My husband and I really enjoyed Cuban Kitchen! The decor, atmosphere, and food give you a taste of the island all the way from Bend. We ordered the Cuban sandwhich with fries and the Pallomilla (thin steak with plantains and beans). And, whatever you do, don't forget to order the guava pastry. It pairs well with the Cuban coffee (also very sweet) and is the perfect size for two people. The staff are also super friendly! If you aren't sure what to order, they are happy to make recommendations. Thanks for the great dinner!

Delicious, authentic cuban food. Did a quick stop in Bend and happen to find this place and so glad we stopped. Food was amazing and so much flavor. The service was great! Definitely will come back if im back in Bend. Must try!

Have reviewed before, will review again, inshallah. Bend punches above its weight for food in general, but this place is the great hidden gem. It was my first stop back in town on my annual trip! Cafe con leche was as delicious as ever. This year, I switched it up and had the palomilla. Mmm, that mojo sauce! So tart and tangy. But the single thing that likely rocked my world the most were the tostones. Dipped in this remoulade, sent directly from heaven? Oh yes. Super friendly service, chill vibes -- this place is not to be missed. Or maybe keep missing it so there is no line for me.

Being a native of South Florida, I did a double take when I saw the sign for this restaurant. I walked in and saw the owner wearing a Miami Dolphins hat, and I felt like I was right at home! The food was even better... Authentic, fresh and exactly as I had hoped for! I'm really glad this restaurant is here and the owner was extremely nice. It's not that close to my house but it's definitely worth the drive. I hope people and Bend appreciate good Cuban food because this place has it.

Cuban Kitchen deserves every one of the 5-star reviews they get online. The food here is simply amazing. They offer ordering through their website but I called the restaurant to place our order because I don't like the idea of GrubHub getting a 20-30% cut of the bill. The food was ready by the time I got there 10 minutes later. I usually go for a Cubano or a Medianoche when I try a new Cuban restaurant but I was feeling adventurous tonight and went for the Picadillo. My wife had the Roast Pork dish. The pork was moist and delicious (I might have snuck a bite). The first few bites of my Picadillo was good until my wife pointed out that I needed to add the sauce to the dish. Oh. My. Gosh. It was next level. The sides were delicious and complemented the flavors of our main dish. Unfortunately, we made a huge mistake ordering the empanadas. I just couldn't stop eating them. The crust was flakey and buttery and the meat filling was just the best. I probably could have scarfed down 2-3 more. If you're looking for something different in Bend, stop on by the Kitchen for a taste of Cuban cuisine. ¡Que rico!

First time dining at Cuban Kitchen and it definitely will not be the last. Everything has been spot on! The waiter was intuitively attentive and friendly, but didn't hover. The food here is all homemade (including all bread, sauces, desserts) and DELICIOUS! Prices are quite reasonable too. This is the first restaurant I have come to in central Oregon that I haven't left saying, "I could do better at home." If you love good Cuban food or have never tried it, you need to come here!

Drove by this place a number of times, before finally stopping in. Best decision, EVER! You cannot go wrong with the food here. Over the past year - I try to come once a week, if I can. To date, I've had everything on the menu and then some - always ask if there is a chef's special - the Cuban stew is off the charts! As a "regular" I've had the pleasure to getting acquainted with the owners. Awesome folks. Do yourself a favor - come here. Once you have, you will be hooked!

First things first, the food was packed with the most amazing flavors that blended perfectly together. My wife's beef sandwich and my pork plate with rice and beans were top notch! A simple but exquisite menu. The atmosphere was exactly what you would expect from an authentic Cuban restaurant, very chill and welcoming, and the vibe is very inviting. The staff was over the top when it came to service made you feel so very welcome...we will be back again.

Delicious food including house-made Cuban bread and pork smoke for several hours. The peach habanero hot sauce was particularly tasty. We bought several bottles to enjoy at home. We started our meal with a cocktail, I tried the Cuban rum punch and my guy had a mojito... Both were perfect. We each had a Cubano pressed sandwich....again delicious. Service was friendly and helpful. Restaurant is colorful and cozy. We will be back next time we are in Bend!

Definitely a 4.5! Everything has a unique taste. We started with the loaded yucca with shredded pork. I ordered a rum punch and hubby ordered Cuba libre. We both ordered the pressed Cubano sandwich. Mine was the traditional with sweet plantains as a side and hubby ordered the picante Cubano with tostines. We ended up buying a bottle of their peach habanero sauce to go home with us. It's super flavorful and not too spicy. Very good food and nice service.

If you're reading this, please take it as a sign to go to Cuban Kitchen. After a long day of heaving hay, we looked for a good bite with good ambiance to wind down, and we couldn't be more grateful to have stumbled on to Cuban Kitchen via Reddit (shout out). We genuinely had such a great meal. Copy my perfect meal? Fresh mojito Ceviche app Pollo Con Pollo Guava Pastry Cuban Kitchen is the perfect place for any occasion. But really, you don't need an occasion to stop by and get the best sandwich I've had in Oregon. The staff also made sure to really make us feel at home. Thank you all for that! We will be back!

A Taste of Havana in Our Own Backyard! From the moment you walk through the door, you know you're in for something special. The atmosphere hits you first--vibrant, welcoming, and infused with beautiful lights and authentic Cuban energy that transports you straight to Havana. But let's talk about what matters most: the FOOD. The Cubano Picante is nothing short of a revelation. This isn't just a sandwich; it's a masterpiece of perfectly balanced flavors--tender marinated pork, the subtle kick of spice, all pressed between house made bread that achieves that magical crisp-yet-soft texture that defines a perfect Cuban sandwich. Each bite tells a story of culinary tradition and passion. The ability to substitute sides is a small detail that speaks volumes about their customer focus, and trust me--opt for the sweet plantains. These golden morsels of caramelized perfection complement the sandwich's savory profile in a way that makes your taste buds dance. The natural sweetness is brought out perfectly, tender on the inside with just the right amount of caramelization on the edges. What elevates this place above other restaurants isn't just the outstanding food--it's the complete package. The atmosphere feels both exciting and comfortable, like you've discovered a hidden gem that somehow feels like home at the same time. Whether you're a Cuban cuisine aficionado or new to these flavors, this restaurant delivers an experience that will have you planning your next visit before you've even paid the check. In a sea of dining options, this place stands out as truly exceptional with amazing service. Don't walk--RUN to experience this culinary treasure for yourself! I can't believe it took me until now to find it.

SO SO SO GOOD I devoured the Roast Pork plate. Paired with the little bottle of hot sauce, it was the perfect combo. The roast pork and lime and rice were such a perfect combo - I'm salivating at the thoughts. Plantains were on the sweeter side. Even better, the service was really great - I came in for lunch on a Thursday and there were only 2 tables taken. The server was attentive the entire time and made the experience even better!

I've only been once twice, both times I'm had the Cuban sandwich which is delicious. Their plantains are tasty too. Definitely worth trying.
