However, today, I had a staff member question me about a broken item that was left near one of the elevators, and while I get that she was just doing her job, the way she approached me felt a bit accusatory. Been a CubeSmart customer for seven years. Each year they raised their prices. They seemed excessive but we had other priorities than moving our storage items. Apparently, that is what they are betting on! So, we now pay $224.00 while for the same 5' x 15' storage unit they charge $69.50. Don't trust the employees to do what you ask them to and what they say. I asked for my number to be changed while in office in person and to pay through the next 3 months. Because I was traveling out of state. He said he did and charged my card and I trusted it was taken care of until I returned. It wasn't and I ended up with a lien and my unit being scheduled to be sold! As I asked for help from local manager, he was no help and said he would have his boss call me but he never escalated it. Stolen property The reason for this review. Is because I have been with cube smart for 9 years. I have never really had any problems other than the previous manager that was there. The new manager that is there has seen what I have gone through. I was experiencing some economical difficulties at the time. So I have fallen delinquent on my account. I did become current and paid what I owed. Never once did I feel that my things in my unit were in jeopardy. I finally made the decision. To move out, because the price just continued to increase to the point where it was unaffordable for me. I moved everything out and I moved to my new storage unit. I did notice that there were some. Items that were missing that we're very expensive. Items and I know it was due to the fact that my unit lock was removed. I understand there is a procedure and policy behind that. I really don't have any way to prove this. The camera footage was probably removed off of the aisle where my unit is at. I don't have a time frame when it happened.But all I know is I have some things that are missing. Use this review and understand your personal items can't come up missing if you ever end up in this situation that I was in. There is an onsite manager that supposedly lives there. He is usually not in the office.Doesn't show that the office is closed. I have left several messages for him to return my phone calls so I can speak to him and he never does. This location is in Denver, Co. Off of 64th and Federal. If you would like to use a storage facility that NEVER gives you notice that they are raising your monthly fee...go here for sure! I have been here since 2017 and have had 3 or 4 increases and not one time have I received notification. I have called each time to verify they have my mailing address and they do. They are to give you 30 days notice and it is not happening. Also, we are in a PANDEMIC and what do they decide to do? Yes, raise the monthly rent by $30/month!! Are you joking? Thanks for being a company that cares about what is actually going on in the world. I work for a company that has a monthly sub fee and yes, we have increases, but have decided to hold off during times like this. Next, when you go online, you can rent the same exact unit I have for $65 LESS, but they say "oh, you are below market value so we can raise it". UMMMMMMMMMM really, so Cubesmart, you are willing to lose a 3.5 year customer over this???? I get it, raise the rent, but $30??? No thanks. I will NOT refer any business to this company, nor will I ever rent from here again. I will be relocating immediately!!! read more

If there was an option for zero stars I would be giving this place a zero. Our unit was recently robbed. It was definitely an employee that did this because our locks were intact & from the looks of it they came back a few times. They rummaged through & stole only what they wanted probably to make it look less suspicious. Our locks were intact & the facility provides a lock & keys for the unit so it could only be an employee that has access. We will most definitely be suing & pressing criminal charges. read more

Great customer service and very helpful people made this a nice experience overall. The facilities are clean and air conditioned in my unit. Really like the convenience and security offered here as well. Everyone has a special code to enter so it feels secure and safe. They also sell locks and insurance onsite for your belongings. Tim and Megan have helped me a few times and they are always kind, professional and efficient. I'll definitely use them again for my storage needs! read more

I picked up some stuff from my locker at CubeSmart, I didn't put the lock on correctly but I closed the the roll down door and it looks secure, a few days later the manager from Tamarac CubeSmart called me at night and HE said that I needed to come out and reposition the lock, I explained I live an hour away and it was my only night off, I had tickets for a show and I was on my way out with my wife. y'all have motion detector lights, cameras everywhere, card keys and pin numbers, the place is pretty secure, can it just wait until early morning because I work in that area. The guy told me I needed to come out or he was going to cut the lock off and charge me for a new one. I was not happy about this!! 2 hours in Sunday night traffic. I get there and door and lock appear secure it's just when you go look carefully at the latch, you notice it's in the wrong hole, I think they could have done better, I'm already paying them a hundred bucks a month for a little tiny closet. So the next day I closed out my locker and account with CubeSmart because I wasn't sure what else was coming down the line, more phone calls, more fees, more 'violations' and I just wasn't into it. Also the fact that these folks over at Tamarac kept asking for a five-star review on Google yelp etc, that they were really nice and helpful, before you even found out if they were or not. So they want to know how they did? They didn't do very well. I'm hoping that they come up with a better procedure as not to anger their customers. read more

