until 8pm!! Apparently, their first customer gave them a hard time so they had to make two trips for her and they were short staffed, so every move got pushed back. By the time they were done moving everything, it's was literally after midnight. Now, the time came to pay for everything and of course we wanted a discount and then one of the movers called Jim for us. HE HAD A TERRIBLE ATTITUDE WITH US!! Told us that it shouldn't have taken so long to move everything (despite us giving him the EXACT number of boxes and furniture we had and reconfirmed all of our things that same morning with him) and that we shouldn't get a discount. Then he started yelling at my mom because we called him after midnight WHEN IT WAS HIS FAULT THE MOVE WAS DONE SO LATE BECAUSE THEY LITERALLY DIDNT SHOW UP UNTIL 12 HOURS LATER. Jim did not want to give us a discount and he had a terrible, and I mean, terrible attitude. To make things worse, one of the movers heavily damaged a brand new dresser that he refused to get fixed. Good Move Movers, of Franklin Park/Elmhurst, Illinois, broke off one of our formal dining room…read morechairs and said we were responsible for the repair. One of the first crew put shelf holders in his bag from our bar shelving, and was not part of the second crew, so we can't unpack the bar. They never offered to bring them back to us. Told us to go buy them. They also gashed in the corner of one of the night stands and never told us, and now, when I try to call them, it goes directly to voice mail and they never call back. I paid cash so there was no recourse through a credit card company to dispute the charge. They picked up our furniture on July 11, 2026, held it for 2 nights in 2 trucks. The second truck was only about 1/4 filled. They were scheduled to deliver to our new address at 1 pm on Monday, July 13th, at 1 pm. They arrived an hour early and our closing wasn't complete until 12:30. All the boxes were packed by us, were colored coded and marked for every room. Many of the boxes were placed in the wrong rooms or left in the garage and we had to carry heavy boxes into the correct areas. One box of record albums was completely broken. Don't ever ever rely on them to move you! they are terrible! This battle is not over!