I'm not sure HOW...(hopefully by paying them well), but this storage place seems to have hired the best staff around. They're always professional, kind, efficient, and helpful. It makes a difference. Terrible management, District Manager is even worse. Got a storage back in May, first month free, all was fine. I picked this particular cubesmart location since my wife and I had purchased a couple of storage auctions previously, and all seemed well. As a matter of fact, we have purchased and cleaned out 5 units at this location so far. The staff seemed helpful. Then in July, the problems quickly arose. Without any formal notice otherwise, no phone communication, nothing notated on my account, I was met by the store manager one morning and informed that she must put a red lock on my unit right then and there, without delay. Although quite irritated, as I had items that I needed from the unit, I was in the process of getting out and loading in the work truck, I could not get to the items at that point. I allowed her to lock the unit and left for most of the day. I returned just after 6PM and the store was closed for the day. Although I was able to track down the manager and quickly write her a check to catch my bill up. She was quite rude and acted like I was putting her out greatly, it was only 6:15PM, and I had scrambled most of the day to come up with the $220, the problem was that I had a bank deposit to make first, so I was forced to write a check. This whole situation completely threw my day off. In retrospect, what I had done was grabbed the wrong book of checks out of the truck, in a rush, and payed my bill with a closed account check, they are identical to the account I have at the same bank, in good standing even to this day. Three-weeks later, I was informed, in the same rude manner, and a red lock placed, that my check had gone returned, unpaid. Here again, the first communication about the issue. I wasn't exactly aware of the check, since I had not balanced out the account just yet, since I had been quite busy. The problem that Thursday was that I was supposed to be loading up the truck to be able to go to the Flea Market that Friday. Rewinding back to the first day I received my unit, I purchased two Masterlocks, that are quite a bit beefier than the standard padlocks, since I noticed with my other lock, I could move my lever just a bit and be able to roll the door right up with my lock still attached. This has been an issue the whole time, but one that I resolved myself and didn't want to put the staff out for a non-issue. Well, when she placed the red lock the second time, I took my beefier lock off, and was able to gain entry, and I used my wife's code to get through the gate. I loaded up what I could, shut the door and put my lock back on. As soon as I approached the Exit gate, I was approached in my truck by the store manager and a few other people with angry looks on their faces. I honestly thought I may be drug out of the truck and beaten at the time. However the store manager Karen only yelled at me and I told her I wouldn't go into my unit again until the bill is settled, and I have not. Then she got some detective involved, made me out to be some type of criminal in more ways then one, and I have been trying to deal with her and the district manager, in a polite and professional manner this whole time. Currently I still owe the bill, plus some extras, and have to have the bill paid and my stuff out by tomorrow. In addition, I have to find a place to put my stuff, if I could even pay the bill. That is not going to happen, so pretty much it is going to auction and I am strictly forbidden from buying it back. Thanks for nothing, CubeSmart! read more

Was a nice place BEFORE Ken entered. WORST Customer Service EVER with these two new employees from the start in 2019 (Ken & Jack) Especially Ken. They don't even keep up cleanliness on premises as they should for example the restrooms are always dirty too since these two employees started this past year. And if Ken is training his assistant (Jack), frankly he is doing a poor job especially if he is having him follow in his footsteps. Upper management needs to wake up please. Ken is Not management material nor should he be training others. Nor he should Not even be representing Cubesmart. Why was he put in a management position without proper educational & professional skills? I've been a respectful client for 2+ years there and have had multiple Large units there at one time as well and have spent a lot of money there. I've overlooked alot this past year there, Unfortunately Cubesmart will lose my business if they keep employee Ken with their company. Don't dare ask a question to Ken because Ken gets all uptight (ex: a simple store hours question because he'll glare at you & sometimes point fingers at you while answering and make rude hand gestures and roll his eyes at you then says "Read the Door." Ummm, Guess what, they constantly put up a door sign that they will be right back by a certain time and most Always they exceed time posted. That's why I was asking a simple question so that I know their planned schedule for the day so that I can work with them, incase I need anything such as purchasing boxing supplies, etc?! Unfortunately, One day as many others / there were acouple of us waiting in parking lot for a long while and we finally left & went elsewhere to purchase moving supplies since Ken and his assistant Jack didn't come back on time that they posted on door.(We waited an additional 30 minutes that day!). I'm so disappointed with this management team here now. As a single woman, I've felt threatened by Ken on different occasions throughout the past year and it doesn't matter to them as they will go out of their way to make you feel uncomfortable. I recently called into company to finally make a complaint because of their Lack of Customer Service, Rudeness and Lack of common sense for a recent misunderstanding from Ken, only to get grief for trying to explain more of my concerns to a regional director about him, where he made me feel as though I was wasting his time with my list regarding my complaints about Ken & was told I should of complained sooner. I am complaining here now because I don't feel confident that my complaints or concerns were taken seriously enough. To name afew examples here, (eventhough there are many more) Here's Another example, I have many times paid cash for my monthly payments with previous management without any issues...(a simple & convenient thing) but have had Ken freak out & stand up to stick out his chest towards me from behind the desk to make known and show his authority and state he doesn't want to accept cash for payment. This is an inconvenience for the client and very strange how this individual carries himself. Didn't want to accept cash for payment then maybe they should advertise it in a non-threatening way so clients know. Don't want to upset Ken otherwise He goes out of his way to make you uncomfortable about it or fires you up & exaggerates things and points to his name tag to proclaim that he's the boss and it's private property & what ever he says goes. He uses this statement towards anything or everything you ask him. This employee is seriously disturbed & disturbing! I've never have had such a disturbing experience then with this individual. Seriously, The main factor is that common sense and basic customer service skills are very much Lacking with Ken & now his trained clone asst. Jack .. that they are a pair that drive customers away. These employees are scary. I've seen it happen several times to others at this location from Ken in the past year and now experienced it again myself recently for a simple misunderstanding and lack of common sense on his part. I've never been so insulted or upset. And he didn't even apologize & I asked the regional director for an apology from Ken and he said that I won't get one from him. I don't complain as I figured that sometimes people may be just having a bad day but this has gotten ridiculous & now with these 'two' employees;(Especially with Ken, apparently he's not having a bad day; KEN is always like this and pushing his cocky unpleasant and unappealing attitude onto clients and in an inappropriate fashion) This is so unacceptable and getting scary because he (Ken, at leetsdale location) seems to be getting worse & creepy.. and I'm very doubtful that the regional director wants to understand whats going on with Ken. There are many other storage unit companies that would be happier to earn & keep your business and give you the respect you deserve and for much cheaper rates too* read more

Jana was very helpful, warm and professional. She showed me all around the building until we found the right space for me. Unlike all the other storage companies I visited, they didn't make me jump through hoops to get a special "online only" rate or promotion. Very up front with their pricing, and it wound up being a few dollars less than the next closest I looked at. Jana made it easy to get everything set up when we returned to sign the lease. Since then I have been back to the property several times and every other employee I have interacted with has been polite and friendly. The building seems newer, it's very well maintained and CLEAN! Only needed space for a month, but the sign up and closure of the contract was quick, easy and no-haggle. Pleasant employees and nice location/interior. One very small negative is climate-controlled is a bit of a misnomer. If there was an A/C, it was hard to tell. Very warm and stuffy in the building, and when you're working hauling things out of trucks and around the complex to your bin, you sweat a lot more than you should for working in an interior place. Temp must be about 78 or so. Really could use actual A/C in the place. But this is small thing; the experience with staff was great and price was good. read more

Disregard what the other loon wrote. They don't lock you out after only one day and when they treat you like a friend, they mean it. The people at the facility are great and their pricing is fair for what you get. Facility conditions are nice and there's more amenities than you can ask for in a storage facility. Free coffee alone saves $30 per month if you buy a McDonald's coffee each day, making their prices as competitive, if not more competitive, than any others in the area. I dealt with the Manager, Darren Hill, and he was the nicest, most pleasant person to deal with in my recent memory in regard to any kind of customer service business. Very thorough and accommodating for my needs. If you want a clean, safe facility for storage, pick this site. After all, it's just storage; not home shopping. read more
